SimplyCLICK SBI Card Review: 10X Online Points for a ₹499 Fee
SimplyCLICK SBI Card is a ₹499 (plus GST) online shopping card that gives 10 Reward Points per ₹100 at 11 partner brands and 5 per ₹100 on other online spends, with each point worth ₹0.25 against your bill. SimplyCLICK SBI Card at a glance
SimplyCLICK is the entry card in SBI Card's range for people who buy things online. It is issued by SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited on Visa or Mastercard, costs ₹499 a year plus GST, and almost all of its value sit in online spending. Our SBI Card hub shows where it fits in the lineup.
The three things that matter most
- 10X at partner brands. Apollo 24x7, BookMyShow, Cleartrip, Domino's, GyFTR, IGP, Myntra, Netmeds, Swiggy, Tata CLiQ and Yatra earn 10 points per ₹100, which is 2.5% back, and SBI Card's rewards terms says there is no capping on these partners.
- 5X on other online spends. 5 points per ₹100, or 1.25%, up to 10,000 such points in a calendar month.
- Offline is an afterthought. 1 point per ₹100, only 0.25%, and some categories earn nothing.
What changed between 2024 and 2026
Rent stopped earning points on 1 April 2024, government transactions on 1 June 2024 and digital gaming on 1 December 2024. On the partner side IGP joined the 10X list on 10 February 2025 and Tata CLiQ on 20 March 2026. Swiggy have had a bumpy ride: a notice cut it to 5X from 1 April 2025, but the current terms list it, with GyFTR, as a 10X partner from 1 August 2025.
The change cardholders feel most is on redemption. From 1 April 2026 statement credit comes only in multiples of 4,000 points (₹1,000), so small balances just waits now until they cross that line.
Status: active and open to applications, and a secured SimplyCLICK Advantage version exists for SBI fixed deposit holders at the same fee. For cards from every bank sorted by need, see our credit cards guide.
SimplyCLICK fees and charges, explained
Annual fee and the ₹1 lakh waiver
The joining fee is ₹499 and the renewal fee from the second year is also ₹499. GST at 18% is extra, so the real bill is ₹499 plus ₹89.82, that is ₹588.82. Add-on cards are free, and the first-year fee comes almost fully back as a ₹500 Amazon Pay Gift Card.
SBI Card reverses the renewal fee if you spent ₹1,00,000 or more in the previous card year. Divide by 12 and that is about ₹8,334 a month. Someone who puts groceries, food orders and a phone bill on the card usually get there; someone using it for the odd online order will pay every year.
Interest and late payment
Revolving a balance is a costly price to pay here: 3.75% a month, or 45% a year, since 1 November 2024, and the 20 to 50 interest-free days apply only if the last bill was paid in full. Late fees run from nil on dues up to ₹100 to ₹1,300 when more than ₹50,000 is due, with ₹100 extra each cycle once the minimum due is missed two cycles running, taxes extra. Those slabs were revised from 1 May 2026.
Cash, forex and over-limit
Cash withdrawal costs 2.5% with a minimum of ₹500, plus interest from the same day, so ₹10,000 from an ATM costs ₹500 at once (2.5% is only ₹250). The 3.5% forex markup also hits rupee payments of ₹1,000 or more abroad or to merchants registered overseas; a ₹20,000 hotel bill costs ₹700 plus GST extra, which is not small money. Over-limit fee is 2.5% of the excess, minimum ₹600, only if you opted in.
Rent, bills, wallets, education, fuel and transport
- Rent: ₹199 plus GST per payment.
- Utilities: 1% on the total once a cycle's utility payments cross ₹50,000 (since 1 December 2024).
- Wallet loads above ₹1,000, and education fees paid through third-party apps: 1% each since 1 November 2025, paying the school or college directly costs nothing.
- Fuel: from 1 December 2026, 1% on all fuel spends of a cycle above ₹50,000. The 1% surcharge waiver on fills of ₹500 to ₹3,000 stay, capped at ₹100 a statement cycle.
