5 Lakh Loan Without Income Proof, Salary Slips - Eligibility & How to Apply
Few lenders will advance ₹5 lakh unsecured without some evidence of income. In 2026 the realistic routes are a pre-approved offer from a bank that already knows you, an app that reads bank statements instead of payslips, or a loan secured on gold, deposits or investments. PAN, Aadhaar, CIBIL and income checks apply either way. After a 2% fee plus GST, ₹4,88,200 reaches you. Here's who qualifies, what it costs and how to spot fakes.

Why is ₹5 lakh without income proof so rare, and when does it make sense?
₹5 lakh is the ceiling at three of the four apps here, OLYV, Freo and RING Power Loan, and KreditBee says its maximum depends on your employment and finances. RBI requires lenders to assess creditworthiness, including income, before any digital loan. The EMI explains the caution: our cheapest row, 14% over 36 months, costs ₹17,089 a month, more than the minimum income KreditBee, OLYV or Axis Bank states.
It makes sense for a one-off, priced need you can clear within three years, such as a hospital bill, urgent home repairs or replacing dearer debt. It doesn't for an untested business, for repaying other app loans, or when the offer arrived as an advert promising no documents.
What does ₹5 lakh cost once fees and interest are added?
The table assumes a 2% processing fee of ₹10,000 plus ₹1,800 GST, taken before disbursal, so you start with ₹4,88,200 but pay interest on ₹5 lakh.
At 14% the total cost is ₹50,523 over 12 months and ₹1,26,997 over 36. At 24% it is ₹79,158 over a year and ₹2,17,991 over three, when you'd repay ₹7,06,191 in all. Fees here can far exceed 2%: Freo's run to 7% plus tax on each withdrawal and OLYV's to 15%, so line up the APRs in each KFS.
| Rate (p.a.) | Tenure | Monthly EMI | ≈ Per week | Total repaid | Interest | Total cost incl. fee + GST |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14% | 12 months | ₹44,894 | ₹10,360 | ₹5,38,723 | ₹38,723 | ₹50,523 |
| 14% | 24 months | ₹24,006 | ₹5,540 | ₹5,76,155 | ₹76,155 | ₹87,955 |
| 14% | 36 months | ₹17,089 | ₹3,944 | ₹6,15,197 | ₹1,15,197 | ₹1,26,997 |
| 24% | 12 months | ₹47,280 | ₹10,911 | ₹5,67,358 | ₹67,358 | ₹79,158 |
| 24% | 24 months | ₹26,436 | ₹6,101 | ₹6,34,453 | ₹1,34,453 | ₹1,46,253 |
| 24% | 36 months | ₹19,616 | ₹4,527 | ₹7,06,191 | ₹2,06,191 | ₹2,17,991 |
What is the EMI on ₹5 lakh over 12, 24 or 36 months?
At 14% the EMI is ₹44,894 over 12 months, ₹24,006 over 24 and ₹17,089 over 36; at 24% it is ₹47,280, ₹26,436 and ₹19,616. Even the smallest EMI in the table works out to ₹3,944 a week.
Stretching costs money: at 24%, going from 24 to 36 months trims the EMI by ₹6,820 but adds ₹71,738 to the total cost. OLYV lends for at most 24 months, Axis Bank for at least 12. Late EMIs draw KFS penal charges; RBI says these must be reasonable and can't carry interest.
Who realistically gets ₹5 lakh without salary slips?
Mostly borrowers a lender already knows, with a strong credit record. Axis Bank's instant route, 24x7 Personal Loans, runs through its internet and mobile banking, so it serves existing customers, with instant disbursal for those holding a pre-qualified offer; the bank says pre-qualified loans need minimal to zero documentation. Otherwise its personal loan is for salaried staff and wants three months' statements, three salary slips and Form 16; our table's ₹15,000 income floor is for Axis customers, ₹25,000 for others.
Apps swap payslips for bank data. RING may ask for income proof on high-value loans, fetching six months' statements through an account aggregator, which needs your explicit consent, or a PDF upload. KreditBee lets the self-employed skip an ITR with six months' statements. A co-applicant can help, but Axis notes both incomes and debts are weighed and both owe the loan.
How do the five lenders compare at ₹5 lakh?
Read the table as a list of ceilings. OLYV, Freo and RING stop at ₹5 lakh, KreditBee at ₹10 lakh and Axis Bank at ₹50 lakh. Axis, the only bank, has the lowest stated rates (9.99–22%) and a 1.5–2% fee plus GST.
The four apps arrange loans from NBFCs: KreditBee through its own KrazyBee Services plus partners such as Northern Arc and Piramal, RING through SiCreva Capital Services and financing partners, and Freo and OLYV through several partner lenders each, so the KFS names yours. Freo is a credit line, charging interest only on what you draw plus an annual line fee of up to ₹999 and GST.
Stated rate ranges: 12–27.5% at KreditBee, 32–57% at RING and 18–90% at OLYV; Freo's own pages disagree, quoting anything from 13% a year to 5% a month. Only Axis and RING are marked as requiring CIBIL.

How should you apply for ₹5 lakh without payslips?
Start where you already bank, and let the KFS, not an advert, decide.
- 1
Look in your bank's net or mobile banking for a pre-approved or pre-qualified loan offer.
- 2
With no offer, gather payslip substitutes: recent bank statements, ITRs if self-employed, Form 16 if salaried.
- 3
Price a gold, FD or mutual-fund loan alongside any unsecured offer.
- 4
Apply only through the lender's own app or website, never via a link or 'agent' who contacted you.
- 5
Compare each KFS for APR, net disbursal, foreclosure terms and the lending entity; accept within its validity period and the lender is bound by it.
- 6
Check that the money arrives in your own account from that lender, and pay no one in advance.
How do you spot a fake '₹5 lakh, no documents' offer, and what protects you?
Treat a promise of ₹5 lakh with no paperwork and no verification as a red flag. A common script is a call, SMS or WhatsApp message asking for your KYC documents and an upfront processing fee for 'approval'; RING's own FAQ describes exactly that pattern. RBI has warned against unauthorised apps promising quick loans and urged consumers not to hand KYC copies to unknown people or unverified apps. Regulated lenders must list charges in the KFS, and OLYV, for one, deducts its fee from the disbursal.
Genuine loans carry risk too: missed EMIs are reported to credit bureaus, and clearing one app loan with another compounds the damage. RBI's digital lending rules give you a cooling-off exit, though KreditBee may keep part of the processing fee if you use it. Report fraud on RBI's Sachet portal and to the police.
