CashVia Loan App Real or Fake? Lender, Charges and Warning Signs

CashVia is a real Indian loan app with an RBI-registered lender behind it. It is owned by Grow Money Capital Private Limited, formerly Eclear Leasing & Finance, and that NBFC makes every CashVia loan itself.

So the app isn't a fake. The weaker points are cost and conduct: CashVia's pages quote three different starting rates, and some borrowers describe abusive recovery calls. Before you apply, get the Key Fact Statement (KFS) and set the money you'll receive against the total of your instalments. Our checks are as of October 2026.

At a glance

  • Owner and lender: Grow Money Capital, serial 2797 in RBI's list of registered NBFCs, with data as on 30 September 2026.
  • Not a scam on the evidence: our searches found no RBI warning, police action or press coverage about CashVia or its lender.
  • Loan size: from ₹10,000 up to ₹2,00,000 on Play, with 90 to 105 days to repay.
  • Cost: an APR of up to 58.8% a year, and fees aren't refunded if you're turned down.
  • Main worry: reviews describe rude collectors, calls to references and endless sales calls.

CashVia's owner and lender

CashVia's website says the platform is fully owned and run by Grow Money Capital, an RBI-registered NBFC. It quotes registration number B-14.03064. It also says all lending through CashVia is carried out solely by Grow Money Capital. The Play listing names the same firm as its only lending partner.

One line on Play is confusing. It says CashVia "does not directly provide loans" and only facilitates loans from NBFCs. That's true in a narrow sense, because the NBFC lends and CashVia is just the app. But the NBFC and the app's owner are the same company.

Two more details are worth knowing. Grow Money Capital's own list of 19 lending partners doesn't include CashVia, probably because CashVia is its own brand. And CashVia's partner page names BharatPe as its lead sourcing partner, so an offer may reach you through BharatPe.

Don't confuse it with a Mexican app that also uses the CashVia name. That one is a different company with a different package. The Indian app is published by GROW MONEY CAPITAL PRIVATE LIMITED.

How to confirm CashVia's RBI status

No app can be "RBI registered" by itself. What you check is the lender. Here's the order we followed.

  1. Copy the lender's name from the Play listing: Grow Money Capital Private Limited.
  2. Find it in RBI's list of registered NBFCs. With data as on 30 September 2026, it's serial 2797, shown as formerly Eclear Leasing & Finance. It sits under the New Delhi office and can't take public deposits.
  3. Compare the CIN. RBI shows U74899DL1995PTC069216, the same number as the lender's grievance page.
  4. Open RBI's list of cancelled registrations. Ours wouldn't load. The September 2026 entry makes a cancellation unlikely, but it's worth a look.
  5. Search RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory under Grow Money Capital. It refused to connect for us, so CashVia's entry is unconfirmed.
  6. If someone offers a "CashVia" loan outside the app, report it on Sachet. That's RBI's portal for complaints about unregistered lenders.
  7. Ask for the KFS before you sign. It should list the APR and every charge in rupees.

The cost of a CashVia loan

CashVia's prices change with the page you read. The Play listing, updated 14 October 2026, is the most specific, so the table leans on it.

The listing's worked example is ₹25,000 for 3 months at 36% a year. Interest is ₹2,250 and the processing fee is ₹1,250, so the loan costs ₹3,500. You pay about ₹9,500 a month, or ₹28,500 in all.

Put simply, you borrow ₹25,000 and hand back ₹28,500 within about three months. Our own sums put that above the 58.8% APR cap the listing states. So ask for the exact APR on your KFS and compare it with that cap.

Other CashVia pages disagree with each other. The home page says up to ₹5 lakh, up to 12 months, and interest from 1.0% a month. The about page says from 3% a month, and the apply screen says from 10.99% a year. Go by the figures in your own KFS, not the banners.

One more cost to know: the refund policy says application and processing fees are kept if your loan is rejected.

What makes people suspicious of CashVia

  • Recovery conduct. One reviewer says collectors used abusive language about family members, called the borrower's references and hid their names. Another says they were harassed and asked for extra money to close the file. CashVia's own terms promise no abusive language and calls only from 7 AM to 7 PM on working days.
  • Constant calls. Some users get 5 or 6 sales calls a day, even after repaying early or without ever borrowing.
  • Contacts access. The privacy policy asks for contacts so you can pick a reference. The terms go further and list phone contacts as required data. RBI's 2025 digital lending rules tell apps to stay away from your contact list.
  • Odd data labels. Play's Data safety page says no data is collected, yet lists location, installed apps and SMS as shared. Worse, it says your data travels without encryption, and there's no way to ask for deletion.
  • Loose ends. The App support block on Play lists a free Gmail account, with "capital" spelt wrong, plus another phone number, +919211728444. The refund policy still reads "[Name and designation to be provided]".

A rejection, on its own, is not a sign of fraud. Two reviewers with credit scores of 750 and 778 were turned down. That's annoying, but CashVia's terms say you must also pass its internal credit policies.

