ATD Money Loan App Real or Fake? A Real NBFC With a Daily Rate

ATD Money is real, and the company that runs the app also lends the money. That company is ATD Financial Services Private Limited, an NBFC in Noida that is listed in RBI's register. Its own website names ATD Money as its lending app.

Whether it's safe is a different question. The lender is regulated, but loans are priced by the day and two fees come off before you're paid. Before you e-sign, check the daily rate in your agreement and ask what closing the loan early would cost.

ATD Money: the quick answer

  • Is it a real company? Yes. ATD Financial Services says it was set up in 1996, and Google Play names it as both owner and lender.
  • Is the lender registered? Yes. It is serial 763 in RBI's list of NBFCs as on 30 September 2026, under the Kanpur office.
  • Is it cheap? No. Interest runs from 0.10% to 0.50% a day. Two fees, each between 3.5% and 7.5% plus GST, are cut from the loan.
  • How does repayment work? Loans run from ₹3,000 to ₹50,000, over 91 to 365 days. You pay it all back on one date, with no EMIs.
  • Anything odd? Yes. Its pages give two different top APRs and clash on early repayment. Its Data safety form says it collects no data at all.

Who runs ATD Money and who lends the money

Many loan apps are a shop front for an NBFC you've never heard of. ATD Money isn't. Its About page and its Google Play listing name the same firm, ATD Financial Services, as owner and lender.

So there's no middle company. The firm that checks your papers, approves the loan and collects the money is the NBFC itself.

The lender's side backs this up. On its own website, which uses the name ATD Finance, it calls ATD Money "a digital lending app owned by ATD Finance". The menu also lists My Loan Bazar, Peak Paisa, Payme India and Credit King, though the Payme India page now says "Association is Closed". Don't mix up My Loan Bazar with My Money Bazaar, a different app.

One small mismatch is the address. RBI's list, the contact page and Google Play all give C-316, Sector 10, Noida. The terms page still names a Chander Vihar address in Delhi. If you write to them, use the Noida one.

Is ATD Money RBI registered? How we checked

RBI registers lenders, not apps. Here is how we matched ATD Money to its lender in November 2026, in steps you can repeat on your phone.

  1. Find the lender's name in the app. The About page and the Play listing both name ATD Financial Services Pvt Ltd. They give the licence number B-12-00315.
  2. Search RBI's list of NBFCs. Open the list on RBI's website and search for "Atd Financial". It sits at serial 763 in the list as on 30 September 2026.
  3. Match the details. The row shows the Kanpur regional office, no public deposits and the class "ICC". Its Noida address matches the one on ATD Money's contact page and Play listing.
  4. Know what the list leaves out. It doesn't print licence numbers, so B-12-00315 can't be matched. The matching name and address still tie the two together.
  5. Check that the lender names the app. ATD Finance's website lists ATD Money first among its digital lending apps, so both sides confirm the tie.
  6. Try RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory. Neither it nor RBI's list of cancelled NBFCs loaded for us on 4 November 2026, so try both yourself.
  7. Read the Key Fact Statement. Your sanction letter should name ATD Financial Services as the lender. If it names anyone else, stop. Report it on Sachet, RBI's site for complaints about unregistered lenders.

ATD Money's own example shows the price best. Take a ₹5,000 loan for 91 days, charged at 0.20% a day. Interest comes to ₹910. The two fees of 3.5% each come to ₹350, and GST adds ₹63.

That ₹413 is taken out first, so ₹4,587 reaches your bank. On day 91 you repay ₹5,910 in one go. In plain terms, you pay ₹1,323 to use ₹4,587 for about three months.

A rate of 0.20% a day sounds small, but it adds up to 73% a year before fees. At the top rate of 0.50% a day, interest alone runs at 182.5% a year. On ₹50,000 kept for 365 days at that rate, the interest would be ₹91,250, more than the loan itself.

The low end is gentler: the home page calculator shows ₹273 of interest on ₹3,000 for 91 days at 0.1% a day. Your rate depends on your credit record, so you won't know it until you get an offer.

The two top APRs can't both be right, since 182.5% a year is already above 88.36%. Go by the APR in your own Key Fact Statement.

Why some people think ATD Money is fake

A high price doesn't make a lender fake, and ATD Money's lender is real. Still, a few things on its pages deserve a second look.

  • Data taken, then a "no". Many one-star reviews say the app wants an HR phone number, an office email and five or more references, then turns the loan down. Checking your job is normal, but this much for a ₹3,000 loan is not.
  • Data claims that don't match. The Play Data safety form says the app collects no data. The privacy policy says it reads your bank transaction SMS, your location and the contacts you add as references.
  • Tracking after you uninstall. Under the lender's app terms, it may track where you are even once the app is deleted, for as long as you owe money.
  • No free-look option. The FAQ says there's no free-look period. RBI's Digital Lending Directions, 2025 say a borrower must be able to exit within a cooling-off window, which can't be shorter than one day.
  • Early closure terms that clash. The website says early repayment saves interest. The FAQ says you still pay interest for the full period you chose.
  • Numbers that don't add up. The home page claims 1Mn+ downloads and 7Mn+ loans. Google Play shows 1L+ downloads, and the listing says over 30,000 loans so far.
  • A broken web link. The Play listing points to the site with "www" in front. On 4 November 2026 that address gave a security certificate error, though the plain address loaded fine.

None of this shows fraud. It shows a registered lender with sloppy and sometimes risky paperwork. Trust your signed agreement, not the marketing pages.

