CredMe Loan App Real or Fake? The Lender, the APR and the Red Flags

CredMe is a real loan app, run by Delviant AI Labs Private Limited. The money comes from Exude Vincom Private Limited, a Kolkata NBFC on RBI's register that names CredMe as its own app. Is it safe? That part is shakier, because CredMe's website is full of clashing numbers and text lifted from other brands.

Before you accept an offer, find three things in the Key Fact Statement. Look for Exude Vincom as the lender, a term of at least 61 days, and the APR. Also note that CredMe has nothing to do with CRED, the credit card app, or with CrediMe. Our findings below are as of October 2026.

The short answer

  • Real or fake: real. Delviant AI Labs Private Limited owns and runs CredMe as a loan service provider, or LSP.
  • Who lends: Exude Vincom Private Limited, serial 2265 in RBI's NBFC register dated as on 30 September 2026.
  • Proof from the lender: Exude Vincom's own LSP page lists Delviant AI Labs and CredMe by name.
  • Cost: unclear. Play and the rates page say 35% APR, while the home page says up to 486.67%.
  • Watch for: copied pages, three care numbers, an email domain that isn't CredMe's, and a wave of thin five-star reviews in October 2026.

The two companies behind CredMe

CredMe uses an app-plus-lender setup. Delviant AI Labs builds and runs the app as the LSP: it finds borrowers and handles the screens, but it does not lend. Exude Vincom, the NBFC, puts up the money and signs the loan with you.

CredMe's lending partners page names Exude Vincom with RBI licence number B-05.01764. The Play listing gives the same number. Exude Vincom's website says it is an NBFC-ICC and has held that certificate since 6 February 2020.

The most useful proof sits on the lender's side. Exude Vincom's own LSP page lists Delviant AI Labs as its LSP and CredMe as its app. A scam can borrow an NBFC's name, but it can't easily put itself on that NBFC's website.

Two details muddy this. CredMe's home page says "We are registered under the name Exude Vincom Private Limited", which blurs the app and the lender. Its page metadata also still names a different NBFC, Avinash Capital, as partner. Still, the pages you can actually read on both sides point to Exude Vincom today. The two firms even share an office, at Plot No. 212, Okhla Phase-3, Delhi.

Checking CredMe's RBI status yourself

You don't need to take our word, or CredMe's. This is the order we did it in on 30 October 2026:

  1. Read the app's own disclosure. CredMe's digital lending partners page names Exude Vincom Private Limited as the lender. So does the Play listing.
  2. Search the NBFC register. RBI's register shows Exude Vincom at serial 2265 under the Kolkata office. It is an investment and credit company that takes no public deposits.
  3. Compare the CIN. The register gives U65100WB1995PTC070261. The same number appears on Exude Vincom's site.
  4. Visit the lender's LSP page. Exude Vincom lists Delviant AI Labs and CredMe there. Of all the checks, this one carries the most weight.
  5. Try RBI's DLA list. This is RBI's directory of apps run by regulated lenders. It timed out on us, so search it for CredMe before you apply.
  6. Read the Key Fact Statement. It must name Exude Vincom and show the APR. If it names some other lender, stop and ask why.

RBI's list of cancelled registrations wouldn't open either. So our view rests on Exude Vincom being on the current list. We found no news story, police case or RBI warning naming CredMe, Delviant or Exude Vincom.

CredMe interest rate, fees and APR

CredMe's price depends on which page you open. Here is what each one says.

What

Google Play and the rates page

CredMe home page

Loan amount

₹5,000 to ₹1,50,000 (rates page: up to ₹1,20,000)

₹5,000 to ₹1,50,000

Repayment term

61 to 365 days

Calculator from 15 days; table says 1 to 3 years

APR

Up to 35% a year (rates page: fixed 35%)

Up to 486.67%

Processing fee

Up to 2%, plus GST

Up to 10%, plus 18% GST

The worked example is the clearest part. Borrow ₹50,000 for 365 days at 35%. A ₹1,000 fee and ₹180 GST are taken off first, so ₹48,820 reaches you. You then repay ₹59,978 through 12 monthly EMIs of ₹4,998, and ₹9,978 of that is interest. Play and the rates page put prepayment charges at nil, while late fees are left to the lending partner.

