Bharat Loans App Real or Fake? BharatLoan's Lenders and Red Flags

People who search "Bharat Loans" usually mean BharatLoan, a personal loan app on Google Play. It is real: Solomon Capital Private Limited, an NBFC registered with RBI, runs the app and lends through it. Devmuni Leasing & Finance, another registered NBFC, is named as a second lender. We found no RBI caution or Play ban naming any of them.

Safe is a harder call. On Play, BharatLoan offers at least 61 days to repay at a fixed 35% APR. Its own website calculator, though, charged 1% a day, and borrowers describe loans due in about two weeks. So before you e-sign, check that your Key Fact Statement shows 61 days or more and an APR of 35% or less.

Five things to know first

  • Registered lender: Solomon Capital is serial 7121 in RBI's NBFC list (September 2026 data), filed under the New Delhi office.
  • Second lender: Devmuni Leasing & Finance is serial 1877 on the same list. It ran BharatLoan until at least December 2025.
  • Missing link: neither lender's own website names BharatLoan among the apps it works with.
  • Clashing prices: Play says a fixed 35% APR, while the website calculator showed 486.67%.
  • Odd ratings: five-star reviews arrive in sudden bursts, while most detailed reviews are one-star.

The lenders behind BharatLoan, old and new

BharatLoan has changed hands on paper. Through late 2025, its website called it "a brand unit of" Devmuni Leasing & Finance Limited, and its terms were an agreement with Devmuni. Devmuni has been listed with RBI since October 2002, under number B-14.02719. That's why the app's Play package name still carries "devmunifin".

By April 2026, the website footer said BharatLoan "operates under" Solomon Capital Private Limited. Solomon is now the developer on Google Play, and the listing says loans come from Solomon and partner NBFCs named on its website. Solomon's RBI certificate is N-14.03320, first issued on 21 September 2015 and reissued on 21 January 2025 after a change of name.

Here is the gap. Solomon's lending partner page lists other apps, such as Rupee on time, BrightLoans and Loan112, but not BharatLoan. Devmuni's page lists only Loan112. When a lender names an app on its own site, you know the tie is real, so this missing mention matters.

Don't confuse BharatLoan with BharatPe, a different business that our BharatPe credit line review covers. It is also unrelated to Bharat Financial Inclusion, the microfinance arm of IndusInd Bank.

Does RBI recognise BharatLoan? Steps to check

RBI keeps a list of lenders, not of apps. So the job is to find the lender's name, then find that name in RBI's list. This is how we went about it.

  1. Get the lender's name. The Play description names Solomon Capital Private Limited and gives its certificate number. The website footer adds Devmuni Leasing & Finance.
  2. Download RBI's list of registered NBFCs. Ours was dated 15 October 2026, with data as on 30 September. RBI's server timed out twice, so we used an Internet Archive copy.
  3. Match each entry. Solomon is serial 7121 and Devmuni is serial 1877, both under New Delhi. Neither takes public deposits, and both sit in the base layer.
  4. Visit each lender's website. We read Solomon's and Devmuni's pages on lending partners, grievances and more. Neither one mentions BharatLoan.
  5. Search RBI's lending apps directory. It refused our connection, so BharatLoan's entry there is unconfirmed.
  6. Read your own KFS. The lender named on your Key Fact Statement and loan agreement is the one you owe. Note it down.

One more snag. BharatLoan's own website blocked our reader with a bot check, so we used archived copies from April 2026 and earlier. The live site may have changed since, and RBI's list of cancelled registrations wouldn't load either.

Sachet, RBI's public portal, is where you can flag a firm lending without permission. Use it for any BharatLoan "offer" that reaches you outside the app. Our guide to checking any loan app with RBI explains the general method.

BharatLoan charges: the Play terms and the website calculator

BharatLoan has put out two very different sets of prices. The Play listing, updated on 15 October 2026, describes one kind of loan. The website calculator, in its April 2026 copy, describes another.

