SalaryOnTime Loan App Real or Fake? Two NBFCs and a Third Name
By Pankaj Pandey · Content Writer Edited by BankCreds Content & SEO Team Updated 30 October 2026 Reviewed by BankCreds Financial Experts SalaryOnTime is a real loan app, not a fake one. The loans are tied to Kasar Credit & Capital and Karn Securities, two Delhi NBFCs on RBI's register. Whether it's safe is a separate question. Its website now names a third firm, LNVS Fintech Private Limited, as its owner, and we could not find LNVS on RBI's list.
So before you apply, check one thing: the lender named on your Key Fact Statement (KFS). It should be Kasar or Karn, with the APR, every fee and your net payout in rupees. "Salary On Time" is the same app. Our checks are as of October 2026, and some pages could only be read from archived copies.
Quick answer
- Is it real? Yes. SalaryOnTime is live on Google Play with 10L+ downloads, last updated on 30 September 2026.
- Who lends? Kasar Credit & Capital publishes the app on Play, and Karn Securities lists it on its own partner page. Both are on RBI's NBFC register.
- What's odd? The website's terms and privacy policy say LNVS Fintech owns and runs the site. LNVS isn't on RBI's register, and its tie to Kasar is unconfirmed.
- What does it cost? It's unclear. The rate page quotes a daily rate and a 10% fee. The calculator page says 35% a year, with 2% and GST on top.
- Biggest worry? Many 2026 reviews describe approved loans that never reached the bank. The newest reviews look like a wave of one-line praise.
Who runs SalaryOnTime: one app, three company names
Most loan apps in India split the work: a tech firm runs the app, and a registered NBFC lends. SalaryOnTime's papers name three companies, and that's the source of the confusion.
Kasar Credit & Capital Private Limited is the developer on Google Play. Play's description says the app is "by Kasar Credit and Capital Pvt Ltd". Archived copies of the website from June 2025 and February 2026 named Kasar as operator and NBFC. The February copy even carried Kasar's Fair Practices Code.
Karn Securities Private Limited is the second lender. Its partner page, read on 30 October 2026, lists SALARYONTIME as a loan service application. It says Karn approves, pays out and manages those loans. That's the strongest sign we found of a lender owning up to the app.
LNVS Fintech Private Limited is the name on today's website. The terms say LNVS owns and operates the site and call it SalaryOnTime's parent company. The privacy policy, which covers the app too, is in LNVS's name as well.
How should you read this? An app operator doesn't need to be an NBFC, so LNVS missing from RBI's list doesn't prove wrongdoing. But we found no company number for LNVS, so its link to Kasar is unconfirmed. And Kasar's own website timed out, so we couldn't see which apps Kasar lists.
Is SalaryOnTime RBI registered? How we checked
The SalaryOnTime brand isn't registered with RBI, because it isn't the lender. Both companies tied to it are. Here's how to repeat our checks:
- Find the lender on your offer. Your KFS and loan agreement should name Kasar Credit & Capital or Karn Securities. If they show only SalaryOnTime or LNVS Fintech, don't sign.
- Open RBI's list of registered NBFCs. We used the list dated 15 October 2026, as on 30 September 2026. RBI's server timed out, so we read the Internet Archive copy of 20 October 2026.
- Look for both names. Kasar is entry 3655 and Karn is entry 3641. Both sit under RBI's New Delhi office as base-layer lenders that can't take public deposits.
- Match the company numbers. Kasar's CIN is U74899DL1995PTC066816 and Karn's is U74899DL1994PTC061461. Karn's homepage shows its RBI certificate, B-14.02806.
- See whether the lender names the app. Karn's partner page does. Kasar's site didn't load for us, so that check stays open.
- Search RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory and Sachet. The directory timed out for both lenders, and we didn't search Sachet. Do both before you e-sign.
We found no RBI penalty or warning naming Kasar, Karn, LNVS or SalaryOnTime, and no news of police action. Our RBI loan app check guide covers each register.
What a SalaryOnTime loan costs (its pages disagree)
SalaryOnTime prints its terms on at least four pages. No two of them match.
