Godrej Priority Money Loan App Real or Fake? The Web-Only Loan Checked
By Abhishek Kumar · Content Writer Edited by BankCreds Content & SEO Team Updated 4 November 2026 Reviewed by BankCreds Financial Experts Godrej Priority Money is real. It's a personal loan from Godrej Finance Limited, an NBFC registered with RBI, and Godrej Finance lends the money itself. There is no Priority Money app, though. Godrej sells this loan only through its own website, so the "loan app" many people search for doesn't exist.
Is it safe? The lender passes the most important test, because it's regulated and named on the loan page and the sign-up screen. The terms need a slow read, as Godrej's own pages quote different charges. Before you sign, check the fee, late penalty and foreclosure lines in the Key Fact Statement (KFS).
Quick answer
- Real or fake: real. Priority Money is the personal loan of Godrej Finance Limited, the lending arm of Godrej Capital.
- RBI status: Godrej Finance is a Middle layer NBFC on RBI's register, with data up to 30 September 2026.
- App: none. Godrej's lending list calls the loan a "self-owned web-based journey", so you apply on its website.
- Price: 10.99% to 18% a year, and a fee capped at 4% of the loan plus GST. One variant has no fee at all.
- Watch out for: charges that change from page to page. The KFS you receive is the figure that counts.
Who is behind Godrej Priority Money?
Godrej Capital is the brand you see in the ads. It says it was founded in 2020 and lends through two companies, Godrej Finance and Godrej Housing Finance. Priority Money belongs to the first one. The product page says it plainly: loans are "offered/financed by Godrej Finance".
The sign-up screen backs this up. Before you get an OTP, you agree to the terms and privacy policy of Godrej Finance Limited. So the company on the website, the company in the consent and the lender are all the same. No outside agent sits in the middle.
The loan comes in two shapes. A term loan pays out once and you repay in EMIs. A Flexi Fund gives you a limit to draw from, and you pay interest only on what you use. On top of that, you choose a variant, such as Zero Processing Fee, Zero Foreclosure or Low ROI.
Two other Godrej offers are easy to confuse with this one. Godrej Housing Finance is a separate housing finance company with its own RBI entry. There's also a staff loan for Godrej Industries Group employees, priced from 11.20% a year. Neither is the public Priority Money loan.
Is Godrej Priority Money RBI registered? How to check it yourself
You can repeat our checks in about ten minutes. Here's the route we took on 4 November 2026.
- Search RBI's register for the lender. Download RBI's NBFC register and look for "Godrej Finance". It sits at serial number 2658, under the Mumbai office. RBI still shows its old name too, Ensemble Holdings & Finance Limited.
- Note the layer and type. The entry shows a Middle layer NBFC that doesn't take public deposits. Godrej Housing Finance sits on the next line as a housing finance company.
- Read the lender's own app list. RBI wants lenders to publish the apps and agents they use. Godrej Finance's List of Digital Lending Partners shows "Godrej Personal Loan Priority Money" as a journey it owns, with no agent.
- Try RBI's apps directory. RBI also runs a directory of lending apps, listed by lender. It timed out when we tried, so the Godrej entry there is unconfirmed.
- Check your papers. Your sanction letter and KFS should name Godrej Finance Limited as the lender. If an offer names anyone else, stop.
Our guide to RBI checks for any loan app walks through this for other lenders too. If a "Godrej" offer comes from a firm that isn't on RBI's register, flag it on Sachet, RBI's portal for complaints about unregistered entities.
What a Godrej Priority Money loan costs
Godrej spreads its terms across a product page, an FAQ, a schedule of charges and a charges policy. They don't always agree. Here are the figures side by side, as of November 2026.