Notice that the "35% APR" is the same as the interest rate, even though a fee is charged. A true APR counts fees too. So the real figure on that example sits a little above 35%.

CredMe also says it never offers loans that must be repaid in 60 days or less, in line with Google Play's rules. Some borrowers say otherwise. A reviewer on 3 October 2026 described a 45-day loan where about ₹17,000 of ₹19,500 arrived. Another, on 22 September 2026, said repayment was due after 44 days.

If your offer shows less than 61 days, decline it. That one check protects you from the worst of what reviewers describe.

Red flags that make CredMe look fake

Most of CredMe's trust problem is self-made. Parts of the website read as if they were pasted from other lenders' sites:

  • Another brand's name. The rates page says loans come from NBFCs "partnering with BrightLoans". BrightLoans is a different brand.
  • Another app's email. The repayment page tells you to write to care@kreditbuddha.com with questions.
  • A domain it doesn't run. On the how-it-works page, borrowers are told to send their PAN, salary slips and bank statements to info@credme.com. But credme.com sends visitors to a domain marketplace page.
  • Big claims. The rates page claims over 1 Million downloads and ₹5,100 crore lent. Play shows 50K+ downloads.
  • Data answers that don't fit. On Play, the data safety section claims nothing is collected. The same section lists location, credit score, files and photos as shared. The privacy policy adds SMS and the list of apps on your phone.
  • Location tracking. CredMe's terms allow tracking until dues are repaid. Exude Vincom's terms go further and keep that right after you uninstall.

Some things are normal. An LSP working with an NBFC, a fee taken from the payout, KYC checks and bank statements are standard for digital loans. None of that is a warning sign by itself.

Put together, the red flags point to a careless website, not a made-up lender. But careless paperwork is still a risk when you are the one signing.

CredMe reviews: what the Play Store shows

On 30 October 2026, CredMe had 4.6 stars from 364 ratings and 50K+ downloads. It was last updated on 5 September 2026.

We don't trust that 4.6. We pulled the 340 newest reviews, from 16 August to 28 October 2026. In August and September, 28 of 38 gave one star. Then October brought 302 reviews, 273 of them five-star.

Most of those five-star posts were about nine words of praise for the "interface", and only 7 of them mentioned a loan. There were bursts of 33 on 2 October and 25 on 28 October. One five-star post praised Dhan, a different app, and one complaint says staff asked for a five-star rating.

The real complaints repeat a few themes:

  • Loans that never arrived. On 21 September 2026 a borrower said ₹45,000 was approved and e-signed. After 26+ hours, the app asked them to re-apply.
  • Interest on missing money. One reviewer says interest started on a loan they never received.
  • Rough recovery calls. Reviewers mention foul language, and one says the calls kept coming after repayment.
  • Weak support. People describe an AI voice line instead of a person, and upload errors.

Not all of it is bad. On 15 October 2026 one user said approval took 2 minutes and the money came in 10. Another called it fast but warned of high interest, and said to use it only in an emergency. The developer answered several complaints on 13 October 2026 with the same apology, word for word.

How to tell a fake CredMe app or caller

  • Check the developer. The genuine app is com.delviant.credme, listed by DELVIANT AI LABS PRIVATE LIMITED. An APK sent over chat is not CredMe.
  • Mind the name. CredMe is not CRED and not CrediMe. Ads or calls that mix up the names deserve extra care.
  • Keep documents in the app. Never email them, least of all to a credme.com address.
  • Never pay to get a loan. CredMe deducts its fee before the money lands. A caller who wants cash from you first, by UPI or bank transfer, is a scammer.
  • Repay from the app's payment screen. A personal UPI ID, or a bank account in a person's name, is a red flag.
  • Quiz the caller. A real collection call can quote your loan number, the amount due and the lender, Exude Vincom.