The Play example is an ordinary EMI loan. Take ₹50,000 for 365 days at a 35% APR. After the ₹1,000 fee and ₹180 GST, ₹48,820 lands in your account. You then pay ₹4,998 a month for 12 months, which is ₹59,978 in total and ₹9,978 in interest.

Borrowers describe something else. One reviewer, on 6 October 2026, wrote of 1% interest a day on a ₹21,000 loan. They received ₹18,400 and had to pay back ₹28,000 in 30 days. That's ₹9,600 for one month, close to what the Play example charges for a full year on more than twice the money.

The website adds more versions. Its FAQ talks about "daily interest", and an apply page from October 2025 offered 1 to 3 years at a 2% fee. With this many price lists, your KFS is the only one that counts. If it shows interest by the day or a due date within weeks, it isn't the loan Play describes.

What makes people call BharatLoan fake

The doubts are not just rumour. Several come straight from BharatLoan's own pages:

  • Loans shorter than promised. Play says BharatLoan doesn't offer loans due in full within 60 days. Yet reviewers on 28 June and 27 October 2026 say they had only 15 or 16 days.
  • A public shaming clause. The FAQ warned that a defaulter could be named publicly, including on their own social media accounts.
  • Data answers that clash. Play's Data safety page says the app shares SMS, personal info, files and app activity with third parties, including for marketing. The same page says no data is collected.
  • Broad data terms. The October 2025 terms listed SMS, browsing history and login details for third-party platforms as user data.
  • Mixed contact details. BharatLoan's site names Tarun Kumar Saxena as grievance officer, while Solomon names Harshit Kumawat. The Plot 498 address also shows up with different floors.
  • "No credit check" claims. The home page promised loans with no credit check, yet the apply page asked for a fair CIBIL score.

Other parts are normal. PAN, ID and address proof, three months of bank statements and a photo are standard KYC, and so is a credit check. A fee cut from the payout is normal as well, provided the KFS spells it out.

BharatLoan reviews and the 4.3 rating

On 30 October 2026, Play showed BharatLoan at 4.3 stars from about 34K reviews, with 50L+ downloads. We read the 3,000 newest reviews, from 8 August to 29 October 2026. The pattern was hard to miss.

Most five-star ratings landed on a handful of busy days. On 23 days with 20 or more five-star reviews, 2,418 of the 2,480 five-star ratings arrived. On 15 September 2026 alone there were 313, and on the remaining days one-star reviews beat five-star ones by 317 to 62.

The burst reviews are short and samey, such as "Smooth application process:" with odd punctuation. One long five-star review appears word for word under at least two names. A five-star reviewer on 21 August 2026 even claimed the reviews were bought. We can't prove that, but the pattern doesn't look natural.

The one-star reviews tell a steady story. People report 1% a day interest, about 10% plus GST taken up front, and loans due in 15 to 45 days. A review from 11 August 2026, marked helpful by 72 people, says agents contacted the writer's HR, family and friends. Another says calls and messages began up to 15 days before the due date.

Payouts are a sore point too. On 23 October 2026, one borrower was still waiting 10 hours after being told funds would arrive "within 10 minutes". There is praise as well: a 16 October 2026 reviewer said BharatLoan helped when other apps had turned them down. We couldn't verify any of these claims, and the developer rarely replies.

Fake BharatLoan links, agents and recovery calls

A real app with harsh recovery can still be copied by scammers. Protect yourself this way:

  • Install from Google Play only. The real app is BharatLoan by Solomon Capital, with 50L+ downloads. Don't install a file sent over WhatsApp or SMS. The iPhone listing we tried no longer loads.
  • Pay nothing to get a loan. The fee comes out of the payout. A demand for money before disbursal is a scam.
  • Repay only through the official link. BharatLoan's site tells borrowers to use its secure repayment link and not to make direct bank payments. Never send money to a personal UPI ID.
  • Verify the caller. BharatLoan's care line is +91-8282824-644. Its contact page lists Shakti Singh Shekhawat as Chief Collection Officer, on +91-9355231761.
  • Save the evidence. If an agent calls your family, employer or friends, keep call logs and screenshots of every message.

