MoneyWide Loan App Real or Fake? Who Lends and Where the App Went
By Pankaj Pandey · Content Writer Edited by BankCreds Content & SEO Team Updated 4 November 2026 Reviewed by BankCreds Financial Experts MoneyWide is real. It's a personal loan brand, and the money is lent by MyLoanCare Ventures Private Limited, an RBI-registered NBFC. PB Fintech, the company behind Policybazaar, controls that lender, and we found no RBI caution against it.
Whether it's safe for you is a separate question, and it depends on where you apply. Google Play no longer lists the MoneyWide Android app as of November 2026, so the official website is the only route we could confirm. Before you sign, make sure your Key Fact Statement (KFS) names MyLoanCare Ventures as the lender.
Quick answer
- Real company: MoneyWide's About page says MyLoanCare Ventures runs it, and MyLoanCare's loan agreement lists the same company as lender.
- Regulated lender: MyLoanCare Ventures is entry 4714 on RBI's register of NBFCs, with data to 30 September 2026.
- Big owner: PB Fintech took a 70.10% stake in 2022 and, in September 2026, approved buying the last 20%.
- App gone: Google Play shows "not found" for the MoneyWide app, though the website still tells you to download it.
- Mid to high cost: published rates run from 16% to 36% a year, and fees take 2.5% to 5% of the loan.
Who runs MoneyWide and who lends the money
MoneyWide is a brand name, not a company. Its About page says it's run by MyLoanCare Ventures Private Limited, part of the PB Fintech group. MyLoanCare's own website calls the company an RBI-registered NBFC, and its Apply button takes you to MoneyWide.
The sample loan agreement settles who lends. It names MyLoanCare Ventures, once called My Finance Care Advisors, as "the Lender". It also calls the MoneyWide website the lender's loan service provider. So the brand and the lender sit under one roof.
PB Fintech's own stock exchange filings back this up. In June 2022 it raised its stake to 70.10%, after RBI approved the change in control. In September 2026 it said it plans to buy the remaining 20% by 31 March 2027, according to a report by Angel One.
There's one loose end. An archived Google Play page from 2023 said the app was owned and run by MLC Finotech Private Limited. That company's CIN still shows in the mobile footer of MoneyWide's site. We couldn't confirm what MLC Finotech is, so treat MyLoanCare Ventures as the name that matters.
The same old listing named HDB Financial Services as a second lending partner. MoneyWide's partner page also mentions Muthoot Finance and HDB. Both are on RBI's list, but we didn't see either confirm MoneyWide, and the sample KFS names only MyLoanCare.
Is MoneyWide RBI registered? How we checked
An app or a brand can't hold an RBI licence. Only the lender can, so two things matter: is MyLoanCare registered, and does it own up to MoneyWide? Our checks are dated 4 November 2026, and you can run each one yourself.
- Read the lender's name on your papers. MoneyWide's KFS and loan agreement name MyLoanCare Ventures Private Limited. If yours names someone else, stop and ask why.
- Get RBI's NBFC register. It's published as a PDF file on the RBI website. The edition we used ran to 30 September 2026.
- Search for "Myloancare". You should see entry 4714, under the New Delhi office, with CIN U65100DL2013PTC258637 and the class ICC.
- Match the licence number. The loan agreement quotes RBI certificate N-14.03560, dated 23 September 2021.
- Check that the lender claims the brand. MyLoanCare's agreement names MoneyWide's website as its loan service provider. That link matters more than any logo.
- Search RBI's digital lending app directory. That page wouldn't load for us, so this step is unfinished. With the app gone from Play, look for the website there.
- Search for warnings. We found no RBI press release or caution about MyLoanCare, and its entry is on the current register. Search RBI's site and Sachet yourself as well.

What a MoneyWide loan costs
MoneyWide prints different terms on different pages. Here is each one, with where it appears, as of November 2026.
