Rupee112 Loan App Real or Fake? Five NBFCs and One Lender Puzzle

Rupee112 is a working loan app, not a fake one. The lender it names today is Aadhar India Finvest Limited, an NBFC on RBI's register. The catch? Rupee112's pages name four more NBFCs. Its store listings also named another lender as recently as April 2026. So it is real, yes. How safe it is depends on what your loan papers say.

Before you accept any offer, open the Key Fact Statement (KFS) and check three things. It should name the lender and show the processing fee. Rupee112 gives that fee as 10% on some pages and 2% on others. It should also show a term of at least 61 days. What follows is as of 30 October 2026.

Rupee112: the short version

  • Is it real? Yes. It has 5,000,000+ downloads on Google Play.
  • Main lender: Aadhar India Finvest Limited, RBI registration B-14.03543, at Sl. 51 on RBI's list as on 30 September 2026.
  • The puzzle: its partner page names five NBFCs, yet none of them openly lists Rupee112 on its own website.
  • Cost: up to 2.9% a month (35% APR), plus a fee of 2% or 10% and GST, depending on the page.
  • Reviews: 4.3 stars, with five-star bursts that look planted and many one-star posts about recovery calls.

Who runs Rupee112? One brand, several lender names

On paper, Rupee112 is the lending brand of Aadhar India Finvest Limited. The site footer names Aadhar as its lending partner, with RBI registration No. B-14.03543. Since at least the 4 September 2026 update, Aadhar has also been the Play developer.

The history is messier. The package name, com.vrindafinlease.rupee112, still carries the name of Vrinda Finlease Limited. An Internet Archive copy of the Play page from 22 January 2026 shows Vrinda as developer. That page said Rupee112 operated under Dev-Aashish Capitals Private Limited. An iPhone listing saved on 8 April 2026 also named Dev-Aashish, with certificate No. B-14.01763.

Today, Rupee112's partner page calls the app a platform that connects you with NBFCs and banks. It lists five companies:

  • Aadhar India Finvest Limited (B-14.03543)
  • Dev-Aashish Capital Private Limited (B-14.01763)
  • Devmuni Leasing & Finance Limited (B-14.02719)
  • Vrinda Finlease Limited (B-14.00701)
  • Solomon Capital Private Limited (N-14.03320)

Rupee112 also has a sister app, Loan112. Aadhar's own site lists Loan112 with Rupee112's care number, +91-7835019091.

How we checked Rupee112 against RBI's records

We ran these checks on 30 October 2026, and you can repeat each one.

  1. Note the lender on the app's pages. The footer and the Play listing both name Aadhar India Finvest Limited.
  2. Search the NBFC register. Aadhar is at Sl. 51 in the list as on 30 September 2026, with RBI's New Delhi office. RBI classes it as an investment and credit company in the base layer, with no public deposits.
  3. Match the details. The register gives CIN U65921HR1989PLC091303. Its Gurgaon address, Q-86, South City, is the one Rupee112 uses.
  4. Check the other four names. Dev-Aashish (Sl. 1868), Devmuni (Sl. 1877), Vrinda (Sl. 8313) and Solomon Capital (Sl. 7121) are all on the same list.
  5. Read each lender's own app list. RBI expects a lender to report every lending app it uses, its own or a partner's. This is where Rupee112 falls short.
  6. Search RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory. It refused our connection, so we couldn't confirm Rupee112 there. Try it yourself.

Step 5 is the weak spot. Aadhar's own list of lending apps shows only Loan112. A Rupee112 entry exists on that page, but only inside hidden code. It names Dev-Aashish as lender and Solomon Capital as the service provider. Vrinda's page lists Rupee112 under the same pair, with an unfilled template email. Dev-Aashish's own page lists only an app called BLINKR LOAN.

So all five companies are real, registered NBFCs. But as of October 2026, none of them openly shows Rupee112 on its own website. We also couldn't open RBI's list of cancelled registrations. We found no reports of bans or police action against Rupee112 or its lenders. For a fuller walkthrough of these steps, see our guide to checking a loan app with RBI.

The FAQ (₹5,000 to ₹1,20,000) and the About page (up to ₹1,50,000) give yet other limits. The homepage also says rates vary with your risk profile, which doesn't fit a "fixed" APR.