Complaints: where to take a BharatLoan problem

Start with the app, move up to the lender, then go to RBI. Put every complaint in writing and keep copies.

  1. BharatLoan care: call +91-8282824-644 or email care@bharatloan.com. The site claims support runs 24/7.
  2. Solomon Capital, level 1: email care@solomoncapitals.com. Each level has up to 10 days to reply.
  3. Level 2: write to Karamjit Singh, who heads customer care (care.head@solomoncapitals.com).
  4. Level 3: escalate to Harshit Kumawat, Solomon's grievance officer, at grievance@solomoncapitals.com. Solomon aims to settle every complaint within 30 days.
  5. RBI Integrated Ombudsman: if nothing is fixed in 30 days, lodge it at cms.rbi.org.in or dial 14448.
  6. Threats or fraud: dial 1930, and go to the police if you are threatened.

BharatLoan's own contact page named a different grievance officer, Tarun Kumar Saxena, on the care number above. Write to both if you get no answer. Our BharatLoan customer care page gathers these contacts, and our care number directory covers other lenders.

Should you borrow from BharatLoan?

BharatLoan may work for a salaried or self-employed borrower aged 25 or more whose KFS matches the Play terms. That means a 35% APR, at least 61 days and a fee of 2% or less. If you can repay early, the Play listing says there's no prepayment penalty.

Skip it if your offer shows daily interest, a 10% fee or a due date within weeks. Skip it, too, if the thought of agents calling your family or boss worries you. Lenders that name their apps and publish all their charges are easier to hold to account.

For a regulated option of similar size, compare Moneyview, KreditBee or Stashfin. For our scores and the full list of red flags, read our full BharatLoan review.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Bharat Loans app real or fake?

BharatLoan is a real app, not a fake one. Its operator, Solomon Capital, is a registered NBFC, and Devmuni Leasing & Finance is named as a second lender. It has 50L+ downloads on Google Play. But its prices clash across its own pages and neither lender lists it on their website, so treat it with caution.

Is BharatLoan RBI registered? Which NBFC lends?

RBI registers lenders, and both of BharatLoan's are in its list with data as on 30 September 2026. Solomon Capital Private Limited is serial 7121, with certificate N-14.03320. Devmuni Leasing & Finance Limited is serial 1877, with certificate B-14.02719. RBI's lending apps directory refused our connection, so the app's own entry is unconfirmed.

What does a BharatLoan loan really cost?

The Play listing quotes a fixed 35% APR, with a fee capped at 2% plus 18% GST. Its sample loan of ₹50,000 over 12 months has a monthly EMI of ₹4,998. But the website calculator showed 1% interest a day, a 10% fee and an APR of 486.67%, and many borrowers describe that version. Your KFS shows the real price.

What is the BharatLoan customer care number?

As of October 2026, BharatLoan gives its care line as +91-8282824-644, with care@bharatloan.com for email. Next comes Solomon Capital's three-level route: care@solomoncapitals.com, then care.head@solomoncapitals.com, then grievance@solomoncapitals.com for Harshit Kumawat. Solomon's main number is +91-9319690083. After 30 days without a fix, you can turn to the RBI Ombudsman.

BharatLoan agents are calling my family. What can I do?

You don't have to put up with threats or messages to your contacts. Save call logs, numbers and screenshots, then write to Solomon's grievance officer at grievance@solomoncapitals.com with details of each call. If it carries on past 30 days, complain at cms.rbi.org.in or on 14448. Report threats or extortion on 1930.

Can I cancel or prepay a BharatLoan loan?

The Play listing says there's no prepayment penalty, so repaying early can cut your interest. BharatLoan's October 2025 terms let you cancel within 24 hours of payout by repaying the principal. We couldn't read the live site, so ask support to confirm the current rule in writing before you count on it.

Is BharatLoan the same as BharatPe?

No. BharatLoan belongs to Solomon Capital, a Gurugram NBFC, and has nothing to do with BharatPe or its credit products. It is also separate from Bharat Financial Inclusion, the IndusInd Bank microfinance arm. On Google Play, the real BharatLoan app shows Solomon Capital as its developer.
