Snap Paisa Loan App Real or Fake? A Website Lender, Checked

Snap Paisa is a real lending brand, but it is a website, not a Play Store app. The money is lent by Ampire Finance Private Limited, which RBI lists as an NBFC. Ampire's own rate policy even counts Snap Paisa among its trading names. That settles "real". Safe is less clear. Ampire's public list of lending apps leaves Snap Paisa off, and the site's prices and company details don't match.

The one check before you apply: make sure you're on Snap Paisa's own website, then read the Key Fact Statement (KFS). It should name Ampire Finance, give a tenure of 61 days or more, and state the fee in rupees. Any "Snap Paisa app" on Google Play, or sent to you as an APK, is not official. Everything below is as of 30 October 2026.

Snap Paisa in short

  • Real or fake: a real brand, website only. There is no official Snap Paisa app on Google Play.
  • Lender: Ampire Finance Private Limited, formerly Maulesh Investments. RBI's 30 September 2026 register has it at Sl. No. 413.
  • Price on the site: ₹5,000 to ₹1,00,000, at 1.25% to 2.92% a month, with a 10% fee plus GST.
  • Loan shape: the application locks one repayment date, so it looks like a single-payment loan.
  • Gaps: a wrong lender link in the footer, an old CIN, two sets of grievance officers, and no reviews to check.

The lender behind Snap Paisa: Ampire Finance

Snap Paisa calls itself a digital lending platform. Its site says loans "are provided by Ampire Finance Private Limited, an RBI-registered NBFC ND-II". Ampire's registered office is in Mumbai, at Rustomjee Central Park on Andheri Kurla Road.

The strongest link comes from Ampire's side. Its Interest Rate Policy says the company trades under five brand names. They are Salaryadda, F1 Speed Loan, Snap Paisa, Fast Paisa and SalarySetu. The Fair Practices Code on Snap Paisa's site is Ampire's own, approved by its board on 2 April 2026. It covers "its Brand Snap Paisa". So Snap Paisa is Ampire's brand, not a stranger borrowing the name. We have reviewed a sister brand, Salary Adda, on its own page.

A second company also turns up. The footer names FINTECH CLOUD PRIVATE LIMITED as an "Associated Partner", but never says what it does. That company is not on RBI's NBFC list.

Snap Paisa and RBI: how to confirm it yourself

Six checks, in the order we ran them on 30 October 2026:

  1. Read the site's disclosure. The apply page names Ampire Finance Private Limited, with CIN U65993GJ1981PTC004715 and CoR No. 01.00029.
  2. Find Ampire on RBI's list. The list dated 15 October 2026 has Ampire at Sl. No. 413, under the Mumbai office. It's an ICC in RBI's base layer, with no public deposits.
  3. Compare the CIN. RBI's list shows U65993MH1981PTC471715, a Maharashtra number. Snap Paisa's site still shows an older Gujarat one. The list has no column for CoR numbers, so 01.00029 couldn't be matched.
  4. Check the lender's own app list. Ampire's Digital Lending Partners page lists only LoanWalle, run by Ampire Fintech Private Limited. Snap Paisa isn't there.
  5. Look for Snap Paisa in RBI's lending-app directory. The page wouldn't connect, so Snap Paisa's entry there is unchecked.
  6. Read the KFS. It should name Ampire Finance as your lender.

Step 4 is the gap. Ampire's brand policy names Snap Paisa, but its public list of digital partners doesn't. RBI's cancelled-registrations list was unreadable too. No RBI press release, caution or penalty that we found names Ampire Finance or Maulesh Investments. Use this RBI checking guide for any other lender.

The 15% to 35% labelled as APR is simply the monthly rate times 12. So it seems to leave the 10% fee out.

The site's worked example then uses a different fee. On a ₹50,000, 12-month loan at 35% APR, it shows ₹1,000 plus ₹180 GST. That's 2%, not 10%. You'd get ₹48,820, pay EMIs of ₹4,998 and repay ₹59,978, of which ₹9,978 is interest. At the table's 10% fee, the cut would be ₹5,000 plus ₹900 GST. Only ₹44,100 would reach you.

