HSBC home loan interest rates: what borrowers actually paid
Rates HSBC actually charged (Q2 2026)
| Product | Minimum | Maximum | Mean |

HSBC publishes the interest rate range on its mortgage products for the quarter, rather than an advertised card rate.
What HSBC’s disclosed interest rates tell you
HSBC doesn’t publish a card rate for home loans. It publishes what its customers actually paid: for its Regular Home loan in the second quarter of 2026, rates ran from 7.00% to 8.10%, with a mean of 7.29%. That mean sits just 0.29% above the minimum, the smallest gap between minimum and mean of any lender we track that discloses its actual rates. HSBC’s pricing, in other words, clusters near its floor. It also makes 7.29% a realistic number to plan around rather than an optimistic one.
Set against other lenders’ advertised starting rates, HSBC’s lowest disclosed rate would place it joint 1st of 48; the comparison isn’t like for like, because HSBC’s figure is a rate it actually charged. Measured against the RBI repo rate of 5.25%, HSBC’s floor carries a spread of 1.75 points. On ₹40 lakh over 20 years, the gap between HSBC’s lowest and mean rates is ₹700 a month.

Planning around HSBC’s 7.29% average
- Use HSBC’s 7.29% mean as the yardstick for its quote — an offer well above it on a strong, documented profile is worth questioning.
- Ask for a written quote and see where it sits relative to the disclosed mean. A quote well above the mean on a clean, documented profile is a good reason to try elsewhere.
- Get at least two written quotes before you commit. Lenders move more readily against a real competing offer than against a rate you’ve read online.

| Moving from an older benchmark to RLLR | Up to ₹2,500 plus taxes |
