TrustPaisa Loan App Real or Fake? Two NBFCs and a Tenure Gap
By Ramesh Kulkarni · Content Writer Edited by BankCreds Content & SEO Team Updated 30 October 2026 Reviewed by BankCreds Financial Experts TrustPaisa is a real loan app. Its loans are funded by two Kolkata NBFCs that RBI has registered. They are Thanvir Bros Private Limited and Sonu Marketing Private Limited, which trades as Brahma Finance. Both name TrustPaisa on their own websites. A Bengaluru firm, Flexidigital Tech India Private Limited, runs the app. It says it holds no lending licence.
Safe is harder to call. TrustPaisa's Play listing promises 91 to 365 days to repay. Yet many reviewers say their first loan ran just 7 or 10 days. In a reply to one of them, TrustPaisa itself says first loans tend to be shorter. So before you accept, check the repayment date and the total due in the Key Fact Statement (KFS). Our checks are as of 30 October 2026.
The TrustPaisa answer in brief
- Real? Yes. Flexidigital Tech India runs it as a loan service provider (LSP), and two NBFCs lend.
- Lenders: Thanvir Bros (Sl. No. 7663) and Sonu Marketing (Sl. No. 7136), both in RBI's 30 September 2026 list.
- Listed terms: ₹3,000 to ₹45,000, repaid across 91 to 365 days. Interest is up to 36% a year, with a fee of up to 15% plus GST.
- Biggest gap: reviewers describe 7 and 10-day first loans, which clash with the listed 91-day minimum.
- Also note: an "account management fee" that is named but never priced.
The company behind TrustPaisa and its two lenders
Flexidigital Tech India Private Limited owns the TrustPaisa app and website. It was set up in Karnataka in 2023 (CIN U72900KA2023PTC194316) and used to be called Fingular Tech India. Its own terms say it isn't registered with RBI and has no licence to lend. That is normal for an LSP. It finds borrowers and runs the app, while a regulated lender puts up the money.
The two lenders are:
- Thanvir Bros Private Limited, Kolkata. It says it has held RBI licence 05.01454 since 1998. Its contact page lists Trustpaisa among its authorised digital lending apps, with the number 02269875175.
- Sonu Marketing Private Limited, Kolkata, trading as Brahma Finance. It gives its certificate as B.05.04069. Its site has a page naming Trust Paisa as its digital lending platform, on Android and iOS.
TrustPaisa also says it is a member of FACE, which it calls the RBI-recognised self-regulatory body for fintech. FACE's own member sheet does list Flexidigital and Trustpaisa, at row 146.
Checking TrustPaisa's lenders with RBI: a walk-through
You can repeat these steps in about ten minutes. We did them on 30 October 2026.
- Write down the lenders' names. TrustPaisa's site and Play listing both name Thanvir Bros Pvt Ltd and Sonu Marketing Pvt Ltd.
- Look both up on RBI's register. In RBI's list for 30 September 2026, Thanvir Bros is Sl. No. 7663 and Sonu Marketing is Sl. No. 7136. Both come under RBI's Kolkata office and take no public deposits.
- Match the CINs. Thanvir Bros is U64990WB1984PTC038350. Sonu Marketing is U51909WB1995PTC068572.
- Visit each lender's website. Both list TrustPaisa as an app they work with. This is the strongest check, because a scam app can't easily get itself onto a lender's own page.
- Try RBI's directory of lending apps. That page timed out on us. Google Play says only apps on that RBI list may publish personal loan apps in India. So it's worth a look.
- Read the KFS. It must name one of the two lenders, and show the tenure and the total due.
One small oddity: RBI's list gives a Gmail address as Sonu Marketing's registered email. RBI's site was unreachable, so the list we used was an Internet Archive copy. We found no RBI penalty, news report or police action naming TrustPaisa, Flexidigital or either lender. There's more on each step in our guide to checking any loan app with RBI.
TrustPaisa loan costs: the listing versus the loans people get
TrustPaisa's pages give two sets of terms, one on Play and one for first-time borrowers.
Term | Published figure | Where it appears |
|---|---|---|
Amount | ₹3,000 to ₹45,000 | Play listing |
First loan | ₹2,500 to ₹10,000 | TrustPaisa service pages |
Tenure | 91 to 365 days | Play listing and terms |
First-loan tenure | 61 to 180 days | TrustPaisa service pages |
Interest and APR | Up to 36% a year | Play listing |
Fee taken at payout | Up to 15%, plus GST | Play listing |
Account management fee | Named, no amount given | Play listing |
Prepayment | No penalty, but no refund on early closure | Play listing and short-term loan page |
Late payment | Charged after a grace period of up to 2 days, no amount given | Short-term loan page |
The homepage adds a third range, ₹500 to ₹45,000. Here is the worked example from Play. Borrow ₹42,508 for 365 days at 24% a year. The fee is ₹2,125, with ₹383 GST on it. You repay ₹48,235, of which ₹5,727 is interest, and the APR comes to 36%. By our check, you'd receive ₹40,000 and pay an EMI of about ₹4,019.54.