What borrowers say about ATD Money

On Google Play, ATD Money has 3.7 stars from 410 ratings, as of November 2026. The split is sharp: 263 five-star and 121 one-star, with only 16 four-star, 8 two-star and none at three. It has 1L+ downloads and was last updated on 13 October 2026.

Happy reviewers are often repeat borrowers. They mention quick payouts and thank staff by name, such as Kishan, Shreya, Vikash or Jitendra. One reviewer in August 2026 said they had used the app for 4 years. Another, in June 2026, waited about a week for a credit manager.

The one-star reviews tell a different story. A July 2026 post that 22 people found helpful says the app took their data and then stopped replying. Others describe long lists of references, slow sanctions and a "no" after hours of form filling. One said a repaid loan still showed as open on their credit report.

Complaints about recovery calls are rare in what we read: one May 2025 review describes rude calls after a late payment. Some of the praise looks prompted. Four short five-star reviews went up on 25 September 2026, and dozens of five-star posts name a staff member.

How to spot a fake ATD Money app, agent or call

Scammers copy well-known lenders, so check before you share anything.

  • Install only from Google Play. The real listing is called ATD Money - Personal Loan App, and ATD Financial Services is the developer. Never install an APK file sent over WhatsApp or SMS.
  • Never pay to get a loan. ATD Money takes its fees out of the loan before payout. Anyone asking you to pay a "processing fee" first is not following its process.
  • Pay only through official channels. Repay through the app, never to a personal UPI ID or a stranger's bank account.
  • Don't share biometrics. The privacy policy says ATD Money never takes biometric data. If someone asks for your fingerprint, tell the grievance officer.
  • Check recovery callers. The lender names one outside collection agency, Impetus Collection Services in Pune. Ask any caller for their name, agency and your loan number. Then confirm the loan in the app.
  • Use only listed numbers. Match any phone number against the official list on our ATD Money customer care page.

What to do if something goes wrong

Start with the company, and keep a written record of every step. Put your loan number or CRN ID in each message.

  1. Customer care. Call 01204348458 or +91 9999589229, or email info@atdmoney.com. The contact page promises a reply within 24 hours.
  2. Grievance officer. Write to Kisan Sahoo at grievance@atdmoney.com or call 9999589201. The terms page names a second officer, Deepak Kumar Jha, who is also listed on the lender's own site.
  3. The lender itself. ATD Finance's helpline is 0120-4250254, open from 10:00 am to 06:30 pm, Monday to Saturday. It says you'll hear back within 7 business days.
  4. RBI. If there's no fix within 30 days, complain to the RBI Integrated Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in or call 14448.
  5. Fraud or threats. For threats or money lost to fraud, call the cybercrime helpline on 1930 and file a police complaint.

Should you use ATD Money?

ATD Money can make sense for a salaried person who needs a small sum fast and can repay it all on one date. It suits someone earning at least ₹25,000 a month who has read the agreement and accepts the daily rate.

Look elsewhere if you'd like monthly EMIs, or if you might repay early and want to save interest. The same goes if you'd rather not hand over HR contacts and a list of references before you see an offer. For small salaried loans from regulated lenders, compare mPokket, FlexSalary and KreditBee on total cost.

Frequently asked questions

Is ATD Money real or fake?

ATD Money is a real app run by a real lender. It belongs to ATD Financial Services Private Limited, an NBFC in Noida listed in RBI's register as on 30 September 2026. ATD Finance's website lists the app as its own. It is costly, though, and some of its terms clash, so read your agreement closely.

Is ATD Money RBI registered?

The app itself isn't registered, because RBI registers lenders, not apps. Its lender, ATD Financial Services Private Limited, is serial 763 in RBI's list of NBFCs as on 30 September 2026, under the Kanpur office. RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory wouldn't load for us, so we couldn't see the app's entry there. Check that your sanction letter names this NBFC.

What does an ATD Money loan really cost?

The daily interest rate runs from 0.10% to 0.50%. Two fees are added, for processing and for paperwork, each 3.5% to 7.5% with 18% GST on top. In ATD Money's own example, a ₹5,000 loan for 91 days pays out ₹4,587, and you repay ₹5,910 in one go. The top daily rate works out to 182.5% a year.

What is the ATD Money customer care number?

ATD Money lists 01204348458 and +91 9999589229, with the email info@atdmoney.com. Its grievance officer, Kisan Sahoo, is on 9999589201 and grievance@atdmoney.com. The lender, ATD Finance, also runs a helpline on 0120-4250254 from Monday to Saturday. Don't trust numbers from ads or social media. Check them on our care page first.

What should I do about harassment or fake ATD Money calls?

Ask the caller for their name, agency and your loan number, then check the loan in the app. The lender names one outside collection agency, Impetus Collection Services in Pune. Report any abuse to the grievance officer in writing. For threats or fraud, call the cybercrime helpline on 1930. If 30 days pass without a fix, go to the RBI Ombudsman.

How do I close or cancel an ATD Money loan?

To close a loan, repay the full amount through the app and keep the receipt. Ask in writing whether paying early cuts your interest, because the FAQ says you pay interest for the full period you chose. The FAQ also says there's no free-look option. Once it's closed, check that your credit report shows the loan as closed.

Why does ATD Money ask for HR details and references?

ATD Money lends only to salaried people, so it checks your job first. Reviewers say it asks for an HR phone number, an office email and five or more references. Some say they were turned down after all that. Share only what you're comfortable with. The privacy policy says it reads the contacts you pick as references.