Other pages add more price signals:

  • Home calculator: 1 to 30 days, at 0.25% to 2% a day.
  • Rate and terms page: a 12% example whose maths is off. A 12-month EMI of ₹8,885 on ₹1,00,000 means about ₹6,618 of interest, not the ₹6,000 it states.
  • Ampire's own loan page: ₹5,000 to ₹5 lakh, from 18%, over 12 to 48 months.
  • Ampire's Interest Rate Policy: it works in monthly terms. One line approves "8% per month which is calculated as 96% annually".

Then there's how you repay. The application asks you to pick and lock one repayment date. The sanction screen shows the tenure in days and a single repayment amount. That looks like a one-payment loan, not monthly EMIs. A UPI Autopay mandate must be set up before any money is sent.

Why Snap Paisa can look fake

  • No app. Most borrowers expect a Play Store app. Snap Paisa has none, and the only Play listing with its name is an unrelated calculator.
  • A footer link to a property site. The "NBFC Partner" link points to a real-estate township website, not to Ampire Finance. The apply page links the right lender site.
  • An old company number. The site shows a Gujarat CIN, while RBI's list has a Mumbai one.
  • Two registered offices. The contact page calls an address in Sector 63, Noida its registered office. Ampire's registered office, per RBI, is in Mumbai.
  • Officer names that change. The grievance page names Ms. Sparshi as both grievance and nodal officer. The policy PDFs name Mr. Kurendar Kumar and Mr. Yash.
  • An unsourced rating. The footer shows 4.9/5, and the home page claims 50,000+ loans, with no source for either.
  • A free gift. Applicants must pick a gold or silver "gift", and no terms are published.
  • Tracking at sign-up. Once you verify your phone by OTP, the site fires a Meta "Lead" event and an affiliate pixel carrying your profile id. It asks for your browser location at that step too.
  • "Without CIBIL checks". One page claims this. The FAQ says applicants must meet credit criteria.

Some of it is normal. An NBFC running several brands is common. So are DigiLocker eKYC, a selfie, bank statements, references and an autopay mandate.

Snap Paisa ratings and borrower feedback

With no official app, there is no Play rating, download count, Data safety form or dated review to read. We searched Google Play for "snap paisa" and "snappaisa" on 30 October 2026. We also tried 14 likely package names. None belonged to Snap Paisa.

The only match was "(Snap Paisa) Loan App SIM" by MAY DEVS, an Indonesian developer, with 500+ downloads. That app says it isn't linked to Snap Paisa and can't be used to apply for a loan. Its reviews tell you nothing about Snap Paisa loans.

The site's own 4.9/5 badge names no source, so we give it no weight. Without independent reviews, the paperwork is your best evidence. Read the KFS, the sanction screen and the repayment amount before you e-sign.

Fake Snap Paisa apps, links and payment requests

  • There is no Snap Paisa app. Any app or APK using the name is not official, including the MAY DEVS calculator.
  • Type the address yourself. The official site ends in .com. The .in address with the same name is parked.
  • Snap Paisa warns about impostors. Its site says fraudsters send fake payment requests by WhatsApp, SMS and social media, posing as staff.
  • Nothing is paid up front. The fee is cut from the payout. Anyone asking for money before the loan is sent is not Snap Paisa.
  • Repay through the mandate. Repayment is meant to come through the UPI Autopay mandate you set up. Be wary of anyone who wants you to pay a personal UPI ID instead.
  • Mind the names. Snap Paisa is not Snapmint, a buy-now-pay-later app. Nor is it the overseas Snap Finance or Snap Loan.

