Kubiz Capital Loan App Real or Fake? RBI Status, Fees, Reviews

Kubiz Capital is real, and unlike many loan apps, it is the lender itself. Kubiz Capital Private Limited, once called Quest Finlease, is an NBFC on RBI's register. It lends through its own Play app, "Kubiz: Loan App, Instant Cash".

Real doesn't mean cheap. The listing's own sample loan of ₹10,000 pays out ₹8,997 and takes back ₹13,077 in three instalments. So before you borrow, find two figures on the Key Fact Statement (KFS): the amount credited to you and the sum of all instalments. What follows is what we found as of October 2026.

Kubiz Capital in five points

  • It's a registered NBFC. Kubiz Capital is serial 3856 in the 30 September 2026 edition of RBI's NBFC list, under the Mumbai office.
  • It lends directly. The Play listing names Kubiz Capital Private Limited as the lender, with no outside partner.
  • No sign of a scam. No RBI caution, police case or press report about Kubiz turned up in our searches.
  • Fees are heavy. Processing starts at 7.5% of the loan. A separate service fee starts at 6%, and GST comes on top of both.
  • Recent reviews are rough. Many from late October 2026 say loans showed as paid out but never arrived.

The company behind Kubiz Capital

Kubiz Capital Private Limited calls itself an RBI registered non-banking financial company. Its loan policy says it does not accept deposits. The same policy says equity and debt funding come from its parent, Robocash PTE.

We found one Play app, in.kubiz.app, published by Kubiz Capital. Most people simply search for the "Kubiz loan app". Kubiz's website has no separate page naming outside lending apps or service partners.

Addresses are untidy, though. The website footer and RBI's register give Opus Park in Andheri East, Mumbai. The terms give a Kalbadevi address and the privacy policy gives Bandra-Kurla Complex. The Play listing gives yet another office, in The Summit Business Bay. Four addresses don't make a company fake, but they do make it harder to know where to write.

Kubiz Capital and the RBI: a check you can repeat

This is the routine we ran. It works for any loan app and takes a few minutes.

  1. Get the legal name. For this app it's Kubiz Capital Private Limited, printed on the Play listing and the website.
  2. Search RBI's NBFC list. In the 30 September 2026 edition, it's serial 3856. RBI shows it as "formerly Quest Finlease Private Limited", Mumbai office, Base layer, with no public deposits.
  3. Match the CIN. The website prints U65999MH2010PTC204859, and RBI's row shows the same number.
  4. Look up RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory. That page refused to load for us, so the app's entry is unchecked. Google Play's India policy admits only apps on that list, which helps but isn't proof.
  5. Check for warnings. RBI also keeps a list of cancelled NBFC licences, and its Sachet portal takes reports on unregistered lenders. Look at both if a "Kubiz" offer comes from outside the app.
  6. Read the KFS. Before you sign, it should show the APR and every fee in rupees.

One claim needs care. The Play listing says "RBI approved". RBI registers NBFCs; it does not approve apps. Kubiz is a registered NBFC, so the spirit holds, but the wording claims more than RBI does. Our RBI check guide explains the difference.

The Play listing's sample loan shows how these stack up. On ₹10,000 for 3 months, the processing fee is ₹1,003 and the service fee is ₹2,478, both with GST. Interest is ₹600. You receive ₹8,997 and then pay three instalments of ₹4,359.

In plain words, you get ₹8,997 and hand back ₹13,077. The loan costs you ₹4,080 over three months. The listing prints a total of ₹14,081, which seems to add back the fee already taken. Either way, it's far above what an APR of 36% suggests.

Reviewers describe even shorter loans. One got ₹5,433 for 12 days and was asked for ₹7,527. Another had ₹4,000 approved and owed ₹6,180 within 30 days. That borrower lists a ₹377 processing fee and a ₹2,022 "tech plateform" fee.

Why the "fake" question keeps coming up

Kubiz isn't a fake lender. Still, several things make people uneasy.

  • Short loans. Reviewers report tenures of 12, 13, 14, 28 and 30 days, well under the 3 to 4 months on the listing. Google Play doesn't allow personal loans that are due in full in 60 days or less.
  • Missing payouts. Dozens of reviews from 25 to 28 October 2026 say money showed as sent but never arrived. It looks like an outage. We saw no developer reply to any of the 300 reviews we read.
  • Auto-debit after rejection. One reviewer says charges were taken after the loan was turned down, with the mandate still running.
  • Data use. Play's Data safety page says nothing is shared with third parties and lists no SMS. Yet the privacy policy asks to view all SMS messages, and the terms allow sharing with group firms for marketing.
  • Blank fields. The pre-termination charge in the loan policy reads "Rs. _______/-". The grievance officer's name in the privacy policy is blank too.

The paperwork, at least, is ordinary. Aadhaar OTP KYC, a selfie, PAN, a bank statement check and an e-mandate for repayment are what any NBFC app asks for.

