RapidRupee Loan App Real or Fake? Lenders, Real Cost and Complaints

RapidRupee is a real app. Its loans come from two NBFCs on RBI's register: Bee Pee Jay Finance Limited, its group lender, and Yuvaraj Finance Private Limited. A Mumbai firm, AFG Business Solutions (India) Private Limited, runs the app and says it is not a regulated entity itself. So it is real and tied to regulated lenders, but small loans here can be costly: the published maximum APR, fees included, is 199.1%.

Before you treat any RapidRupee loan as yours, check two things. Your loan agreement should name the NBFC lending to you. And the money should show up in your bank, since many recent reviewers say theirs never did. If you searched "Rapid Rupee", note that it is a different company from RapidMoney, which has its own review. Details are as of October 2026.

RapidRupee: the quick verdict

  • Real: yes. It is a live Play app with 50L+ downloads, run by AFG Business Solutions (India) Private Limited in Andheri (East), Mumbai.
  • Lenders: Bee Pee Jay Finance Limited (serial 1009, Kolkata) and Yuvaraj Finance Private Limited (serial 8470, Andhra Pradesh). Both appear in RBI's latest register, as on 30 September 2026.
  • Loan size: ₹500 to ₹20,000 on Play, over 62 to 365 days.
  • Price: 12% to 36% a year in interest, but a processing fee on every loan lifts the maximum APR to 199.1%.
  • Main complaint: loans shown as paid out in the app that borrowers say never reached their bank.

AFG, Bee Pee Jay and Yuvaraj: who does what

AFG Business Solutions (India) Private Limited is the face of RapidRupee. It calls itself the exclusive licensee of the app and website. Its terms describe AFG as "a service provider" and put the "Lending NBFC" in charge of the loan.

Bee Pee Jay Finance Limited is the main lender. RapidRupee's Play listing and website call it "our group NBFC". An archived July 2025 copy of Bee Pee Jay's DLA and LSP page names AFG as its group LSP. It lists RapidRupee as its app. That two-way link is what you want.

Bee Pee Jay's live site blocked our visits on 30 October 2026, so we relied on that archive. Some details may have changed since.

Yuvaraj Finance Private Limited, of Rajahmundry, is the second partner. Here the link runs one way only. RapidRupee names Yuvaraj, but Yuvaraj's partners page lists only the Yuva Personal Loan App and Oxyloans. It does not mention RapidRupee or AFG.

So which one lends to you? RapidRupee's FAQ says your loan agreement will name the NBFC. Read that page before you accept.

Checking RapidRupee against RBI's records

You can repeat our route on your phone:

  1. List the lenders. RapidRupee's partners page names Bee Pee Jay Finance Limited and Yuvaraj Finance Private Limited. Note both.
  2. Search RBI's NBFC register. Bee Pee Jay sits at serial 1009 under the Kolkata office. Yuvaraj is at serial 8470 under the Andhra Pradesh office. Both are ICCs that take no deposits.
  3. Don't expect to find RapidRupee. AFG is a service provider, not a lender, so it isn't on that list. That is normal.
  4. Try RBI's DLA directory. It refused our connection, so neither lender's app listing could be confirmed. Check it before you apply.
  5. Visit each lender's own site. Bee Pee Jay's archived page names RapidRupee. Yuvaraj's live page doesn't.
  6. Read your agreement. The NBFC named there is the one to check, and the one to complain to.

RBI's list of cancelled registrations wasn't readable, but both lenders are on the current register. Our searches turned up no RBI penalty or caution naming RapidRupee, AFG, Bee Pee Jay or Yuvaraj. Nor did we find any police action or news report about them.

FAQ says to check the app

RapidRupee's own example makes the fee easy to see. You borrow ₹4,000 for 62 days and repay in two 31-day instalments at 12% a year. Interest is just ₹61, but fees, GST included, are ₹440. The total due is ₹4,501, split into ₹2,261 and then ₹2,240.

That fee alone is 11% of the loan, for about two months. It is why a 12% interest rate can sit beside a 199.1% maximum APR. On small, short loans, flat fees do most of the damage.

One point in RapidRupee's favour: Play says there are no upfront fees and the full loan amount is paid out. The fee is added to your repayments rather than cut from the payout.