Borrowers describe very different loans:
- 26 September 2026: a first loan with ₹3,500 credited and ₹3,800 due in 10 days.
- 18 October 2026: ₹4,000 taken and ₹4,358 repaid, over 10 days.
- 4 October 2026: on ₹15,000, interest of 790, a processing fee of 2,242 and an account management fee of 3,800.
- A June 2025 review on TrustPaisa's own homepage: ₹2,500 borrowed, about ₹2,400 received and ₹2,879 repaid, on a 7-day term.
Those costs are far above what a 36% yearly rate would produce. We haven't turned them into APRs, since each is one person's word. Brahma Finance's own pages give an APR of 35% to 90% for its ₹50,000 to ₹2,00,000 loans. The same text sits on its TrustPaisa page, and it's unclear whether it applies here.
What borrowers report about TrustPaisa
On 30 October 2026, TrustPaisa had 4.1 stars from 12,279 ratings and 1,000,000+ downloads. It was updated on 16 October 2026 and has been on Play since 3 March 2025. The split is stark: 8,934 five-star and 2,571 one-star ratings, with few in between.
In the 500 newest reviews, from 16 September to 29 October 2026, we counted 311 five-star and 154 one-star. Of the five-star ones, 183 were three words or fewer, such as "good" or "nice". Some one-star texts also repeat almost word for word. One about an account stuck "Under Review" appeared in March, April and May 2026.
The complaints cluster around a few things:
- Short tenures. Reviews on 18, 22 and 24 October 2026 describe 10-day, one-week and 7-day loans. A 4 October reviewer said the first loan was 10 days and the next a 2-month EMI.
- Surprise fees. A 27 June 2026 reviewer was asked to pay an "account management fee" on top of the processing fee and interest.
- Auto-debit trouble. On 20 October 2026, a borrower said money was debited again after the NOC. July 2026 reviews say the eNACH mandate stayed after repayment.
- Stuck payouts. A 6 October 2026 review describes more than 2 days in "disbursement", with the mandate already set.
- Recovery pressure. A 23 September 2026 reviewer said the app threatened to contact family, and they complained to RBI. Another described 3 calls a day from payout onwards.
- No repeat loans. On 25 October 2026, a borrower who had repaid on time 3 to 4 times was told no loans were on offer.
The good reviews mention fast transfers and help despite a low credit score. One on 29 October 2026 called the app helpful, but said the interest was high.
Where the "fake" worry about TrustPaisa comes from
- Tenure that doesn't match. Google Play's rules forbid personal loans with full repayment due in 60 days or fewer. TrustPaisa lists 91 to 365 days. The 7 and 10-day loans in reviews, if accurate, would break both. Lender Thanvir Bros goes further, offering short-term money for as few as 10 days on its own site.
- A cooling-off rule for tiny loans. TrustPaisa's Fair Practices Code sets a one-day cooling-off period for loans under seven days. So the policy itself expects such loans.
- An unpriced fee. The account management fee appears among the final terms, but no amount is given anywhere.
- Phone data. Play's Data safety section lists calendar events and installed apps among data collected. Installed apps and device IDs are listed as shared. The privacy policy even mentions "contact lists", which RBI's digital lending rules keep apps away from.
- Numbers that don't agree. The homepage claims 25 Lakh+ downloads and ₹795 Cr+ lent. Another page says 20 Lakh+ and ₹270 Cr+. Play shows 10L+.
- Two grievance officers. The grievance page names Harish S. The Fair Practices Code names Sharath Kumar, with the same phone and email.
Plenty is normal, though. An LSP working with NBFCs is a normal setup. So are a fee cut at payout, PAN and Aadhaar checks, a selfie and a bank statement.
Telling real TrustPaisa contact from a scam
- The right app. On Play it's "Trustpaisa: Loan app in India", package trustpaisa.app, by Flexidigital Tech India. Brahma Finance says an iOS app exists too.
- The right website. The lending site is on a .com address. A messaging business uses the TrustPaisa name on a .in address, and it doesn't lend. A test copy of the lending site, with different figures, also floats around online.
