Reliance SBI Card PRIME at a glance
Reliance SBI Card PRIME is the higher of the two cards SBI Card issue with Reliance Retail, the group behind AJIO, JioMart and the Reliance stores; the basic Reliance SBI Card at ₹499 is not reviewed here. It is active, on Mastercard or RuPay, applications are open online, and the RuPay version work for UPI.
Start with the point value, because it change how every number reads. Four Reward Points are worth ₹1 and can only be redeemed for Reliance Retail vouchers. So 20 points per ₹100 on AJIO and JioMart is 5%, 10 points at other participating Reliance stores is 2.5%, 5 points on dining, movies, domestic flights and international spends is 1.25%, and the 2 points on everything else is only 0.5%.
What decides its value
- Your Reliance share. If AJIO, JioMart and Reliance stores is a small part of your spending, the card earns 0.5% on most of it.
- The vouchers. A ₹3,000 voucher for paying the joining fee, ₹11,999 of discount vouchers, and ₹8,750 of vouchers at ₹3 lakh a year.
- Lounges. 2 domestic visits a quarter and 4 international visits a year, with no spend condition stated.
Changes from 2024 to 2026

- Mid-2024: no points on government payments, from 15 June 2024 by the card's terms or 15 July 2024 by SBI Card's co-brand list.
- 1 October 2025: AJIO and JioMart raised to 20 points per ₹100.
- 10 January 2026: domestic visits only at lounges on SBI Card's Set B list, which name 30 lounges.
Fees and charges on Reliance SBI Card PRIME
The joining fee is ₹2,999 and the renewal fee is ₹2,999 every year, plus taxes. With 18% GST that's ₹539.82 more (₹2,999 times 18%), so ₹3,538.82 in all. Add-on cards are free. Paying the joining fee bring a ₹3,000 Reliance Retail voucher, which roughly covers the fee if you shop at Reliance anyway, plus ₹11,999 of discount vouchers from participating stores within 30 days. Discount vouchers are not cash; they only save money on what they covers.
Reaching the ₹3 lakh reversal
The renewal fee is reversed on ₹3 lakh of spends in the preceding year, ₹25,000 a month (₹3,00,000 divided by 12), and the same ₹3 lakh brings ₹8,750 of milestone vouchers. A family who shop on AJIO and JioMart and puts groceries and bills on this card can reach it, but someone using it for an odd AJIO order pays ₹3,538.82 a year for a 0.5% card.
Interest, late fees and cash
Interest is 3.75% a month, which is 45% a year, on any balance not cleared in full. Late fee slabs goes from nil (dues up to ₹100) to ₹1,300 (dues above ₹50,000), with ₹100 more each cycle after two missed minimums in a row. Cash withdrawals cost 2.5%, minimum ₹500, and draw interest from the day you withdraw.
Other charges
- Forex: 3.5%, the same on rupee payments of ₹1,000 or more to overseas merchants, while international spends earn only 1.25%.
- Rent ₹199 plus taxes per payment; utilities 1% when a cycle's total pass ₹50,000.
- Wallet loads above ₹1,000 and education via third-party apps: 1% from 1 November 2025. Transport above ₹30,000 a transaction and fuel above ₹50,000 a cycle: 1% from 1 December 2026.
- Fuel surcharge waiver: 1% on fills of ₹500 to ₹4,000, but only up to ₹100 a statement cycle.
- Priority Pass visits beyond the free ones: up to USD 27 plus taxes each.

Points, vouchers and what three shoppers get
The earn table, valued at ₹0.25 a point:
- AJIO and JioMart online: 20 points per ₹100, so 5%, except UPI payments; no cap stated.
- Other participating Reliance Retail stores: 10 points per ₹100, 2.5%, no cap stated. Pay there by UPI on the RuPay card and you get only 2 points, 0.5%.
- Dining, movies and entertainment, and domestic airlines, their flights to international destinations included: 5 points per ₹100, 1.25%, capped at 7,500 points a statement cycle.
- International spends: 5 points per ₹100, under a separate 7,500-point cap.
- Everything else: 2 points per ₹100, 0.5%.
The 7,500 cap is worth ₹1,875 (7,500 divided by 4) and needs ₹1,50,000 of dining, movie and flight spends in a cycle (7,500 divided by 5, times ₹100), so almost nobody reach it. No points on fuel, wallet loads, rent, government payments, merchant EMI and Flexipay, cash or balance transfers. Points last 24 months.
Points become Reliance Retail vouchers only, at 4 to ₹1; SBI Card publishes no other voucher value. The product terms states no redemption fee, and SBI Card's general ₹99 fee covers physical products, statement credit and vouchers sent physically. Each month there is one free BookMyShow ticket up to ₹250 on one transaction, convenience fee payable, so up to ₹3,000 a year (₹250 times 12). The ₹8,750 milestone line on the card page adds "at participating Reliance Retail Stores", so it may count only Reliance spends, and the examples show both readings.
Light shopper: ₹20,000 a month
₹4,000 on AJIO and JioMart earns 800 points, ₹3,000 at Reliance stores by card 300, ₹2,000 of dining and movies 100, ₹9,000 of other spends 180 and ₹2,000 of fuel nothing. That's 1,380 points a month, worth ₹345 (1,380 divided by 4), or ₹4,140 a year. ₹2,40,000 a year miss the reversal, so the ₹3,538.82 fee leaves just ₹601.18 (₹4,140 minus ₹3,538.82); a movie ticket every month would add up to ₹3,000.
Typical shopper: ₹40,000 a month
₹8,000 on AJIO and JioMart (1,600 points), ₹6,000 at Reliance stores by card (600), ₹3,000 at Reliance stores by UPI (60), ₹6,000 on dining, movies and flights (300), ₹15,000 elsewhere (300) and ₹2,000 of fuel (nil) give 2,860 points: ₹715 a month, ₹8,580 a year. ₹4,80,000 of yearly spends clears the reversal. The milestone is the open question. If every spend count, add ₹8,750 for ₹17,330; if only Reliance spends count, ₹17,000 a month (₹8,000 plus ₹6,000 plus ₹3,000) is ₹2,04,000 a year and falls short.
Heavy shopper: ₹80,000 a month
₹15,000 on AJIO and JioMart (3,000 points), ₹12,000 at Reliance stores (1,200), ₹20,000 on dining, movies and domestic flights (1,000), ₹5,000 abroad (250), ₹26,000 elsewhere (520) and ₹2,000 of fuel (nil) make 5,970 points, ₹1,492.50 a month or ₹17,910 a year. Reliance spends of ₹27,000 a month come to ₹3,24,000 a year, so the ₹8,750 milestone arrives on either reading, ₹26,660 in vouchers (₹17,910 plus ₹8,750), with the fee reversed. The ₹5,000 abroad cost ₹175 of markup (3.5%) against ₹62.50 of points earned on it.
| Shopper | Monthly spend | Points value a year | Milestone vouchers | Fee from year two |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light | ₹20,000 | ₹4,140 | None | ₹3,538.82 |
| Typical | ₹40,000 | ₹8,580 | ₹8,750 only if all spends count | Reversed |
| Heavy | ₹80,000 | ₹17,910 | ₹8,750 | Reversed |