Reviewers describe higher costs than the example. One, on 17 October 2026, said a first loan of ₹500 showed ₹649 payable. Another, on 13 August 2026, said a ₹3,000 loan meant paying "1.5k extra". A third said a ₹4,000 approval came with about ₹2,000 of interest over 2 months.

Late payment, bounce and foreclosure charges are not on any page we read. Bee Pee Jay's interest rate policy says penal charges "would be decided by the Company from time to time". It adds that it "can charge prepayment charges", so ask for every figure in the Key Fact Statement.

What makes people doubt RapidRupee

Most of the doubt comes from gaps and changes in what RapidRupee publishes. The points we noted:

  • The APR doubled on paper. The website's maximum APR read 99.1% on 3 April 2026. It now reads 199.1%, on Play too.
  • A lender that doesn't list the app. Yuvaraj Finance's partners page leaves RapidRupee out.
  • Hidden charges. There is no published late fee, bounce charge or foreclosure charge.
  • Broad data rights. Under its privacy policy, RapidRupee may gather SMS, contacts and location data. It also asks to pull your friend or contact list from Facebook, LinkedIn or Google.
  • A thinner data label. Play's data safety form doesn't declare contacts or SMS. It does say your installed-apps list may be shared for analytics.
  • Collections reach. The terms let AFG use "any other contact details provided by you" to collect. The app also asks for a reference contact.
  • An old package id. A second package, co.afg.rupie, shows up on third-party app trackers under the RapidRupee name. Google Play returns 404 for it, and only rapidrupee.app is live.

Some things are routine. An LSP working for NBFCs, Aadhaar, PAN and selfie KYC, one loan at a time and a fee on each loan are all common. RapidRupee also says it belongs to FACE and DLAI, now the Unified Fintech Forum, which are industry groups.

Taken together, nothing here points to a fake app. It points to an expensive one with gaps in what it tells you.

RapidRupee on Google Play: ratings and complaints

On 30 October 2026 it showed 4.4 stars from 4,02,124 ratings and 50L+ downloads. It was last updated on 28 September 2026.

The 20 dated reviews shown on the listing, from 26 April to 17 October 2026, lean negative. We counted 13 one-star, 1 two-star and 6 five-star. That small sample doesn't cancel out lakhs of ratings, but one complaint keeps coming back.

Eight of those reviews describe a loan marked as disbursed, with an EMI schedule, that never reached the bank. Two of them, dated 9 August and 18 September 2026, use the same text word for word under different names. People also say email support sends only automated replies.

Other themes come up too:

  • Repeat loans refused after early repayment, sometimes after fresh KYC.
  • Limits that don't grow, even after 2 months of use.
  • Costs that rise as the limit rises.

There is praise as well. A 3 August 2026 reviewer said the app helped when others refused, though the rate was a little high. They added that it "never bothered me with unnecessary phone calls". Another said the money came within 10 minutes. One five-star post from 22 July 2026 still carried a pasted label, "Option 2: Trust + Speed Focus", which suggests copied praise.

Fake RapidRupee apps, agents and repayment requests

  • Install rapidrupee.app only. The Play developer is AFG Business Solutions (India) Private Limited. Ignore APKs and the dead co.afg.rupie listing.
  • Don't confuse it with RapidMoney. RapidMoney is run by MoneyTime Technology Solutions Private Limited, a different Mumbai company. A caller who mixes the two up may be neither.
  • No membership fee. The "Membership" page on RapidRupee's site is about its industry groups, not a charge. Play says there are no membership or upfront fees, so a demand for an "activation" payment is fraud.
  • Pay only in the app. Personal UPI IDs and payment links sent over WhatsApp are not RapidRupee.
  • Check the payout yourself. Before paying any EMI, confirm the loan credit in your own bank statement, not just in the app.