Term | What SalaryOnTime publishes, and where |
|---|---|
Loan amount | ₹10,000 to ₹1,00,000 (rate and terms page, website terms); ₹8,000 to ₹1,00,000 (Google Play); ₹10,000 to ₹5,00,000 (loan calculation page) |
Tenure | 90 to 365 days (Google Play); up to 24 months (website terms); 1 to 3 years (loan calculation page) |
Interest | 0.25% to 1% a day (rate and terms page); 2.9166% a month (loan calculation page); 3% a month (Play example) |
APR | 35%, called fixed on the loan calculation page and a maximum on Play |
Processing fee | 10%, taken out of the payout (rate and terms page); 2% plus 18% GST (loan calculation page) |
Late fee | "May be charged", no amount given (rate and terms page) |
Early closure | No preclosure charge (rate and terms page); interest equal to the first 3 EMIs if fewer than 3 are paid (website terms) |
The daily rate is the one to watch. At 0.25% to 1% a day, simple interest comes to 91.25% to 365% a year. That's nowhere near 35%, so the two pages can't describe the same loan.
Play's worked example takes a ₹10,000 loan over 12 months at 3% monthly. It puts the total repaid at ₹11,517, so ₹1,517 of interest. At that rate, twelve normal EMIs total about ₹12,055, so even the example is off.
The fee bites before you see a rupee. On ₹10,000, a 10% fee is ₹1,000, so at most ₹9,000 reaches you. At 2% plus GST, the fee is ₹236 and you get ₹9,764.
You must be salaried, aged 21 to 55 and paid into a bank account, and a city page asks for ₹30,000 a month. Expect a bureau check. Keep your PAN, Aadhaar, three recent payslips and salary-account statements ready, plus a recent electricity or phone bill and rent agreement.
Why some people think SalaryOnTime is fake
Much of the doubt comes from SalaryOnTime's own pages. Each point is a fact, though none adds up to a scam:
- Three company names. Play says Kasar, the website says LNVS, and Karn calls the app its partner. Who stands behind the loan isn't obvious.
- A brand calling itself an NBFC. The homepage calls SalaryOnTime an "RBI-approved NBFC", and a Delhi page says it's RBI-registered. It's a brand, not a lender.
- Terms that read like a peer-to-peer site. They define a "Lender" as an individual who sends money into an escrow account. That doesn't fit an NBFC lending its own funds.
- Partner links that pointed elsewhere. The June 2025 partner page listed Kasar and Karn. But it linked them to the sites of two other NBFCs, Dev-Aashish Capital and Devmuni Leasing and Finance.
- Wide data sharing. The privacy policy says SMS sender names, content and times go to third parties. With your consent, installed-app data goes to Credeau, a device-data firm working for partner NBFCs.
- A Play form at odds with itself. The Data safety section lists location, personal info and five other data types as shared. It also says "No data collected".
Other parts are ordinary. Lots of apps lean on a separate NBFC's licence, take the fee from the loan and ask for payslips. Our reading is two registered lenders behind a careless or outdated front end. That calls for care, not a fraud label.
What borrowers say about SalaryOnTime, and why the 4.5 needs care
On 30 October 2026, Google Play showed 4.5 stars from 23.1K reviews and 10L+ downloads. The page data counts 23,097 ratings, with 19,804 at five stars and 2,222 at one star.
The detailed 2026 complaints share a pattern: a loan was approved or e-signed, but no money came. Reviews from 9 May, 13 September and 15 September 2026 say exactly that. Others report eKYC that passed on DigiLocker but showed as not done, and care numbers switched off.
Two go further. On 8 August 2026, a user claimed a "10% rate per day" and harassment a day or two after the due date. On 15 September 2026, another said a collector sent threats from several numbers. These are users' claims, which we couldn't verify.
The praise is thin. Reviews from 5 August, 15 September and 17 September 2026 like the simple form and few documents.
Some of it looks managed: one five-star paragraph appears under three names on 12 August, 27 September and 8 October 2026. Another stock review praises a "Salary on My App". The 40 newest reviews we read all came from 28 and 29 October 2026, and 37 were five-star. Most were one line, and one just said "happy birthday".
How to spot a fake SalaryOnTime app, agent or call
Scammers copy known names and prey on stuck loans. These checks help:
- Install from Google Play only. The real listing is "SalaryOnTime:Personal Loan App", package com.salaryontime.salaryontime, from KASAR CREDIT AND CAPITAL PVT LTD.
- Be wary of iPhone or APK links. The iPhone app the old site linked returned no India result on 30 October 2026. Treat a download link sent by chat or SMS as fake.
- Never pay to release a loan. The rate page says the fee comes out of the loan itself. If someone wants an upfront "processing fee" to free a stuck approval, walk away.
- Repay only inside the app or to the account in your loan agreement. A genuine lender won't ask you to pay a personal UPI ID.
- Test the caller. A real agent can quote your loan number and say whether Kasar or Karn holds it. Never read out an OTP.