- Transport: from 1 December 2026, 1% on each transaction above ₹30,000.

SimplyCLICK rewards, point value and three worked examples
Earn rates, caps and exclusions
Partner spends earn 10 points per ₹100, other online spends 5 and everything else earn 1. At ₹0.25 a point that is 2.5%, 1.25% and 0.25%. The 5X cap of 10,000 points a month bites only after ₹2,00,000 of non-partner online spend (10,000 divided by 5, times ₹100), so few people reaches it.
Small print matters. Cleartrip and Yatra bookings through affiliate channels don't earn 10X, e-gift vouchers earn 10X only on the GyFTR SimplyCLICK portal, and utility bills paid on SBI Card's own app earn just the base point. Merchant EMI reverses points, and fuel, rent, wallets, government, gaming and cash earn none.
What a point is worth
The published value is statement credit at 4 points for ₹1. Since 1 April 2026 it comes in blocks of 4,000 points, up to 60,000 points (₹15,000) a calendar month, and each redemption costs ₹99 plus GST, which is ₹116.82. One 4,000-point redemption therefore pays ₹883.18, about 22 paise a point, so points it is better to let pile up and redeem together. Catalogue and voucher values are not published. Points lapse after 24 months.
Welcome and milestones
- ₹500 Amazon Pay Gift Card after the first-year fee of ₹499 is paid.
- ₹2,000 Cleartrip or Yatra e-voucher at ₹1 lakh of online spends in a year, and another at ₹2 lakh; SBI Card picks the brand.
- Renewal fee reversed at ₹1 lakh of total spends.
Three worked examples
Each example assumes one statement cycle a month and only eligible spends.
| Monthly spend | Light | Typical | Heavy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partner brands at 10X | ₹2,000 | ₹8,000 | ₹20,000 |
| Other online at 5X | ₹2,000 | ₹7,000 | ₹20,000 |
| Offline at 1X | ₹4,000 | ₹10,000 | ₹20,000 |
| Points a month | 340 | 1,250 | 3,200 |
| Point value a year | ₹1,020 | ₹3,750 | ₹9,600 |
| Milestone vouchers | None | ₹2,000 | ₹4,000 |
| Renewal fee | ₹588.82 paid | Reversed | Reversed |
Light, ₹8,000 a month. 200 points from partners, 100 from other sites and 40 offline make 340 a month, 4,080 a year, worth ₹1,020. ₹8,000 times 12 is ₹96,000, ₹4,000 short of the waiver, so the ₹588.82 fee will be charged and the net gain was ₹1,020 less ₹588.82, or ₹431.18. About ₹334 more a month (₹4,000 over 12 months) would have saved it.
Typical, ₹25,000 a month. 800 plus 350 plus 100 gives 1,250 points a month, 15,000 a year, worth ₹3,750. Online spends of ₹15,000 a month make ₹1,80,000 a year, earning one ₹2,000 voucher, and ₹25,000 times 12 is ₹3,00,000, which reverses the fee. About ₹5,750 a year, and no fee.
Heavy, ₹60,000 a month. 2,000 plus 1,000 plus 200 gives 3,200 points a month, 38,400 a year, worth ₹9,600. With ₹40,000 online a month, or ₹4,80,000 a year, both vouchers come, so the year totals ₹13,600 with the fee reversed. The 5X cap don't come near at 1,000 points a month.

Who can get SimplyCLICK and how to apply
Salaried applicants must be 21 or older, self-employed applicants above 25 for an online application, and retired pensioners above 40 can apply online. On maximum age the bank contradict itself, showing 60 years in one place and 70 in another. Income has to be stable, but SBI Card publishes no minimum for this card; its card finder lists it under "Less than 50K" a month, which is a browsing filter, not a rule.
Documents
PAN and a copy of Aadhaar with the first 8 digits masked (or any valid government address proof) for digital KYC, plus a salary slip or ITR if SBI Card asks.
