RupeeRedee Loan App Real or Fake? Who Lends and What It Costs

RupeeRedee is a genuine lending app, and the money you borrow comes from Fincfriends Private Limited, a non-bank lender that RBI has registered. So it isn't fake, but it is a pricey way to borrow, and that is the part most people miss.

Real and safe are separate questions. The company exists and the lender is regulated. The risk is the price. Yearly interest sits between 28% and 58%, before any fees. So the first thing to read is the Key Fact Statement (KFS). Check that it names Fincfriends, then put the cash you'll receive next to the total you'll repay. Everything here is as of October 2026.

RupeeRedee: the answer in five lines

  • Real app, real lender: the Play listing says Fincfriends issues every loan. Fincfriends is at serial number 2329 in RBI's NBFC list as on September 30, 2026.
  • The lender claims the app: Fincfriends names RupeeRedee on its own website as its digital lending partner.
  • No ban or caution found: we found no RBI warning, police case or Play removal.
  • Costly once fees are in: the processing fee can reach 15%. A separate service fee is charged too.
  • Your one check: the KFS must show Fincfriends as lender, the amount credited and the full repayment.

Moneymitra and Fincfriends: who runs RupeeRedee and who lends

RupeeRedee's About page says the app and website are owned and run by Moneymitra IT Solutions Private Limited. Moneymitra is a tech company with its registered office on the 7th floor of Vatika Triangle in Gurugram. RupeeRedee says it began operating in 2018.

Moneymitra doesn't lend its own money. Fincfriends does, and it is named on the About page, in the site footer and on Google Play. Fincfriends says it was set up in 2017 and doesn't take public deposits. Its home page calls RupeeRedee its digital lending partner.

The two firms are close. Fincfriends gives the same Vatika Triangle office as its corporate address. In April 2024, Outlook Business described Fincfriends as RupeeRedee's captive NBFC. Moneymitra even appears on Fincfriends' list of collection agencies, next to 14 outside firms.

One line doesn't match. The FAQ says RupeeRedee works with "multiple NBFCs at the backend", and that your agreement names the lender. Every other page names only Fincfriends. So read the lender's name in your own papers.

Is RupeeRedee RBI registered? Retrace our checks

RBI licenses lenders, not apps. A lender then has to declare the apps it lends through. So you're proving two things: the lender is on RBI's list, and the lender owns up to the app. We ran these steps on 30 October 2026, and anyone can repeat them.

  1. Read the footer. The RupeeRedee website footer says "NBFC Partner" and names Fincfriends Private Limited. The Play listing agrees.
  2. Open RBI's NBFC list. RBI posts it as a PDF. In the edition as on September 30, 2026, Fincfriends is at serial number 2329. It sits under the New Delhi regional office and is marked as not taking deposits. RBI's own site was down for us, so we opened the copy the Internet Archive saved on 20 October 2026.
  3. Match the company number. RBI's list gives Fincfriends' CIN as U65929HR2017FTC135958. A matching CIN proves it's the same company, not a lookalike name.
  4. See whether the lender names the app. Fincfriends has a Digital Lending Partner page. It lists RupeeRedee as the app and Moneymitra as the service provider. A link that runs both ways is a good sign.
  5. Search RBI's directory of lending apps. The page timed out on our side, so this check is still open. If it opens for you, type in RupeeRedee.
  6. Look for warnings. Our news search found no RBI caution, ban or police action naming RupeeRedee or Fincfriends. We didn't search RBI's Sachet portal, so do that yourself.

RBI's list of cancelled licences wouldn't download either. For the method in more detail, see our step-by-step RBI loan app check.

RupeeRedee interest, fees and APR in one table

The fullest price list is a product note from the lender. Fincfriends' product committee approved it on 25 September 2026, for terms in force from August 13, 2026. Google Play quotes some figures differently, so the table says where each one comes from.

Google Play gives one worked example. Borrow ₹11,000 for 3 months and you pay ₹990 in interest, a ₹165 processing fee and a ₹182 service charge. That makes ₹12,337, paid in 3 EMIs of ₹4,112.