Eligibility and applying for Reliance SBI Card PRIME
SBI Card's common age rules applies: 21 and over for salaried applicants, above 25 for the self-employed applying online, and above 40 for retired pensioners. For the upper age, the same listing page says 60 in one section and 70 in another. No income figure is published for this card. SBI Card wants a stable income and says the minimum differ by card, and its card finder shows Reliance PRIME under the "50 to 99K" monthly income filter, which is only for browsing.
Keep your PAN, an Aadhaar copy with the first 8 digits masked (or other government address proof) and, if asked, a salary slip or income tax return. Apply online from the card page, through the ILA chatbot, on 39 02 02 02 with the city STD code first, or at an SBI branch; you do not need an SBI account. Pick the RuPay variant if you will pay merchants by UPI, remembering that UPI at Reliance stores earns 2 points per ₹100 instead of 10.
SBI Card prefers a score between 750 and 900, a positive credit history and a home in a location it services. As an NBFC issuer it follows the RBI's 2025 card Directions for NBFCs, which require an independent look at your repayment capacity, a one-page Key Fact Statement and written reasons for any rejection. Reliance Retail, the co-brand partner, markets the card but have no say in approval.

Is Reliance SBI Card PRIME right for you?
It earns its fee for families whose shopping run through Reliance: JioMart groceries, AJIO clothes and regular trips to Reliance stores, with dining and a few domestic flights on top. Such a household crosses ₹3 lakh a year, gets the fee back and the ₹8,750 vouchers, and use the lounges and the monthly movie ticket.
For anyone else the numbers turns quickly. Outside Reliance the card pays 0.5%, and every point ends as a Reliance Retail voucher, never as cash. Spending abroad is a loss: a ₹50,000 trip costs ₹1,750 of markup (3.5% of ₹50,000), while the 2,500 points it earn are worth ₹625. The fuel waiver stops at ₹100 a cycle, and UPI at Reliance stores earns a fifth of the card rate (2 points against 10).
- Gains most: AJIO and JioMart regulars, Reliance store shoppers who pay by card, and people who use lounges every quarter.
- Should skip: shoppers loyal to Amazon, Flipkart or Tata brands, frequent foreign travellers, and anyone who want cashback.
- Look at SBI Card PRIME instead if your big spends are dining and groceries in general, not Reliance in particular.
Pros
- 20 points per ₹100 on AJIO and JioMart, worth 5%
- 10 points per ₹100 at other participating Reliance Retail stores, worth 2.5%
- ₹3,000 welcome voucher plus ₹11,999 of discount vouchers
- ₹8,750 of vouchers and a fee reversal on ₹3 lakh of yearly spends
- 2 domestic lounge visits a quarter and 4 international visits a year
Cons
- Points can be redeemed only for Reliance Retail vouchers
- Most spends outside Reliance earn 2 points per ₹100, just 0.5%
- UPI payments at Reliance stores earn 2 points per ₹100 instead of 10
- 3.5% forex markup against 1.25% earned on international spends
- High ₹2,999 plus GST fee and a fuel waiver capped at ₹100 a cycle

Its welcome gift is a ₹3,000 e-gift voucher from brands such as Yatra, Bata and Pantaloons, and ₹5 lakh of yearly spends brings a ₹7,000 voucher.
The Tata Neu Infinity SBI Card costs ₹1,499 plus GST, also reversed at ₹3 lakh, and pays 5% as NeuCoins on Tata Neu and Tata brands with 1.5% on other spends, three times Reliance PRIME's 0.5%. Its forex is 1.99%, and domestic lounges need ₹75,000 of spends in the previous quarter.
The Flipkart SBI Card is the low-cost choice at ₹500 plus GST: 7.5% cashback on Myntra, 5% on Flipkart and 1% on most other spends, paid to the statement, with no lounges.