Play's example is built on the 2% fee. On ₹50,000 over a year, ₹48,820 is paid out after the ₹1,000 fee and ₹180 GST. The EMI is ₹4,998, the total repaid is ₹59,978 and interest is ₹9,978.

The examples that use the 10% fee cost a lot more:

  • Homepage: ₹25,000 for 3 months at 35% APR. Interest is ₹2,182, and the total due is ₹29,682. That total includes the 10% fee of ₹2,500.
  • Apply page: ₹50,000 for 3 months, with flat interest of 2.9% a month on the full sum. That's ₹4,350 of interest. Add the ₹5,000 fee and you repay ₹59,350.

Flat interest means you pay on the whole loan, even as you pay it down. And a 10% fee on a loan of a few months can't fit inside a 35% APR.

There is a short cooling-off window. Rupee112 says you can cancel within 24 hours of disbursal by repaying the principal.

Reasons Rupee112 looks suspicious to some borrowers

  • Changing lenders. Vrinda, Dev-Aashish and Aadhar have each been named as operator or lender within 2026.
  • "No upfront fees". Play says this, yet a processing fee is cut before the money reaches you.
  • "No CIBIL check". A marketing page says low scores get easy approval. But the terms allow credit report pulls, and the rate page links APR to your CIBIL score.
  • A data label that contradicts the policy. Play says no data is collected or shared. Its privacy policy says SMS content goes to third parties, and installed-app details go to a firm called Credeau.
  • Location claims. The terms claim a right to track you even after you uninstall. The privacy policy says location access is one-time only.
  • Documents by email. One page asks applicants to email KYC papers and salary slips to info@rupee112.com.
  • A missing iPhone app. The website links to an App Store app that returned "not found" on 30 October 2026.
  • Short loans in reviews. Several one-star reviews describe one-month or 31-day loans, below the 61-day minimum. These are user claims we couldn't verify.

Some things here are perfectly normal. A fee taken at payout is standard for digital loans. So are PAN and Aadhaar checks, a selfie and three months of bank statements.

Rupee112 Play Store reviews: 4.3 stars, read closely

On 30 October 2026, Rupee112 had 4.3 stars from 32,752 ratings and 5,000,000+ downloads. It was last updated on 4 September 2026. The star split is lopsided: 26,669 five-star and 5,310 one-star ratings, with very few in between.

We pulled the 4,000 newest reviews, from 29 June to 29 October 2026. Five-star posts came in waves. There were 610 on 29 June, 168 on 15 September and 199 on 26 September. From 21 to 29 October, 130 to 216 arrived daily, while quiet days had 1 to 7.

The 300 newest were all from 27 to 29 October, and 295 of them gave five stars. Most were short lines like "good app overall" and "sahi app hai", repeated word for word. Templated praise ran on 18 October 2026, and some five-star posts were about other products. On 15 October 2026 one reviewer claimed the praise was paid for. We judge these waves to be inorganic.

The one-star reviews show a clear pattern:

  • Cost: on 17 October 2026, a borrower said they got ₹15,000 but owed ₹24,120 after one month.
  • Recovery calls: reviews from 14, 15 and 23 October 2026 describe abuse, calls before the due date and calls to relatives.
  • Money not credited: on 20 October 2026, a loan showed as paid out but hadn't reached the account after 24 hours.
  • Prepaying: on 11 October 2026, a user said paying early didn't cut the interest, despite what staff had said.
  • Bait offers: on 27 October 2026, a user saw a "pre-approved" pop-up, then was told they weren't eligible.

Some users are pleased. On 19 September 2026 one said they got a loan within 15 minutes in an emergency, though the interest was high.

Fake Rupee112 apps and calls: what to watch

  • Check the package. The genuine app is com.vrindafinlease.rupee112, now listed by AADHAR INDIA FINVEST LIMITED. Don't install an APK from a link.
  • Be wary of iPhone links. The App Store app linked from the site was gone on 30 October 2026.
  • Know the family. Loan112 is a sister app from the same group. RupeeRedee and other "Rupee" apps are unrelated.
  • Pay nothing up front. Rupee112 deducts its fee from the loan. A request to pay first, by UPI or into a personal account, is a scam sign.
  • Insist on the agent's details. Under RBI rules, a recovery agent's details must reach you by email or SMS before that agent contacts you.
  • Upload only in the app. Don't email documents to an address a caller gives you.