Term | What Godrej publishes | Where we read it |
|---|---|---|
Loan amount | ₹1 lakh to ₹60 lakh | Godrej Capital loan pages and FAQs |
Tenure | 12 to 84 months | FAQs |
Interest rate | 10.99% to 18% a year, fixed | FAQs and charges tables |
Processing fee | Up to 4% plus GST, nil on the Zero Processing Fee variant | FAQs, schedule of charges |
Processing fee, other page | Up to 2% | Godrej Finance charges table |
APR | Not published as a range; shown on the KFS | FAQs |
Late payment | 3% of the overdue EMI, or 2% on other pages | Schedule of charges, charges policy |
EMI bounce | ₹1,000 plus GST each time | Schedule of charges, FAQs |
Foreclosure | 0% to 4%, by variant | FAQs, schedule of charges |
Flexi Fund upkeep | 2% a year on the limit, plus ₹846 | Schedule of charges |
Let's put that in rupees. Take a ₹5,00,000 loan over 36 months. Use 18%, the top of the published range, and a 4% fee. The fee is ₹20,000, and GST adds ₹3,600. So ₹4,76,400 reaches your bank.
Your EMI would be about ₹18,076, and you'd repay ₹6,50,743 in all. At the 10.99% floor, the EMI drops to about ₹16,367. On the Zero Processing Fee variant, the full ₹5,00,000 would arrive. Your own offer will land somewhere in between.
Godrej also adds Club One reward points. A loan of ₹5 to ₹15 lakh earns ₹1,500 in points, and the top tier, above ₹20 lakh, earns ₹20,000. The points work only on term loans. They can't pay an EMI, and you may lose unused points if you close early.
Why some people think Godrej Priority Money is fake
Most of the doubt comes from a few real gaps. None of them shows fraud, but each is worth knowing.
There's no app to find. People search Google Play, see nothing from Godrej Capital, and assume something is wrong. A search for the name even throws up "Money is Priority", an investment tracker from AW Prime Wealth. It has nothing to do with Godrej.
The promises are bold. The product page says up to ₹60 lakh in 10 minutes. Another Godrej page says money arrives within 24 hours of approval. An older page still says the limit is ₹30 lakh.
The charges don't line up. Godrej's FAQs put the late penalty at 3% per month. One answer says that equals 36% a year. A second answer turns the same 3% into 24% a year. The fee is up to 4% on most pages but up to 2% on one. Foreclosure is 2% after 3 months in the FAQs, yet up to 4% in the schedule.
The sign-up consent is wide. By asking for an OTP, you let Godrej Finance, its agents and partners call, SMS and WhatsApp you. The text says this overrides DND.
Some things are normal, though. A hard credit check when you apply is standard. So is a video KYC with your physical PAN card. RBI did fine the sister company, Godrej Housing Finance, ₹5,00,000 in an order of 29 August 2024, over property valuations. Godrej Finance, the lender here, says RBI has never penalised it.
What borrowers say about Godrej Priority Money
There's very little to go on. Without a Google Play listing, Priority Money has no store rating and no dated reviews. That was still true when we looked in November 2026. We don't use forums or review blogs as evidence, so we can't tell you how real borrowers rate the service.
That has a practical effect. You can't lean on other people's experience here, so lean on paperwork instead. Save the KFS, the sanction letter and every email. If the fee or rate you're charged differs from the KFS, you'll have proof.
How to spot a fake Godrej Priority Money app, agent or call
Big names attract copycats, and Godrej knows it. Its fraud notice tells the public "not to rely or act on any fraudulent offers or loan sanctions" in its name. It asks you to check with the company first.
- An app or APK file: the only Priority Money journey Godrej names is on its website. Treat any app or APK that uses the name with suspicion.
- An upfront fee: a real Godrej fee shows on your loan summary and KFS before you accept. Never pay a "processing fee" to a personal UPI ID or bank account to release a loan.
- A cold call or WhatsApp from an "agent": check it first. Godrej asks people to call 022-68815555 or email customercare@godrejcapital.com to confirm any offer.
- The wrong WhatsApp number: Godrej's home page links its WhatsApp support to +91 98333 15555. A message from any other number isn't from that channel.
- A link you didn't ask for: start from the Godrej Capital or Godrej Finance website yourself, not from a forwarded link.
Already paid a fraudster? Ring 1930, the national cybercrime helpline, at once, then tell Godrej.
