TezCredit Loan App Real or Fake? Who Lends and What It Costs
By Rashmi Mandana · Content Writer Edited by BankCreds Content & SEO Team Updated 30 October 2026 Reviewed by BankCreds Financial Experts TezCredit is a genuine loan app, not a fake one. It belongs to Finagle Financial Services Private Limited, which is also the lender and is on RBI's register of NBFCs. Many people type it as "Tez Credit", and it's the same app.
A registered lender does not make every loan fair, though. The Play listing promises 12% to 36% a year over months. Yet many recent reviewers describe loans of about a month at 1% a day. So the one thing to check before you accept is the Key Fact Statement (KFS). Look for the rupee amount you'll receive, the total you'll repay and the due date. Everything below reflects what we found as of October 2026.
The short answer
- Who lends: Finagle Financial Services, an NBFC that runs TezCredit as its own app. No outside partner is involved.
- RBI check: Finagle is serial 2321 in RBI's register as it stood on 30 September 2026, under the New Delhi office.
- Fraud? We found no RBI caution, police case or news story naming TezCredit or Finagle.
- Cost risk: the advertised top APR is 50%, and reviewers report short loans at about 1% a day.
- Rating warning: the 4.5-star score looks inflated by bursts of generic five-star posts in October 2026.
Who owns TezCredit, and who gives the loan?
TezCredit's website calls it a brand of Finagle Financial Services Private Limited. The Play listing says every loan is sanctioned and paid out only by Finagle, under RBI registration N-14.03528. The registered office is on Asaf Ali Road, New Delhi.
This is simpler than most apps. Often one company builds the app and a different NBFC puts up the money. Here they are one and the same. Finagle's own website lists TezCredit as a lending app that it owns.
Finagle lends through other apps as well. Its partner page names Anytime Rupee, run by Pi Credit Services, and MoneyDot, run by YRS Solutions. That matters if you've used them. One reviewer found an old Anytime Rupee loan showing up in TezCredit as a Finagle loan.
The name causes mix-ups. TezCredit has nothing to do with Google's old Tez payments app, which became Google Pay in 2018. It's also unrelated to an Uzbek banking app called Tez. Some reviewers spell it "Tej Credit".
Checking TezCredit's RBI status yourself
RBI doesn't approve apps one at a time. It registers the company that lends. These are the steps we took, and you can repeat them on your phone.
- Note the lender. Copy the exact name from the Play listing or your loan papers: Finagle Financial Services Private Limited.
- Search RBI's register. In the edition as on 30 September 2026, Finagle is serial 2321. It's a non-deposit-taking, Base layer NBFC under the New Delhi office.
- Match the company number. The CIN in RBI's row, U65999DL2019PTC358861, is the same one printed on the TezCredit website.
- Look for cancellations. RBI keeps a list of NBFCs that lost their licence. We couldn't open it this time, so check it yourself.
- Ask the lender's own site. Finagle's DLA partners page lists TezCredit as an app it owns.
- Search RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory. It timed out for us, so the app's listing is unconfirmed. Google Play only allows Indian personal-loan apps from that RBI list, which helps but isn't proof.
- Report fakes on Sachet. If a "TezCredit" offer reaches you outside the Play app, report it on Sachet, RBI's portal for unregistered lenders.

TezCredit charges: what's advertised and what borrowers pay
TezCredit's Play listing gives clear ranges. Its website and its borrowers tell a different story, so read all three.
Term | Published figure | Where it's published |
|---|---|---|
Loan amount | ₹5,000 to ₹2,50,000 | Google Play listing |
Tenure | 3 to 60 months | Google Play listing |
Interest | 12% to 36% a year | Google Play listing |
Processing fee | Up to 5% + GST | Google Play listing |
Conversion fee | Up to 2% + GST | Google Play listing |
Highest APR | 50% | Google Play listing |
Calculator range | ₹10,000 to ₹1,00,000, 3 to 18 months, 7% fee with GST | TezCredit product page |
The listing's own example is ₹30,000 for 6 months at 24% a year. Fees and GST come to ₹1,416, so ₹28,584 reaches your bank. You then pay six EMIs of ₹5,356, which is ₹32,136 in total. The APR on that loan is 41.47%. The gap between 24% and 41.47% is the fees.
Recent reviews describe something else. One borrower took ₹23,000, lost ₹3,450 in fees and got ₹19,550, then was asked for ₹28,980 at 1% a day. Another took ₹10,000, received ₹8,500 and owed ₹13,100 after 31 days. A third said simply that there is no EMI system.
Late and bounce charges are named in the credit policy, but we found no amounts anywhere. The penal policy says any penalty falls on the overdue amount only, not the whole loan.
Reasons people doubt TezCredit
The biggest reason is a price that doesn't match the advert. If you expected up to 36% a year and then see 1% a day, it feels like a trick. A 31-day loan also sits badly with Google Play's ban on personal loans due in full within 60 days.
Other issues we found:
- Payouts that don't arrive. Several October 2026 reviews say the app showed money as sent, but the bank never got it. One says interest kept growing daily while they waited. Another was given a URN rather than the UTR banks use to trace transfers.
- No phone helpline. The FAQ says to contact support by call or email, but only an email is published. The only number belongs to the grievance officer.
- Confused data labels. The Play Data safety section lists seven data types that may be shared, yet also says no data is collected. The privacy policy says SMS content is collected and passed to third parties.
- Sloppy paperwork. The privacy policy calls the firm "FINAGLE FINANCE PRIVATE LIMITED", which isn't its registered name.