- No upfront fees. TrustPaisa takes its fee at payout. A caller who wants money first is not TrustPaisa.
- Known collectors. TrustPaisa names five collection partners: Fairdebt, Karza Sudhaar, Agamyaa Customer Service, Synergipro BPO Solutions and Legalpay Technology. Ask any caller which one they work for.
- Repay inside the app. Never pay into a personal UPI ID, and screenshot every payment.
- Close the mandate. After your last payment, ask in writing for the eNACH or auto-debit mandate to be cancelled, and get the NOC.

- TrustPaisa's grievance officer: Harish S, on 022-69875199 or grievance@trustpaisa.com.
- Thanvir Bros: grievance officer Mr. Biki, on 94776 64928 or cc@thanvirbros.in. The second level is Binod, a director, at nodal@thanvirbros.in.
- Brahma Finance (Sonu Marketing): Mr. Kathik T, at TP_SUP@brahmafinance.in or +91 7022794111, as given on its TrustPaisa support page.
- RBI: TrustPaisa's code points you to RBI after one month. The complaint site is cms.rbi.org.in and the helpline is 14448. Name the lender on your KFS.
- Fraud: for threats or money taken by an impostor, call 1930 and tell the police.
Which lender's officer you write to depends on the name in your KFS. All of these contacts are listed on our TrustPaisa customer care page.
Is TrustPaisa a good idea for you?
It may suit a borrower aged 21 to 60 who needs a small sum. You can be salaried or self-employed, and the site expects about ₹15,000 a month in income. Go ahead only if the KFS shows a tenure you can live with and every fee in rupees.
Skip it if a 7 or 10-day repayment would stretch you, or if nobody will put the account management fee in writing. Other small-loan apps worth comparing are Branch, Stashfin and SmartCoin. For our scores and the full list of pros and cons, see the TrustPaisa review.
Frequently asked questions
Is TrustPaisa real or fake?
TrustPaisa is real. Flexidigital Tech India Private Limited runs the app. The lenders are Thanvir Bros and Sonu Marketing (Brahma Finance), two Kolkata NBFCs that RBI lists. Both lenders name TrustPaisa on their own sites. The concern isn't fakery. It's the terms, because reviewers describe much shorter loans than the listing shows.
Is TrustPaisa RBI registered?
TrustPaisa's operator says plainly that it isn't RBI-registered and holds no lending licence. Its lenders are registered. Thanvir Bros is Sl. No. 7663 and Sonu Marketing is Sl. No. 7136 in RBI's NBFC register for 30 September 2026, both under the Kolkata office. RBI's app directory timed out for us, so check it yourself.
Why did TrustPaisa give me a 7 or 10-day loan?
Many reviewers report this for first loans. TrustPaisa's own reply to a 24 October 2026 review says first loans are usually shorter. That clashes with the 91 to 365 days on its Play listing. It also seems to break Google Play's ban on loans due within 60 days. If your KFS shows a very short term, you're free to decline the offer.
What does a TrustPaisa loan really cost?
On Play, interest and APR both top out at 36% a year. The fee can reach 15%, plus GST. Its example of ₹42,508 for a year costs ₹5,727 in interest, plus a ₹2,125 fee and ₹383 GST. The short loans reviewers describe cost far more. An account management fee is also named, without any price.
What is the TrustPaisa customer care number?
TrustPaisa's support line is 022-69875175, and its email is help@trustpaisa.com. Lines are open on weekdays, between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM IST. For complaints, write to grievance officer Harish S at grievance@trustpaisa.com, or call 022-69875199. Both lenders also publish their own grievance contacts.
What can I do about TrustPaisa recovery calls or threats?
Ask the caller which agency they're from, and check it against TrustPaisa's five listed collection partners. Save every call and message. Then write to grievance@trustpaisa.com and to your lender's officer. Threats to tell your family deserve a 1930 report and a police complaint. Still unsolved after 30 days? Take it to RBI.
How do I close a TrustPaisa loan and stop auto-debit?
Pay the balance shown in the app. There's no prepayment penalty, though nothing is refunded on early closure. Then ask support in writing to cancel the eNACH mandate and send your NOC. Reviewers say debits continued after closing. So watch your bank account for a few weeks, and report any double debit at once.
Is TrustPaisa linked to the TrustPaisa messaging site?
No. A messaging business uses the TrustPaisa name on a .in address, and it doesn't lend money. The lending app is the one on Google Play under package trustpaisa.app, from Flexidigital Tech India. Its website uses a .com address. Make sure any link you tap leads to one of those.