CashVia ratings and complaints

As of 30 October 2026, CashVia had 4.5 stars from 3.23K ratings and 1L+ downloads on Google Play. We read 499 written reviews from 19 February to 29 October 2026. Of those, 255 gave five stars and 175 gave one.

Most five-star reviews are one or two words. As many as 54 said only "good". We saw no single-day burst, but the detailed reviews are mostly the angry ones. A few five-star posts read like polished ads, such as one claiming money in 10 minutes.

Happy users like having three months to repay and getting money fast, though one says the interest is "little bit high". Unhappy users describe recovery calls, OTP and bank-detail errors, and an e-mandate step that kept repeating. One reports a double debit by UPI and auto-pay. Two say paying early didn't earn them a second loan.

Is that really CashVia? Spotting fakes

  • The genuine app is CashVia by GROW MONEY CAPITAL PRIVATE LIMITED on Google Play. Install it from there and nowhere else.
  • Ignore any "CashVia" offer that wants a fee before money is sent. Real fees are set in the loan offer and shown in the KFS.
  • Pay back only inside the app or through the payment link it generates. An agent's own account or UPI ID is a red flag.
  • Check the caller's number against CashVia's published lines. Collectors who hide their name and the CashVia name, as one reviewer describes, are breaking the app's own code.
  • If a caller threatens to share your number or photos, hang up, save the call log and report it.

Getting help: CashVia contacts and escalation

  1. CashVia support: +91 88008 31648 or support@cashvia.in (Mon to Sat, 10 AM to 6 PM).
  2. Lender's grievance officer: Mr. Sunil Pal, gro@growmoneycapital.in, 9311210198. CashVia's footer links to this grievance matrix.
  3. Principal Nodal Officer: Mr. Saurav Saini, pno@growmoneycapital.in, 9310672031.
  4. RBI: if your complaint is open for more than 30 days, go to the Integrated Ombudsman portal, cms.rbi.org.in. The RBI helpline is 14448.
  5. Fraud or threats: report it to the national cybercrime line, 1930.

CashVia's terms name two other officers, Dhruv Bhardwaj and Amit Shroff, on the main support number. If one channel goes quiet, write to both. Our CashVia customer care page collects these contacts. Changed your mind right after payout? The lender's policy gives a cooling-off exit of up to T+1 days, repaying the principal plus proportionate APR.

Our view: should you borrow from CashVia?

CashVia may suit someone who needs ₹10,000 to ₹2,00,000 for about three months and can repay on time. It also helps if you're comfortable with an NBFC that lends through its own app.

Look elsewhere if the KFS APR is near or above 58.8%, or if you'd struggle to repay in 90 days. The same goes if you don't want an app asking for your contacts. Before you decide, compare Moneyview, mPokket and KreditBee. Our full CashVia review has the detailed ratings, and our loan app reviews hub has the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Is CashVia real or fake?

CashVia is real. It's the loan app of Grow Money Capital Private Limited, an NBFC listed in RBI's register (data as on 30 September 2026). The same company owns the app and lends the money. We found no RBI warning or police case. The concerns are its cost, data access and how some collectors behave.

Is CashVia RBI approved?

RBI doesn't approve apps; it registers lenders. CashVia's lender, Grow Money Capital, is serial 2797 in RBI's list of registered NBFCs, under the New Delhi office. Its CIN matches the lender's own pages. We couldn't reach RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory, so CashVia's listing there is still unconfirmed.

What does a CashVia loan cost?

The Play listing gives an APR of up to 58.8% a year, with interest and fees set in each offer. Its sample loan of ₹25,000 for 3 months costs ₹3,500 in interest and fees, so you repay ₹28,500. Fees aren't refunded if you're rejected. Your KFS shows the exact figures.

What is the CashVia customer care number?

CashVia's support number is +91 88008 31648, and the email is support@cashvia.in. Both are staffed from 10 AM to 6 PM, every day except Sunday. For complaints, the lender's grievance officer is Mr. Sunil Pal on 9311210198, at gro@growmoneycapital.in. If a number isn't on CashVia's site or the lender's grievance page, check it before you trust it.

How do I stop CashVia recovery harassment?

CashVia's terms ban abusive or threatening language and limit recovery calls to 7 AM to 7 PM on working days. Record the date, time and number of each bad call. Then complain in writing to support@cashvia.in and the lender's grievance officer. If you're threatened or blackmailed, call 1930 and report it.

Can I cancel a CashVia loan or repay early?

Yes. The lender's policy gives a cooling-off exit of up to T+1 days, repaying the principal plus proportionate APR without penalty. After that, CashVia's terms allow part or full prepayment at any time, with interest recalculated. One reviewer says all three EMIs were still collected after early closure, so get the closing amount in writing.

Is the Indian CashVia the same as the Mexican CashVia app?

No. A Mexican loan app also uses the name CashVia, but it's a separate company. The Indian app is published on Google Play by GROW MONEY CAPITAL PRIVATE LIMITED, and loans are in rupees from that NBFC. Check the developer name before you install anything.