Ways to apply
Apply on SBI Card's website, through its chatbot ILA, on 39 02 02 02 with your city STD code, or at a SBI branch. Since 23 September 2026 SBI fixed deposit holders can also get the secured SimplyCLICK Advantage on the YONO app; SBI Card does not publish the FD amount or the limit against it, and secured cards charge 2.75% a month (33% a year). For help, see our SBI customer care page.
What SBI Card looks at
- Positive credit history and a score preferably between 750 and 900.
- An address SBI Card services. An SBI account is not mandatory, though SBI Card says it may help.
- RBI makes issuers assess your own financial means and the limits you already holds elsewhere, and a rejection must come with reasons in writing.
Approval and the credit limit is SBI Card's decision alone.

Who gains from SimplyCLICK and who should skip it
The person who gain most is spending ₹8,000 to ₹25,000 a month with a good share on Swiggy, Myntra, BookMyShow, Domino's or Cleartrip. They get 2.5% on brands they use anyway, a fee that cancels itself after ₹1 lakh a year and a ₹2,000 travel voucher on top. For a ₹499 card that is fair.
Skip it if you mostly pay at shops, pumps or by UPI. Offline earns 0.25%, fuel nothing, and with no RuPay variant stated it can't go on UPI. For groceries and dining in stores, the sister SimplySAVE SBI Card gives 10X on those categories at the same fee. Travellers get no lounge and a 3.5% markup, which makes foreign spends more costlier than on travel cards.
Many people discuss about points versus cashback, the maths here is simple. These points are worth ₹0.25 only as statement credit, in blocks of 4,000 with a ₹99 fee, while SBI Card's CASHBACK card pays 5% online in cash for ₹999. If most online spends are outside the 11 partners, cashback usually wins.
Pros
- 10 points per ₹100 (2.5% value) at 11 partners including Swiggy, Myntra and BookMyShow, with no cap stated
- Renewal fee of ₹499 reversed at ₹1 lakh of yearly spend, about ₹8,334 a month
- A ₹500 Amazon Pay gift card after the first-year fee almost cancels the joining cost
- Two ₹2,000 Cleartrip or Yatra e-vouchers at ₹1 lakh and ₹2 lakh of yearly online spend
- Free add-on cards for family members
Cons
- Offline spends earn just 1 point per ₹100, worth 0.25%
- Statement credit only in blocks of 4,000 points since 1 April 2026, with a ₹99 plus GST fee each time
- No airport lounge access and a 3.5% forex markup
- No RuPay variant stated, so it cannot be used for credit card UPI
- Rent, wallet loads, government payments, gaming and fuel earn no points
SimplyCLICK compared with similar online cards
Three cards chase the same online shopper, on the things that decides value.
CASHBACK SBI Card. The CASHBACK SBI Card costs ₹999 plus GST, waived at ₹2 lakh a year, and pays 5% on online spends with no merchant list up to ₹2,000 per statement cycle, plus 1% offline up to another ₹2,000. On ₹10,000 of non-partner online spend a month it gives ₹500, while SimplyCLICK gives 500 points worth ₹125. That ₹375 a month gap beats the ₹500 fee difference (₹999 less ₹499) easily.
HDFC Bank Millennia. The Millennia Credit Card charges ₹1,000 plus GST with the same ₹1 lakh waiver. It pays 5% on 10 merchants including Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and Swiggy, up to 1,000 CashPoints a month, and 1% elsewhere up to another 1,000, at ₹1 a CashPoint with a ₹50 fee per redemption. On Amazon and Flipkart it beats SimplyCLICK's 1.25% by a long distance.
Flipkart Axis Bank. The Flipkart Axis Bank card costs ₹500 plus GST, but the waiver needs a ₹3.5 lakh of spending. It pays 7.5% on Myntra and 5% on Flipkart and Cleartrip, each capped at ₹4,000 a statement quarter, 4% on Swiggy, Uber and PVR, and 1% on the rest.
