Editorial Policy

How we research, write, review and update our loan content — and how we keep it independent.

Last updated 15 June 2026

BankCreds covers loans, credit and personal finance for Indian borrowers — topics where getting it wrong has real consequences. This policy explains how we work to keep our content accurate, useful and independent.

Who writes our content

Our pages are produced by dedicated teams — financial analysts, writers and app reviewers — not anonymous content mills. You can see who they are on our Authors page, and every page carries a byline and a "last updated" date.

How our content is produced and reviewed

We use AI assistance to draft and structure content efficiently, but nothing is published automatically. Every article passes through a human review gate: our Content & SEO team proofreads it, checks it against our editorial standards, and verifies that every statistic and citation traces back to a credible source before it goes live. Where content has been through that review, you'll see a "Reviewed by" credit alongside the author byline.

How we research

  • We read the actual loan terms published by each lender — rates, fees, eligibility and the fine print — rather than relying on marketing claims.
  • We cross-check every lender against the RBI's public register of NBFCs (or its banking licence) before we feature it.
  • We review real borrower feedback, including Play Store ratings and complaints, to reflect how an app actually performs.

Accuracy and sourcing

Figures such as interest rates, processing fees and loan limits are checked against the lender's own disclosures and updated when they change. Where possible we point to authoritative sources such as the RBI and official lender pages. Numbers are indicative and set by the lenders themselves — always confirm the current terms with the lender before you borrow.

Editorial independence

Our rankings, ratings and reviews are based on merit alone — never on commercial relationships. We explain exactly how the business is funded on our How We Make Money page. No partner can pay to change a ranking or soften a review.

Keeping content current

Because loan terms change often, we review our pages on a rolling basis and refresh them when lenders update their offers. The "last updated" date on each page reflects the most recent review.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it — see our Corrections Policy for how to flag an error.

Not financial advice

BankCreds provides comparison and educational information, not personalised financial advice. Your eligibility and the right product for you depend on your individual circumstances. Consider your own situation, and consult a qualified adviser where appropriate, before taking a loan.

Disclaimer: BankCreds.com is a loan comparison platform and does not directly lend, disburse, or provide any financial products. We aggregate and display loan offers from RBI-registered banks and NBFCs to help you make an informed decision. All loan applications are processed directly by the respective lender. Interest rates, charges, eligibility, and terms shown are indicative and subject to the lender's final assessment. Please read the lender's terms and conditions carefully before applying.