Product or term | What's published | Where |
|---|---|---|
Instant Personal Loan | ₹20,000 to ₹3,00,000, 6 to 36 months, 18% to 26% a year, 3.75% fee | Personal loan page |
New to Credit loan | ₹20,000 to ₹1,00,000, 3 to 12 months, 30% to 35% a year, 4% fee | Personal loan page |
Short Term loan | ₹10,000 to ₹50,000, 3, 6 or 9 months, 36% a year, 5% fee | Short term loan page |
General rate | 16% to 32% a year, 2.5% fee | Fees and charges page |
Board policy | 17% to 35.99% a year for unsecured loans | MyLoanCare rate policy |
APR example | 17.01% to 32.6% | MyLoanCare homepage |
Part-payment | 3% of the amount prepaid, after the 1st EMI | Fees and charges page |
Foreclosure | 4% of what's left, after the 1st EMI | Fees and charges page |
Late and bounce charges | No figure published | Rate policy and sample KFS |
Cooling-off | 3 days | Sample KFS |
Here's a plain example. Take a ₹1,00,000 loan over 12 months at 18%, the lowest Instant Personal Loan rate. The EMI comes to about ₹9,168, so you repay about ₹1,10,016 in all. The 3.75% fee is ₹3,750, plus ₹675 GST, and it's cut before payout. About ₹95,575 lands in your account.
That's an example, not a quote. Your KFS rate, fee and APR are what you'll actually pay. One oddity: the 36% short-term price is a touch higher than the 35.99% cap in MyLoanCare's board-approved rate policy. Ask about that if you're offered the loan.
Why some people think MoneyWide is fake
Most of the doubt comes from loose ends, not from fraud. These are the real ones we found.
- The app vanished. The Google Play listing returns "not found", and a Play search shows no MoneyWide app. No reason is published.
- The site still says "Get the App". The download button points at the removed listing, which looks careless.
- Two company names. MyLoanCare runs the brand and lends, but the old app and the mobile footer name MLC Finotech.
- A broken partners page. The lending partners page, listed in MoneyWide's sitemap, shows an error message.
- Terms that clash. Ages run from 21 to 55 on one page and 22 to 40 on another. Rates range from 16% to 36%.
- Several phone numbers. MyLoanCare's pages print 9911862226, 8448389600 and 8929461030 for support or grievances.
- A rating with no source. The homepage says "Rated as 4.5/5" but doesn't say who rated it.
What's normal? A lender selling through its own brand is common, and a credit check at sign-up is standard. None of the points above makes MoneyWide fake. They do mean you should check the paperwork harder than usual.
What borrowers say about MoneyWide
Public feedback is thin. Since the app is off Google Play, there are no current Play ratings or reviews to read. MoneyWide's own reviews page loaded with no reviews when we checked.
The last archived Play page, from 2023, showed only 1K+ downloads. That was a small user base at the time. For scale, Angel One reported MyLoanCare's turnover as ₹82 lakh in FY2025-26.
So the honest summary is that we found no recent public feedback we could verify. If you've borrowed, keep your KFS, EMI receipts and every message. That record helps a lot if you ever need to complain.
How to spot a fake MoneyWide app, agent or call
A brand with no live app is easy to copy. A scammer can send an APK file and call it the "new MoneyWide app". Here's how to protect yourself.
- No app file is genuine right now. Google Play has no MoneyWide app, so delete any APK that reaches you by chat or text message.
- Apply only on the website. Type the MoneyWide address yourself. Don't tap loan links in ads or messages.
- No fee before the loan. The sample KFS shows the processing fee coming off the amount paid out. A demand for a "processing" or "insurance" charge in advance doesn't come from MoneyWide.
- Pay only inside your account. MoneyWide's repayment page says to pay by logging in, or through e-NACH autopay. Never pay an agent's personal UPI ID.
- Check the caller's number. The support line on MoneyWide's contact page is +91-9911862226. If someone calls claiming to be MoneyWide, hang up and ring that line yourself to check.
- Check the lender name. A real offer comes with a KFS that names MyLoanCare Ventures Private Limited.
MyLoanCare's Fair Practices Code says it won't harass borrowers at odd hours or use force to recover dues. Threats or abuse go against that code, so save the call logs and messages.
What to do if something goes wrong
Work up MoneyWide's own ladder first, then go outside it.
- Customer care. Call +91-9911862226 (Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6:30 PM). You can also write to care@moneywide.com. Note your ticket number.
- Grievance officer. If that fails, write to the grievance officer, Ghanshyam Soni, on gro@moneywide.com. MyLoanCare's policy promises an acknowledgement within 3 days.