Some things are normal. A credit check, DigiLocker KYC, a selfie and salary bank statements are routine for a salaried loan. Giving reference contacts is common too, but no lender needs your whole phone book.
What TezCredit users say on Google Play
As of 30 October 2026, TezCredit had 4.5 stars from 6.81K reviews and 5L+ downloads. Its last update was on 18 September 2026, version 1.0.10, which added a chatbot.
We read the 600 newest reviews, posted from 1 August to 29 October 2026. Of those, 370 gave five stars and 164 gave one star.
October looks odd. Of 296 reviews that month, 218 were five-star, against 74 in August and 78 in September. Many arrived in bursts on 16, 25, 27 and 28 October, using short, generic lines about clear menus. Two had nothing to do with loans, one praising "entertainment content". We can't prove they're fake, but they don't read like real borrowers.
The honest reviews split two ways. Happy users praise quick approval and fast payouts, and one adds that the rate is "so high". Unhappy users report daily interest, missing payouts and a rejection despite a 782 credit score. One describes a rude recovery call at 8 a.m. on a Sunday. Another alleges threats, which we could not verify.
Fake TezCredit calls, links and agents: how to tell
A short, familiar name like Tez is easy to copy. Use these checks before you trust anything.
- The real app is "TezCredit: Instant Loan App" by Finagle Financial Services Private Limited. Download it only from Google Play.
- TezCredit says repayments go only through its website or official app. It never asks you to pay a personal bank account or UPI ID.
- Don't pay any upfront "processing fee" to get money released. Genuine fees are cut from the payout and listed in the KFS.
- Don't install an APK file sent on WhatsApp, SMS or Telegram, even with the TezCredit logo on it.
- The fair practice code forbids recovery calls before 8 a.m. and after 7 p.m. TezCredit names Aarvify and Credgenics as its recovery partners. A caller who names neither, or makes threats, should be reported.
Problems with a TezCredit loan: who to contact
Write rather than call, so you have proof. TezCredit's grievance policy promises an acknowledgement in 3 working days and aims for a fix within 7.
- Email support@tezcredit.com (Mon to Sat, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM). TezCredit has no customer-care phone line.
- Next, go to the grievance officer, Ms. Shradha Jain. Use grievance@tezcredit.com or +91 92119 91861, Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM.
- If that fails, write to Yasmin Tabbassum, who handles grievances for Finagle, on grievance@finaglenbfc.com or +91-8796101685.
- The final step inside the company is Finagle's Principal Nodal Officer, Suhail Sheikh, at pno@finaglenbfc.com or +91-9289387600.
- Unresolved after 30 days? Take it to RBI's Integrated Ombudsman through cms.rbi.org.in, or phone 14448.
- Threats, edited photos and cash taken by a fake agent are crimes. Call 1930 straight away.
All these contacts sit on one page: TezCredit customer care.
Is TezCredit right for you?
TezCredit may work for a salaried person aged 21 to 58 who earns at least ₹18,000 a month. You'd also need 3 months of salary credits with your current employer. Its lender is registered and names the app, which many small apps can't claim.
Skip it if the KFS shows a tenure of weeks, or an APR far above the 50% the listing advertises. For monthly EMIs, compare quotes from Lendingplate, Moneyview or Stashfin. Our complete TezCredit review scores it in detail, and you can browse all our loan app reviews.
Frequently asked questions
Is TezCredit real or fake?
TezCredit is real. It is the in-house app of Finagle Financial Services Private Limited, an NBFC in RBI's register as on 30 September 2026. Finagle lends the money itself and lists TezCredit on its own website. We found no RBI caution or police action. The real concerns are pricing, missing payouts and padded reviews.
Is Tez Credit RBI approved?
RBI registers lenders, not apps. TezCredit's lender, Finagle Financial Services, is serial 2321 in RBI's NBFC register as on 30 September 2026, with the New Delhi office. Its company number matches the one on the TezCredit site. We couldn't open RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory, so the app's own listing there is unconfirmed.
What does a TezCredit loan really cost?
The listing says 12% to 36% a year and an APR of up to 50%. On top come a fee of up to 5% and a conversion fee of up to 2%. Its own ₹30,000 example has an APR of 41.47%. Several reviewers, though, report loans of about a month at 1% a day. Your KFS shows your real cost.
What is the TezCredit customer care number?
TezCredit lists no phone number for customer care. You reach support by writing to support@tezcredit.com (Mon to Sat, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM). The only phone number is the grievance officer's: +91 92119 91861, for Ms. Shradha Jain, on weekdays from 10 AM to 6 PM. Finagle's own grievance officer is on +91-8796101685.
How do I deal with TezCredit recovery calls or fake agents?
Under TezCredit's fair practice code, nobody should call you about recovery before 8 a.m. or after 7 p.m. Its recovery partners are Aarvify and Credgenics. Note the number and time of any bad call, then complain to grievance@tezcredit.com. A caller who threatens you or wants money in a personal UPI ID should be reported on 1930.
Can I cancel a TezCredit loan?
The FAQ says a disbursed loan cannot be cancelled. But TezCredit's own fair practice code, and RBI's digital lending rules, give you a cooling-off window. In it, you can exit penalty-free by repaying the principal plus proportionate APR. Ask support for the exit amount in writing as soon as the money lands.
Is TezCredit connected to Google Pay or the old Tez app?
No. Google's Tez was a UPI payments app that became Google Pay in 2018, and it doesn't lend. TezCredit is a separate loan app run by Finagle Financial Services. If a message mixes the two names to offer you a loan, treat it as suspicious and use only the Play app.