- Don't mix up the names. SalaryOnTime is separate from Salary Adda, SalaryMantra, CashMySalary and Salaried Loan.
Stuck loan or rude calls? What to do
Save screenshots and call logs. Then work up this ladder:
- SalaryOnTime support. Call or WhatsApp +91-8130604721, shown on every page of its site, or write to info@salaryontime.com. Its terms say a complaint is logged in one working day, with a first answer in five.
- Other numbers. The privacy policy lists +91-8800002898 for complaints, and Play shows +918800002890.
- The grievance officer. SalaryOnTime's grievance page wouldn't open for us, and the officer named in a February 2026 archive may have changed. Ask support for the current name.
- The lender. For a Karn loan, the grievance officer is Ms. Saman Luqman Bilgrami, at grievance@karnsecurities.com or +91 8796552825. Its principal nodal officer is Ms. Harshna Sharma, at nodal@karnsecurities.com or +91 8810265477. For Kasar, Play lists kasarcredit@gmail.com and +91 82828 24633.
- RBI. No fix within 30 days? File with the RBI Integrated Ombudsman on cms.rbi.org.in, or ring 14448, and name the NBFC on your agreement.
- Threats or fraud. Ring 1930, the national cybercrime helpline, and tell your local police.
Our SalaryOnTime customer care page lists every contact. Check it before you trust a new number.
Is SalaryOnTime a good choice for you?
It may suit a salaried person aged 21 to 55, earning ₹30,000 or more, who needs ₹10,000 to ₹1,00,000 for a few months. Go ahead only if your KFS names Kasar or Karn and the APR and fee suit you.
Look elsewhere if you need cash by a fixed date, want one clear price upfront, or don't want your SMS data shared. For a similar loan size, price FlexSalary, built around salary-linked credit, and the larger regulated apps Fibe and KreditBee. Frequently asked questions
Is SalaryOnTime real or fake?
SalaryOnTime is real. It's a working Google Play app with 10L+ downloads, published by Kasar Credit & Capital, an NBFC on RBI's register. Karn Securities, also registered, names it as a partner. We found no RBI warning, but prices clash, the website names a third company and many reviewers report unpaid approvals.
Is SalaryOnTime RBI registered, and which NBFC lends?
The brand itself isn't registered, because it's an app and not a lender. Its two lenders are. Kasar Credit & Capital is entry 3655 and Karn Securities is entry 3641 on RBI's list as at 30 September 2026. Your loan agreement shows which one holds your loan.
Who is LNVS Fintech, and why is it on SalaryOnTime's website?
The terms say LNVS Fintech Private Limited owns and operates SalaryOnTime and is its parent company. LNVS isn't on RBI's NBFC list, and we found no company number for it. App operators needn't be NBFCs, but LNVS isn't your lender, so your KFS should name Kasar or Karn.
How much does a SalaryOnTime loan really cost?
It depends which page you read. The rate page gives a daily rate with a 10% fee, and the calculator page gives 35% a year with 2% plus GST. Play's ₹10,000 example shows ₹1,517 of interest over 12 months, which doesn't fit a normal EMI. Trust only the APR and fee on your Key Fact Statement.
What is the SalaryOnTime customer care number?
Call or WhatsApp +91-8130604721, the number on SalaryOnTime's website, or email info@salaryontime.com. The privacy policy adds +91-8800002898 for complaints, and Play shows +918800002890. Reviewers say some calls don't connect, so put things in writing too. If Karn Securities holds your loan, Karn's grievance desk is another route.
What should I do about harassment or fake calls linked to SalaryOnTime?
A real SalaryOnTime caller can name your lender, Kasar or Karn, and quote your loan number. Don't pay anyone through a personal UPI ID. Note the numbers and times, then email them to SalaryOnTime and the lender's grievance officer. Threats to you or your contacts are a police matter, so ring 1930 and report them.
Can I cancel or close a SalaryOnTime loan early?
Yes. Within 3 days of payout, the terms let you exit without penalty by repaying the principal, the proportionate APR and any charges. Later on there's no prepayment fee, but closing before your third EMI means interest equal to the first 3 EMIs on top. Get the closing amount in writing, then a no-dues letter.
Why is my SalaryOnTime loan approved but not credited?
Many 2026 Play reviews report this, from a repayment date with no payout to a sanction letter and then new document requests. Write to support and the lender, quoting your application number. Never pay to release the money. If nothing arrives, ask them in writing to cancel the loan and confirm you owe nothing.