That example is kinder than the product note. Its ₹182 service charge is far below the note's lowest service fee, which on ₹11,000 is about ₹964. It also adds the ₹165 fee to your repayment, while the note says the fee comes off your payout. Both can't be your price, so trust your own KFS. And watch for two more charges in the FAQ, an "Approval Fee" and an "Extension Fee", that the product note never lists.

The parts of RupeeRedee that worry people

Most doubts about RupeeRedee come from how it behaves, not from who owns it.

  • The ad and the bill differ. Ads lead with 28% interest and a 1.5% fee. The lender's note allows ten times that fee, plus the service fee. A borrower expecting the low end can feel cheated.
  • The data form and the policy disagree. Play's Data safety page says the app collects or shares no data. The privacy policy says it reads transactional SMS, your installed apps and your location.
  • Calls are hard to switch off. The terms let it call you despite a Do Not Disturb registration. The privacy policy keeps your consent to calls, 8 am to 7 pm daily, even after you stop being a customer.

What's normal? A lender and an app in one group, a credit check, and a fee taken from the loan. What's not normal is paying anything before the money arrives. The fee is deducted from the loan, so nobody should ask you for it first.

RupeeRedee reviews on Google Play, October 2026

On 30 October 2026, RupeeRedee had a 4.6 rating on Google Play from 4,05,560 ratings. It had over 1 crore downloads and was last updated on 21 October 2026.

That high score hides a split. A lot of the latest five-star posts say just "good" or something equally short. They come at a steady pace, not in bursts, so we don't call them fake. Still, the developer asks four-star reviewers for five stars. We also found one complaint posted word for word under two names, on 11 May and 10 September 2026.

The longer October reviews tell you more:

  • Speed: some borrowers say the money landed in a minute or within 10 minutes. One says their limit grew from 7k to over 1 lakh.
  • Deductions: two reviewers said they received ₹5,100 but owed ₹7,413.15. That's ₹2,313.15 more than they got.
  • Outages and stuck payouts: some loans showed "Disbursement Process" but no money came. Others said the app stopped working, then they were charged late fees on EMIs they couldn't pay in it.
  • Recovery pressure: reviewers describe many calls a day after one missed EMI, calls to family and friends, and calls after a loan was closed.

We couldn't verify these claims. But the lender's own Fair Practice Code bars calls earlier than 8 am or later than 7 pm. It also forbids harassing a borrower's family, friends or referees. If that happens to you, it's a breach you can complain about.

Spotting a fake RupeeRedee app, link or caller

A well-known app is worth copying, and Fincfriends knows it. Its website warns borrowers about other apps or portals that claim Fincfriends as their lender.

  • One app only. The real Play app is "RupeeRedee - Personal Loan App" from Moneymitra IT Solution Private limited. No other Play app carries the name. Never install a RupeeRedee APK sent by WhatsApp, SMS or Telegram.
  • Similar names aren't related. Rupee112 and RupeeGo are separate apps. Viva Money is a different brand that Fincfriends also lends through, covered in our Viva Money review.
  • No fee before the loan. The processing fee comes out of the loan amount. A caller asking you to pay a "processing" or "approval" charge first is not following RupeeRedee's terms.
  • Pay only in the app. Use the app or the auto-debit you set up. Never send EMIs to someone's own UPI ID or to a QR code a caller shares.
  • Check the address. Published RupeeRedee emails end in rupeeredee.com. The lender's grievance email ends in fincfriends.in, spelt with a c. A Gmail address claiming to be RupeeRedee is not the company.

Asked to repay a RupeeRedee loan you never took? Don't pay. Check your loans in the real app first.

Trouble with a RupeeRedee loan? Where to complain

Keep notes and ticket numbers, and go up in this order.

