1000 Loan Without Income Proof, Salary Slips - Eligibility & How to Apply
A ₹1,000 loan without income proof is, in practice, a tiny digital loan from an NBFC or bank, usually via a phone app. "Without income proof" mostly means no salary slip or ITR upload; lenders still verify your PAN, Aadhaar and bank account, and all five apps here state a minimum income. In 2026 the catch is cost: a fee plus 18% GST comes off upfront, so in our example ₹941 reaches you. Below: costs, eligibility, five apps and the risks.

What can ₹1,000 cover, and when is it worth borrowing?
Think of ₹1,000 as a gap-filler: a mobile or DTH recharge before it lapses, an auto or bus fare home, a pharmacy bill, an exam or form fee due today, or a few days of groceries before payday.
Borrow only when the need can't wait and you know which salary clears it, never for food delivery, game top-ups or repaying another app. First ask family or your employer for an advance, or use a bank overdraft you already have; RBI lets overdraft accounts be linked to UPI.
How much do you really repay on a ₹1,000 loan?
You repay on ₹1,000 but receive less. Our table assumes a 5% processing fee of ₹50 plus ₹9 GST, deducted at disbursal, so ₹941 reaches your account.
On a loan this small, fixed charges weigh heavily. Over 2 months at 24% a year, interest is just ₹30 but the total cost is ₹89. At 48% over 6 months it climbs to ₹204: you repay ₹1,145 for ₹941 in hand. The APR in your Key Fact Statement (KFS) includes every charge, so judge the loan by that.
| Rate (p.a.) | Tenure | Monthly EMI | ≈ Per week | Total repaid | Interest | Total cost incl. fee + GST |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 24% | 2 months | ₹515 | ₹119 | ₹1,030 | ₹30 | ₹89 |
| 24% | 3 months | ₹347 | ₹80 | ₹1,040 | ₹40 | ₹99 |
| 24% | 6 months | ₹179 | ₹41 | ₹1,071 | ₹71 | ₹130 |
| 48% | 2 months | ₹530 | ₹122 | ₹1,060 | ₹60 | ₹119 |
| 48% | 3 months | ₹360 | ₹83 | ₹1,081 | ₹81 | ₹140 |
| 48% | 6 months | ₹191 | ₹44 | ₹1,145 | ₹145 | ₹204 |
What are the EMIs on ₹1,000 over 2, 3 or 6 months?
At 24% a year, 2 months means two EMIs of ₹515 (₹1,030 in all), 3 months means ₹347 a month (₹1,040) and 6 months ₹179 (₹1,071). At 48%, the 3-month EMI is ₹360 and the total ₹1,081. A smaller EMI isn't a cheaper loan; pick the shortest plan your next salary can carry.
Pay late and penal charges can apply. RBI says they must be disclosed in your KFS and can't themselves attract interest.
Who is eligible, and what do lenders check instead of income proof?
Lenders still assess you, payslip or not. Under RBI's rules a lender must capture your age, occupation and income before lending. Expect a minimum age of 18 or 21, a PAN, Aadhaar eKYC by OTP and a bank account in your name; some apps add a selfie or video KYC, or ask for bank statements.
Our data lists stated minimum incomes of ₹8,000 a month for FlexSalary, ₹9,000 for mPokket and ₹15,000 for OLYV, Pocketly and Stashfin. mPokket says you don't need a credit history, yet its ₹1,000 page still lists income proof among the documents.
How do the five lenders for ₹1,000 compare?
All five lend from ₹1,000 in our data. Shortest tenures: 61 days at Pocketly, 2 months at OLYV, 3 months at FlexSalary and Stashfin, and 6 months at mPokket. Fees: a flat 3.75% at mPokket, 0–5% at FlexSalary, 0–9.4% at Pocketly and 2–15% at OLYV, while Stashfin charges a 2.85% platform fee plus a 3% transaction fee, both with 18% GST. APRs on record: 10–45% at Stashfin, 20–70% at FlexSalary, 18–90% at OLYV and up to 99.73% at Pocketly.
Only Stashfin is marked as needing CIBIL; its site asks for a score of 730 or more, with exceptions. Elsewhere, "not required" means no minimum score is stated: FlexSalary says a less-than-perfect CIBIL score isn't a deal-breaker, and mPokket says you can borrow with no credit score at all.
FlexSalary and Pocketly name their RBI-registered NBFC lenders, Vivifi India Finance and Speel Finance Company, while Stashfin's lenders include the NBFC Akara Capital Advisors. OLYV and mPokket show only "NBFC partners" in our data, so confirm the regulated lender on the KFS.

How do you apply for a ₹1,000 loan without income proof?
It all happens on your phone, often in one sitting. Slow down at the KFS.
- 1
Install the app only from the official store and check it's on RBI's list of digital lending apps, which RBI publishes without verifying it.
- 2
Register with your mobile number and complete eKYC with your PAN, an Aadhaar OTP and, often, a selfie.
- 3
Add occupation and income details, share bank statements if asked, and give a bank account in your name.
- 4
Choose ₹1,000 and the shortest tenure your next payday can cover.
- 5
Check the KFS for the APR, the amount you'll receive and penal charges; it stays valid for at least three working days on loans of seven days or more.
- 6
Accept, set up the repayment e-mandate and confirm the money reached your own account; RBI bars disbursal to third parties.
What are the risks, and how do RBI's rules protect you?
Fake apps come first: in 2020 RBI flagged unauthorised lending apps for steep rates, hidden charges, strong-arm recovery and misuse of borrowers' phone data. A regulated lender's app isn't allowed to read your contacts, call logs, files or media. Stashfin says its official calls start with 1600, and Pocketly's site points scam victims to the 1930 helpline and cybercrime.gov.in.
Then cost: fees push the APR on ₹1,000 far above the headline rate, and Pocketly's maximum in our data is 99.73%. Taking a second app loan to clear the first is how a small gap becomes a debt trap, and every digital loan is reported to credit bureaus, so a missed EMI follows you.
RBI's rules also give you a KFS with the APR before signing, a cooling-off period of at least one day, disbursal only to your account, a named grievance officer and advance notice of any recovery agent. If a complaint is rejected or unanswered for 30 days, use RBI's Complaint Management System; report illegal apps on Sachet.