Where to complain about a CredMe loan

Work through these in order, and keep copies of every email:

  1. CredMe care. The contact page gives +91 7042231835 and customercare@credme.in. Play shows +91-7428167400, and the partners page +91-8588020081.
  2. Grievance officer. Isha Agarwal, grievance@credme.in, +91-8588020081. Exude Vincom names her as its grievance and nodal officer too, at isha.agarwal@exudevincom.com.
  3. The lender. Exude Vincom customer care is on +91-9599034483 and care@exudevincom.com. Its grievance page aims to settle complaints within 30 days.
  4. RBI. If 30 days pass with no fix, complain online at cms.rbi.org.in or dial 14448. Name Exude Vincom Private Limited as the regulated entity.
  5. Cyber fraud. For threats or money taken by a fake app, report it on 1930 and at your local police station.

What if the app says your loan was paid out but your bank shows nothing? Don't pay towards it. Take screenshots of the app and your bank statement, and send both to Isha Agarwal and Exude Vincom straight away. Every CredMe number is also on our CredMe customer care page.

Is CredMe a good choice for you?

CredMe may work for a salaried borrower aged 21 to 56, or a self-employed one, who gets a clean offer. Clean means a Key Fact Statement naming Exude Vincom, at least 61 days, and fees and APR close to the Play example. Repay on time and keep every receipt.

Look elsewhere if you can't afford surprises, need dependable human support, or were offered under 61 days. Regulated names worth comparing at this loan size include Navi, Prefr and KreditBee. Frequently asked questions

Is CredMe real or fake?

CredMe is real. Delviant AI Labs Private Limited runs the app. Exude Vincom Private Limited, an RBI-registered NBFC, lends the money and lists CredMe on its own website. The worry is not that CredMe is fake. It is that its pages give clashing prices and contain text copied from other brands.

Is CredMe RBI approved, and who is the lender?

CredMe itself is not an NBFC; it is a loan service provider. The lender is Exude Vincom Private Limited, listed at serial 2265, Kolkata office, in the register RBI dated 30 September 2026. Its own site gives certificate number B-05.01764. RBI's app directory timed out for us, so check CredMe's listing there.

What is the real interest rate on a CredMe loan?

Google Play and the rates page say APR up to 35% a year, with a fee of up to 2% plus GST. The home page instead shows an APR as high as 486.67%, with a fee of as much as 10%. In the Play example, a ₹50,000 loan for a year leaves ₹48,820 in hand and costs ₹9,978 in interest. Trust only your Key Fact Statement.

What is the CredMe customer care number?

CredMe's contact page gives +91 7042231835 and customercare@credme.in. The Play listing shows +91-7428167400, and the lending partners page +91-8588020081, which is also the grievance officer's line. For complaints, write to Isha Agarwal at grievance@credme.in. The lender, Exude Vincom, runs its own care line on +91-9599034483.

What can I do about abusive CredMe recovery calls?

Record the calls, save the numbers and write to grievance@credme.in, copying Exude Vincom at care@exudevincom.com. Ask for the name of the agency calling you. If the abuse goes on, or anyone threatens you or your contacts, report it on 1930 and to the police. After 30 days, take it to RBI at cms.rbi.org.in.

Can I repay a CredMe loan early?

Yes. The Play listing and the rates page both put prepayment charges at nil. Pay only through the app, keep the receipt, and ask Exude Vincom for a no-dues letter once the loan is closed. If the app still shows dues after you've paid, send your proof to the grievance officer straight away.

Is CredMe the same as CRED?

No. CRED is Dreamplug's credit card and UPI app, which lends as Cash by CRED. CredMe is run by Delviant AI Labs, with loans from Exude Vincom, and CrediMe is a third, unrelated company. Check the developer name on Google Play: the real CredMe app is listed by DELVIANT AI LABS PRIVATE LIMITED.

Should I email my documents to CredMe?

No. One CredMe page asks borrowers to email KYC papers, salary slips and bank statements to info@credme.com. But credme.com redirects to a domain marketplace, so CredMe may not control that inbox. Upload documents only inside the official app, and never send them to an address someone gives you on a call.