- Senior management. The contact page lists corporate@moneywide.com and the Gurugram corporate office as the third level.
- RBI. Still no fix after 30 days? Take it to RBI's Integrated Ombudsman. The portal is cms.rbi.org.in and the helpline is 14448. Name MyLoanCare Ventures Private Limited as the lender.
- Fraud or threats. Lost money to a fake agent, or getting threats? Ring 1930, the national cybercrime helpline, and file a police complaint.
To cancel a new loan, act fast. Your KFS allows a 3-day cooling-off window: repay the principal plus proportionate APR, and no penalty applies. MoneyWide's cancellation policy asks for a written request to care@moneywide.com within 24 hours, so send it on day one to be safe.
All the numbers and emails are on our MoneyWide customer care page. Our customer care directory has helplines for other lenders.
Should you use MoneyWide?
It can work for you when:
- you have a salaried job, you're between 21 and 55, and your credit score is 650 or more
- you need ₹20,000 to ₹3,00,000 and like that a large listed group owns the lender
- you don't mind applying on a website and reading the KFS line by line
Shop around when:
- you run your own business, since MoneyWide lends to salaried people only
- you'd rather use an app with recent reviews you can read first
- the offer is the 36% short-term loan and another lender's KFS is cheaper
It's worth getting a second offer to compare. Lendingplate lends from its own NBFC through an app that's live on Google Play. CASHe and Moneyview also serve salaried borrowers. Compare rupee totals, not just rates. Our ratings and the full terms are in our full MoneyWide review.
Frequently asked questions
Is MoneyWide real or fake?
MoneyWide is real. It's the loan brand of MyLoanCare Ventures Private Limited, an NBFC registered with RBI, with its corporate office in Gurugram. PB Fintech controls the company. MyLoanCare's loan agreement lists it as the lender, and we found no RBI caution against it. The odd part is that Google Play has dropped its Android app.
Is MoneyWide RBI registered?
Brands aren't registered; lenders are. MoneyWide's lender, MyLoanCare Ventures Private Limited, is entry 4714 in the RBI register edition with data to 30 September 2026. Its loan agreement quotes RBI certificate N-14.03560. If your KFS names any other lender, ask MoneyWide in writing to explain before you sign anything.
What is the real cost of a MoneyWide loan?
It depends on the product you're offered. MoneyWide prices its Instant Personal Loan at 18% to 26% a year and charges a 3.75% fee. New to Credit loans cost 30% to 35%, and short-term loans 36% with a 5% fee. Late and bounce charges aren't published, so find them in your KFS before you accept.
What is the MoneyWide customer care number?
MoneyWide's contact page gives +91-9911862226, with lines open 10 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Saturday. The email is care@moneywide.com. The grievance officer is Ghanshyam Soni, on gro@moneywide.com. Other numbers appear in MyLoanCare's policies, so check our care page before you call any of them.
What if a MoneyWide agent harasses me or I get a fake call?
MyLoanCare's Fair Practices Code bars harassment at odd hours and the use of force to recover loans. Save call logs and messages, then complain to gro@moneywide.com. If a caller asks for an upfront fee or sends an app file, it isn't MoneyWide. Report threats or money lost to the 1930 cybercrime helpline.
How do I close or cancel a MoneyWide loan?
Within the 3-day cooling-off period in the KFS, you can cancel by repaying the principal and proportionate APR, with no penalty. Email care@moneywide.com at once, as the cancellation policy mentions 24 hours. Later on, foreclosure is allowed after the 1st EMI at 4% of what's left. Pay inside your account and ask for a no-dues letter.
Why is the MoneyWide app not on Google Play?
MoneyWide hasn't said. In November 2026 the old listing returns "not found", and a Play search shows no MoneyWide app. Yet the website still has a "Get the App" button. Until a new listing appears, use only the official website, and don't trust an app file from anyone.
Is MoneyWide part of Policybazaar?
In a way. MoneyWide says it belongs to the PB Fintech group, which runs Policybazaar and Paisabazaar. PB Fintech's filings show it took a 70.10% stake in MyLoanCare Ventures in June 2022, and in September 2026 it approved buying the rest. Policybazaar itself doesn't lend to you; MyLoanCare does.