Who to contact about a Snap Paisa loan

  1. Customer care: +91 8750238443 or care@snappaisa.com, Monday to Saturday, between 10 AM and 6:30 PM.
  2. Grievance officer, after 7 days: write to grievance@ampirefinance.com. The officer's name and phone differ between the web page and the PDFs, so rely on the email.
  3. Nodal officer: nodal@ampirefinance.com. The name attached varies, but this address is the same everywhere.
  4. The lender itself: Ampire's own grievance policy lists first-level care on +91 8655661095 and support@ampirefinance.com.
  5. RBI: Snap Paisa's policy lets you take it to RBI if it's still open after 30 days. Use cms.rbi.org.in or 14448, naming Ampire Finance Private Limited.
  6. Fraud: if someone posing as Snap Paisa takes your money, call 1930 straight away and file a police complaint.

These numbers and emails are also on our Snap Paisa customer care page.

Snap Paisa: who it suits and who should skip it

Snap Paisa may suit a salaried earner aged 21 to 51 who takes home at least ₹40,000 a month. (A city page says ₹25,000.) It also helps if you're happy applying on a website. Go ahead only if the KFS names Ampire Finance and shows the exact fee and repayment date.

Skip it if you want an app you can check on Play, monthly EMIs, or a lender that lists its platform openly. You could compare Moneyview, SMFG India Credit and Navi first. Our Snap Paisa review has the full scores.

Frequently asked questions

Is Snap Paisa real or fake?

Snap Paisa is a real lending brand of Ampire Finance Private Limited, an NBFC that RBI has registered. Ampire's Interest Rate Policy lists Snap Paisa among the brand names it trades under. It works through a website only, with no Play app. The concerns are disclosure gaps and pricing that changes from page to page, not a made-up lender.

Is Snap Paisa RBI registered?

Snap Paisa is a brand, and its lender is the registered one. Ampire Finance Private Limited, once Maulesh Investments, is Sl. No. 413 on RBI's NBFC list, filed with the Mumbai regional office. Yet the partners page on Ampire's website mentions LoanWalle alone. RBI's app directory wouldn't load for us, so we couldn't check there.

Is there a Snap Paisa app on the Play Store?

No. On 30 October 2026 we found no official Snap Paisa app on Google Play. The only listing using the name is "(Snap Paisa) Loan App SIM" by MAY DEVS. It's an unofficial calculator that says it doesn't lend. Snap Paisa works only through its website, so don't install any APK that claims to be it.

How much does a Snap Paisa loan cost?

The apply page says 1.25% to 2.92% a month, or 15% to 35% as APR. The fee is 10%, plus 18% GST. Its own example, though, uses a 2% fee on ₹50,000. With the 10% fee, about ₹44,100 of that ₹50,000 would reach you. The lender's policy puts penal charges at 2% of principal.

What is the Snap Paisa customer care number?

Snap Paisa's customer care number is +91 8750238443, and its email is care@snappaisa.com. Support hours are 10 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Saturday. If there's no fix within 7 days, write to grievance@ampirefinance.com, then nodal@ampirefinance.com. Officer names vary by page, but those email addresses stay the same.

What should I do about fake Snap Paisa payment requests?

Don't pay. Snap Paisa itself warns that fraudsters send fake payment requests by WhatsApp, SMS and social media. Genuine repayments go through the UPI Autopay mandate you set up. Report impostors to care@snappaisa.com, and call 1930 if you've lost money. For threats from collectors, use the grievance email, then RBI after 30 days.

Can I close a Snap Paisa loan early?

Yes. The apply page lists pre-closure and prepayment charges as nil. Ampire's Fair Practices Code also says it won't charge individual borrowers a foreclosure penalty. Ask for the exact payoff amount in writing, pay it, and get a no-dues letter. Then ask Snap Paisa to cancel your UPI Autopay mandate.

What is the Snap Paisa gold or silver gift?

While you apply, Snap Paisa asks you to choose a gold or silver "gift". It says the gift will reach your doorstep. No terms for the gift are published anywhere. Treat it as marketing, not a reason to borrow. Judge the loan only on the KFS: the fee, the repayment date and the total due.