What to do if something goes wrong with your loan
Start with customer care on 022-68815555 or customercare@godrejcapital.com. Most Godrej pages say the line works every day from 9 am to 6 pm, but one says 10 am to 7 pm. Email leaves a record, so use it. Quote your loan account number each time.
- Level I: call or email customer care, as above.
- Level II: no fix in 7 working days? Write to Ashpreet Kaur, Grievance Redressal Officer, at grievance.redressal@godrejfinance.com or call +91 8045695305.
- Level III: still stuck after 15 working days? Contact Sonal Kumar, Principal Nodal Officer, at nodalofficer@godrejfinance.com or +91 8047168295.
- RBI: no reply within 30 days? Take it to RBI. File with the Integrated Ombudsman through its portal, cms.rbi.org.in, or phone 14448 for help.
Godrej branches also hold a grievance day on the third Saturday of each month. Our Godrej Priority Money customer care page lists every number and email above, and our directory of lender helplines covers other companies.
Should you use Godrej Priority Money?
It can make sense if you're salaried, earn at least ₹50,000 a month and have a CIBIL score of 700 or more. It also fits people who need a large sum, from ₹1 lakh up to ₹60 lakh. Know your priority before you apply: no fee, no foreclosure charge or a lower rate.
Look elsewhere if you're self-employed, because Godrej says the loan is for salaried people only for now. It's also not built for small amounts under ₹1 lakh. Before you decide, it's worth a quote from one or two other regulated lenders:
- Tata Capital, a large NBFC that also lends big personal loans to salaried people.
- IDFC FIRST Bank, a bank option for a second quote on the same amount.
- Poonawalla Fincorp, an NBFC that targets salaried borrowers with good credit.

Frequently asked questions
Is Godrej Priority Money real or fake?
It's real. Godrej Finance Limited, part of Godrej Capital, lends it, and the lender is on RBI's NBFC register. What doesn't exist is a Priority Money app. Godrej runs the loan as a web journey on its own website, so be wary of any app or APK using the name.
Is Godrej Priority Money RBI registered?
The lender is. Godrej Finance Limited holds serial number 2658 on RBI's NBFC register, under the Mumbai office. RBI's data runs to 30 September 2026 and places it in the Middle layer. Godrej's own lending list shows Priority Money as a journey it runs itself. We couldn't open RBI's apps directory to see the entry there.
What is the real cost of a Godrej Priority Money loan?
Godrej publishes a fixed rate of 10.99% to 18% a year. The fee is capped at 4% of the loan plus GST, and one variant charges none. Borrow ₹5,00,000 for 36 months at 18% with that 4% fee, and about ₹4,76,400 reaches you. The EMI is about ₹18,076. The APR appears only on your KFS.
What is the Godrej Priority Money customer care number?
The number is 022-68815555, and the email is customercare@godrejcapital.com. Godrej's grievance page says the desk is open every day from 9 am to 6 pm. For an unresolved complaint, the Grievance Redressal Officer is Ashpreet Kaur at grievance.redressal@godrejfinance.com, and the Principal Nodal Officer is Sonal Kumar at nodalofficer@godrejfinance.com.
What if someone calls me with a Godrej loan offer or harasses me?
Don't share an OTP or pay anything. Check the offer by calling 022-68815555 or emailing customercare@godrejcapital.com, as Godrej's fraud notice asks. Godrej's Fair Practice Code bars harassment at odd hours and the use of force in recovery. Report fraud to 1930, and complain to Godrej in writing about any abusive calls.
How do I cancel or close a Godrej Priority Money loan?
You get a 3-day cooling-off window after disbursal. In that time you can cancel by repaying the amount paid out, with no prepayment penalty, though Godrej keeps any processing fee. After that, foreclosure costs 0% to 4% depending on your variant. Ask customer care for a foreclosure quote and the final figure in writing.
Do I need an app to apply for Godrej Priority Money?
No. You apply on the Godrej Capital or Godrej Finance website with a mobile number linked to your PAN. You'll need your PAN, Aadhaar, a DigiLocker account and your physical PAN card for video KYC. Income is checked from a bank statement or an Account Aggregator, and the EMIs go out by eNACH auto-debit.