Getting help: RapidRupee contacts and escalation

Keep your loan ID, screenshots and bank statement ready. Then:

  1. Customer care. Call 022 6874 0470 from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday, or write to care@rapidrupee.in. The grievance policy says care usually answers within 5 days.
  2. Grievance officer. Shaista Shaikh, +91 22 6849 2925, 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays. Her email, grievance@afgbusinesssolutions.in, comes from archived copies of the policy, since the live site hides it. Replies at this level may take up to 30 days.
  3. The lender. Your agreement names it. Bee Pee Jay Finance's archived contact page gives customer care 02268091278, plus grievance officer Nadeem Roge on 912268092851 and grievance@bpjnbfc.in. Those details date from 2025, so confirm them. For Yuvaraj Finance, the grievance officer is Saparna Dachepalli, +91 2268492996.
  4. RBI. No fix after 30 days? File at cms.rbi.org.in or call 14448, and name the NBFC on your agreement.
  5. Fraud. For fake apps, threats or stolen money, call 1930 and report it to the police.

RapidRupee's site also links a grievance channel run by the Unified Fintech Forum. All of these numbers sit together on our RapidRupee customer care page.

Is RapidRupee right for you?

RapidRupee may suit someone aged 22 to 59 with at least ₹10,000 a month in income. It fits a very small sum, a few thousand rupees, for a short gap. Its fees are flat, so it only makes sense if you repay on time and don't roll from loan to loan.

Look elsewhere if you need more than ₹20,000, or can't absorb a fee of around 11% on a ₹4,000 loan. The same goes if a payout has gone missing on you before. Small-ticket apps such as mPokket, True Balance or KreditBee are worth comparing. Our scores are in our full RapidRupee review, and you can weigh up others in the reviews section.

Frequently asked questions

Is RapidRupee real or fake?

RapidRupee is real. AFG Business Solutions (India) Private Limited runs the app, while Bee Pee Jay Finance Limited or Yuvaraj Finance Private Limited lends the money. Both lenders are NBFCs on RBI's register. It is no fake, but it is pricey, and lots of recent reviews describe payouts that never arrived.

Is RapidRupee RBI registered?

The app company isn't, and says so openly: AFG states it is not a regulated entity. Its lenders are. RBI's September 2026 register lists Bee Pee Jay Finance Limited at serial 1009 and Yuvaraj Finance Private Limited at serial 8470. Your loan agreement names which of the two is lending to you.

How much does a RapidRupee loan cost?

Interest is 12% to 36% a year, but every loan also carries a processing fee from ₹99. With fees included, the maximum APR is 199.1%. In RapidRupee's own example, ₹4,000 for 62 days costs ₹61 in interest plus ₹440 in fees, for a total due of ₹4,501. Late, bounce and foreclosure charges are not published.

What is the RapidRupee customer care number?

RapidRupee's customer care number is 022 6874 0470, open 9 am to 6 pm from Monday to Saturday, and the email is care@rapidrupee.in. For formal complaints, the grievance officer is Shaista Shaikh on +91 22 6849 2925, Monday to Friday. These come from RapidRupee's own pages and Play listing as of October 2026.

RapidRupee shows my loan as disbursed, but I got no money. What now?

Act before the first EMI date. Download your bank statement, screenshot the app and email care@rapidrupee.in asking for the transfer's reference number. If care can't prove the payout, write to the grievance officer and to the NBFC on your agreement. Still unresolved after 30 days? Complain at cms.rbi.org.in, naming that NBFC.

What if RapidRupee calls my reference or harasses me?

RapidRupee asks for a reference contact, and its terms let AFG use other contact details you gave. We saw no harassment claims in the recent reviews we read, but abuse is never acceptable. Save the calls and messages and complain in writing to care and the grievance officer. For threats or morphed photos, call 1930 and file a police complaint.

How do I close a RapidRupee loan early?

RapidRupee's FAQ encourages repaying before the due date. It publishes no foreclosure charge. Bee Pee Jay Finance's policy, though, says it can charge for prepayment, so ask care for the payoff amount in writing. Pay inside the app, keep the receipt and ask for a closure letter. Some reviewers say repeat loans were refused after early repayment.

Is Rapid Rupee the same as RapidMoney?

No. AFG Business Solutions (India) Private Limited, based in Andheri (East), Mumbai, runs RapidRupee. Its loans come from Bee Pee Jay Finance or Yuvaraj Finance. RapidMoney is run by MoneyTime Technology Solutions Private Limited, based in Borivali, Mumbai. For that app, read our separate RapidMoney review.