  1. Customer care. Email care@rupeeredee.com or call 0124-6914100. Email is answered Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm, per the FAQ, which also offers a callback form.
  2. RupeeRedee's grievance officer. Moneymitra's Nodal Grievance Redressal Officer is Shivani Jha. Her contact is GRO@rupeeredee.com, phone 0124-4699111.
  3. The lender's nodal officer. Fincfriends lends the money, so you can also write to Karan Chandna at gro@fincfriends.in or ring 0124-6914222. Its policy promises an answer within 30 days.
  4. RBI. No fix after 30 days, or a poor answer? Go to RBI's Integrated Ombudsman. Its complaint site is cms.rbi.org.in and its helpline is 14448.
  5. Cyber police, for fraud. For threats, fake apps or money taken by a fake agent, call the cybercrime helpline on 1930.

Took a loan and regret it already? Fincfriends' code allows you to walk away within 3 days of approval. You may still pay the processing fee, plus interest for the days you had the money. Every number above sits on our RupeeRedee customer care page.

Is RupeeRedee a good pick for you?

RupeeRedee may suit you if:

  • you have a steady income (the Play listing asks for ₹25,000 a month) and need a small sum fast,
  • banks have said no because your credit score is low or thin,
  • you're sure you can pay every EMI on time and won't close early.

Look somewhere else if:

  • your score is good enough for a bank or a larger NBFC,
  • you may repay early, since 5% of the balance plus the leftover service fee eats most of the saving,
  • your pay dates are uncertain, because each missed EMI costs ₹1,000 plus daily overdue interest.

Before you choose, get a KFS from two or three regulated apps and compare the APR and the cash in hand. KreditBee covers small first loans and much bigger ones. Moneyview is worth a look if your score is decent. For a modest sum, check mPokket. Our scores on speed, support and safety are in our full RupeeRedee review.

Frequently asked questions

Is RupeeRedee real or fake?

RupeeRedee is real. Moneymitra IT Solutions in Gurugram runs the app. Fincfriends Private Limited, on RBI's NBFC list as on September 30, 2026, lends the money. Fincfriends names RupeeRedee on its own site. We found no RBI caution, ban or police action against either firm. Real doesn't mean cheap, so read the KFS before you sign anything.

Is RupeeRedee RBI registered?

The app has no licence of its own, because RBI registers lenders, not apps. Its lender, Fincfriends Private Limited, is a registered NBFC that doesn't take deposits. It sits at serial number 2329 in RBI's list as on September 30, 2026, and it declares RupeeRedee as its lending app. RBI's app directory timed out when we tried, so check it again yourself.

How much does a RupeeRedee loan really cost?

It costs more than the headline rate. Interest is 28% to 58% a year. Then the processing fee, between 1.5% and 15%, is cut before payout. A service fee worth 8.76% to 19.5% of what you borrow is collected with your EMIs. Google Play states an APR range of 32% to 64%. A missed EMI adds a ₹1,000 fine and overdue interest.

What is the RupeeRedee customer care number?

RupeeRedee's contact page gives 0124-6914100, and the email is care@rupeeredee.com. The FAQ says email is answered from Monday to Saturday. For a complaint, go to the grievance officer on 0124-4699111 or GRO@rupeeredee.com.

What can I do about RupeeRedee recovery calls?

Note the dates, times and numbers, then complain in writing to the grievance officer and the lender's nodal officer. Fincfriends' code limits calls to 8 am to 7 pm and bars harassing your family or friends. If nothing changes within 30 days, go to the RBI Ombudsman. For threats, or for money taken by fake callers, call 1930.

How do I exit or prepay a RupeeRedee loan?

You can exit within 3 days of approval under the cooling-off rule. The lender may still keep its processing fee and charge interest for those days. After that, closing early costs 5% of the principal left, GST included. You also owe the service fee for the remaining months. Interest itself stops on the day you repay.

Why did I get less than my RupeeRedee loan amount?

Because the processing fee is taken out before the money is sent. The lender's product note sets it at 1.5% to 15% of the loan, GST included. On a ₹20,000 loan, you could get as little as ₹17,000. Your KFS shows the exact amount credited, so compare it with the total repayable before you accept the offer.