RBI's digital lending rules also bar lending apps from reading your contact list or call logs. An app or agent quoting your contacts back to you is a warning sign.

Rupee112 complaint numbers and the RBI route

Work down this list in order:

  1. Customer care: +91-7835019091 or care@rupee112.com. Play lists a different number, +91-91125-39112, and the site links WhatsApp on 9355388936. The support page promises a reply within 24 to 48 business hours.
  2. Rupee112's grievance officer: Sharad Adhikari, on +91-9355500814 or grievance@rupee112.com.
  3. The lender's officer: Aadhar's own pages name Sushil Kumar Poddar as grievance and nodal officer, on +91-9355954464 and grievance@aadharindiafinvest.com. Rupee112's pages name Divya Agnihotri instead.
  4. RBI: with no reply in 30 days, file at cms.rbi.org.in or call 14448. Name the lender shown in your KFS.
  5. Threats or fraud: report on 1930, the national cybercrime line, and at your nearest police station.

The lender in your KFS decides whose officer must answer. All of these contacts are also on our Rupee112 customer care page.

Is Rupee112 worth it?

Rupee112 may suit a salaried person aged 21 to 55 who earns over ₹30,000 a month. Go ahead only if the KFS names one lender, a fee you accept and at least 61 days.

Skip it if you want one clear price up front, or if a missed date could bring calls to your family. It's worth comparing offers from Hero FinCorp, Bajaj Finserv and Prefr first. For our scores and verdict, read our full Rupee112 review.

Frequently asked questions

Is Rupee112 real or fake?

Rupee112 is real. It has been on Google Play since 2023, and it names Aadhar India Finvest Limited, an RBI-registered NBFC, as its lender. The worry is clarity, not existence. The site lists five NBFCs, and no lender openly shows Rupee112 on its own app list. Check the lender's name in your KFS before you sign.

Is Rupee112 RBI approved?

RBI registers lenders, not app brands. Rupee112's main lender, Aadhar India Finvest Limited, holds registration B-14.03543. It appears at Sl. 51 on RBI's NBFC list as on 30 September 2026. The other four NBFCs on its partner page are on that list too. RBI's app directory didn't open for us, so search it yourself.

What does a Rupee112 loan really cost?

That depends on the page you read. Interest is up to 2.9% a month, and the APR is given as 35%. The fee is 10% plus GST on the homepage, but 2% plus GST on Play. Late payment costs 0.25% a day on overdue principal, and a NACH bounce costs ₹500. Your KFS shows the real total.

What is the Rupee112 customer care number?

The website gives +91-7835019091 and care@rupee112.com. The Play listing shows +91-91125-39112 instead, and the site links WhatsApp on 9355388936. For complaints, write to the grievance officer, Sharad Adhikari, at grievance@rupee112.com, or call +91-9355500814. The support page promises replies within 24 to 48 business hours.

What can I do about Rupee112 recovery harassment?

RBI's rules say you must get an agent's details by email or SMS before that agent calls. Ask for them, and save every call and message. Then complain to grievance@rupee112.com and to the lender named in your KFS. Threats to you or your contacts can go to 1930 and the police. After 30 days, go to RBI.

Can I cancel or close a Rupee112 loan early?

Yes. Rupee112 says you can cancel within 24 hours of disbursal by repaying the principal. After that, its site says there are no preclosure charges. One reviewer says paying early didn't lower the interest, so get the exact payoff figure in writing first. Keep the receipt, and ask for a no-dues letter once it's closed.

Is Rupee112 the same as Loan112?

They are separate apps from the same group. Aadhar India Finvest's own site lists Loan112, with Devmuni Leasing as its lender. It even gives Loan112 the same care number as Rupee112, +91-7835019091. Whichever app you use, the lender in your KFS is the company you owe. It must also handle your complaints.

Why does my Rupee112 loan name a different lender?

Rupee112's partner page lists five NBFCs, so your papers may name one other than Aadhar India Finvest. A platform with several lenders can work that way. What matters is that the KFS names a registered NBFC that will take your complaints. Check that name on RBI's list. If it isn't there, don't sign.