Kubiz Capital reviews: the good and the bad

Google Play gave Kubiz 4.2 stars from 8.29K reviews on 30 October 2026, with 10L+ downloads. Kubiz last updated the app on 13 October 2026.

That average hides a sharp split. Of the 150 newest reviews, dated 24 to 28 October 2026, 75 were one-star and 55 were five-star. In the 150 that Play ranks as "most relevant", 109 were one-star.

The common complaints are payouts not credited and loans of about two weeks. People also mention payments not showing, late fees added and interest charged to the due date after early repayment. Two people say they were warned their contacts would be messaged. A third describes daily pressure from the recovery team. These are single, unverified reports, and the privacy policy says the app won't touch your contact list.

The best reviews praise speed and ease. One happy borrower got ₹7,245 on an ₹8,000 loan and repaid ₹10,022 over two months. Watch for padding as well. Many one- or two-word five-star reviews landed on 27 and 28 October, right in the middle of the complaint wave.

Staying safe from Kubiz impostors

  • The only Kubiz app we found is "Kubiz: Loan App, Instant Cash" (in.kubiz.app). Get it from Google Play, never from a link or an APK file.
  • Don't pay a "release" or "approval" fee in advance. Kubiz takes its processing fee from the payout and adds the service fee to the instalments, and both appear in the KFS.
  • Repay only through the app's own payment screen. Paying a personal UPI ID or an agent's own account is never safe.
  • Compare any caller's number with the official ones: 02265747999 for customer care and 8419941991 for grievances.
  • If anyone threatens to message your contacts, save the evidence. Kubiz's own privacy policy says the app won't access your contact list.

Complaints: the Kubiz Capital escalation ladder

Kubiz publishes a three-level grievance process. Use email where you can, so you have a dated record.

  1. Level 1: write to care@kubiz.in or call 8419941991. Customer care also answers on 02265747999 from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Saturday.
  2. Level 2: no fix after 5 working days? Write to csmanager@kubiz.in, the Customer Support Manager.
  3. Level 3: email the Grievance Redressal Officer at grievance@kubiz.in. No officer is named anywhere on the site.
  4. RBI: after 30 days without a fair answer, complain to the Integrated Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in. You can also dial 14448.
  5. Police: for threats, fake agents or fraud, call the cybercrime helpline on 1930.

The Kubiz Capital customer care page on our site lists each of these contacts with its hours.

Who should and shouldn't borrow from Kubiz Capital

Kubiz may suit a salaried borrower who needs a small emergency sum and has read the KFS. You should also be sure of repaying on time. Its standing as an RBI-registered NBFC is solid.

Avoid it if you need more than a few weeks to repay, or if fees would eat a big slice of the loan. Get quotes from KreditBee, Nira or Moneyview first. Our full Kubiz Capital review has the scores and the fine print, and every loan app we've reviewed is listed too.

FAQs

Is Kubiz Capital real or fake?

Kubiz Capital is real. Kubiz Capital Private Limited, formerly Quest Finlease, appears in RBI's September 2026 list of NBFCs and lends through its own app. Our searches turned up no RBI warning or police case against it. People doubt it because of high fees, very short loans and a recent wave of missing payouts.

Is Kubiz Capital RBI registered?

Yes. Kubiz Capital Private Limited is serial 3856 in RBI's September 2026 list of NBFCs, under the Mumbai office. Its CIN matches the one on the website. The Play listing's "RBI approved" wording overstates it, since RBI registers lenders, not apps. RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory wouldn't load, so the app's own entry is unchecked.

How much does a Kubiz loan cost?

On interest, the listing quotes 1.5% to 3% a month. Fees start at 7.5% for processing and 6% for service, with GST added. In its own example, you receive ₹8,997 on a ₹10,000 loan and repay three instalments of ₹4,359. That's ₹4,080 more than you get, over three months.

What is the Kubiz customer care number?

Kubiz customer care is 02265747999, with email at care@kubiz.in. Lines are open from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Saturday. For complaints, the first-level number is 8419941991. The escalation emails are csmanager@kubiz.in and then grievance@kubiz.in. Each was published on Kubiz's pages in October 2026.

What if Kubiz recovery agents threaten me?

Save the call log, messages and any screenshots. Kubiz's privacy policy says the app won't access your contact list, so threats to message your contacts are a serious matter. Complain to grievance@kubiz.in in writing. If you are threatened, or someone demands money to a personal account, call 1930 and report it.

Can I repay or close a Kubiz loan early?

The website says you can repay early at any time. But the loan policy leaves the pre-termination charge blank. Some reviewers also say interest ran to the due date after they paid early. Before prepaying, email care@kubiz.in for the exact closing amount, and keep the reply and your no-dues letter.

Kubiz shows my loan as disbursed, but no money arrived. What should I do?

Many borrowers reported this between 25 and 28 October 2026. First look at your bank statement. Then send your loan ID and a screenshot to care@kubiz.in. Ask for the bank transfer reference. If it isn't fixed in 5 working days, escalate to csmanager@kubiz.in. Keep everything in writing until the payout is traced.
