What the Cookies card is
Cookies is RBL Bank's online shopping card for people who live on a handful of apps. Its headline is 10% cashback on Zomato, Myntra and Uber, each capped at ₹300 a calendar month, so up to ₹900 in all. Other online purchases earn 5 reward points per ₹100 and in-store purchases 1 point per ₹100, and RBL say a point is worth up to ₹0.20 when redeemed.
The card is active and comes on Mastercard or Visa. There is no RuPay version, so linking it to UPI is not possible to do.
The things that matter
- A monthly fee, not a yearly one. RBL charges no joining fee as such. The ₹100 plus GST membership fee start from the very first month, and the next month's fee is waived whenever you spend ₹5,000 in a calendar month.
- Caps on the 10%. Cashback applies only to transactions above ₹100 and stops at ₹300 per brand, which you reach at ₹3,000 of spend with each.
- Vouchers do the heavy lifting. A ₹1,000 welcome voucher, another ₹1,000 voucher at ₹2 lakh of yearly spend and a ₹5,000 one at ₹5 lakh.
Recent changes
On 17 October 2025 the late payment fee became 12.5% of whatever is outstanding, never under ₹5 and never over ₹1,300. RBL's schedule of charges (version of 4 June 2026) also add a 1% charge for FASTag recharges and tolls where a single payment crosses ₹10,000, from 7 January 2026. Those are the only dated changes in RBL's documents for this card.
By RBI's September 2026 count, RBL Bank had 4,716,637 credit cards outstanding, up from 4,585,190 a year before. The rest of its long lineup is on our RBL Bank cards page.
Cookies fees and charges
For cards issued after 10 May 2021 the membership fee is ₹100 a month plus GST, charged from the first month, and there is no annual fee. With 18% GST each month cost ₹118. Older Cookies cards, which was issued before 10 May 2021, pay ₹500 a year instead. An add-on card costs ₹200.
Keeping the fee at zero
The waiver works month by month. Make eligible transactions of ₹5,000 or more in a calendar month and the next month's ₹100 is waived. Fall short and you pay ₹118 the month after. Miss every month for a year and the card costs ₹1,416 (₹118 times 12), so a steady ₹5,000 spender pay only the first month's ₹118.
RBL's terms speak of eligible transactions for this waiver, so plan your ₹5,000 around shopping, food and cab spends rather than fuel, utility bills or rent, which the card treats as excluded spends.
Interest and penalties
RBL prices interest by risk, up to 3.99% a month (47.88% a year). Its MITC sets 3.35% a month (40.20% a year) for a bureau score above 775, 3.85% for 725 to 775 and 3.99% below 725. Pay late and RBL takes 12.5% of your outstanding as a fee, between ₹5 and ₹1,300, but only if the account is still past due after 3 days. On ₹8,000 outstanding that's ₹1,000, and the ₹1,300 ceiling starts to apply above ₹10,400 (₹1,300 divided by 12.5%).
Cash advance cost 2.5% of the amount, minimum ₹500, with finance charges from the day you withdraw. Over-limit fee is not there at all on RBL cards.
Usage fees and forex
- Foreign currency mark-up: 3.5%.
- Rent (MCC 6513): 1% of the amount.
- Utilities: 1% on monthly utility spend above ₹50,000 per card.
- Fuel and auto spends over ₹10,000 in one go: 1%, capped at ₹3,000 per transaction.
- School or college fees paid via third-party apps: 1%, though paying on the institution's own website or card machine costs nothing.
- FASTag top-ups and tolls: 1% if a transaction is more than ₹10,000 (in force since 7 January 2026).
- Merchant EMI processing: 1.5% or ₹150, whichever is higher; cash payment at an RBL branch ₹100; cheque or auto-debit return ₹500.
GST at 18% applies to all of these. The fuel surcharge waiver covers fills from ₹500 to ₹4,000 and is capped at ₹150 a month, though fuel earns no points.

How Cookies rewards work
Three earn rates apply. Zomato, Myntra and Uber transactions above ₹100 get 10% cashback, up to ₹300 per brand per calendar month. Other online purchases earn 5 reward points per ₹100 with no cap stated, RBL calls it unlimited. In-store purchases earn 1 point per ₹100.
RBL's card page says you can redeem up to ₹0.20 a point. At that best rate, online points are worth 1% and offline points 0.2%. Points not redeemed within 24 months expire, and RBL charge ₹99 plus GST (₹116.82) once for all redemptions made on the same day, so saving up and redeeming in one go is the sensible way.
Nothing is earned on rent, wallets, utilities, railways, fuel and auto, insurance, quasi-cash, education, government, contracted services, cash, MCC 5960, Bills2Pay, EMI conversions and fees.
Vouchers and extras
The welcome voucher is worth ₹1,000, from Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Croma or Shoppers Stop, if you transact within 30 days and pay the first month's fee. The card page promise it within 60 days of issuance while the product terms say 90 days, so allow up to 90. A ₹1,000 voucher comes at ₹2 lakh of eligible spends in a membership year and a ₹5,000 voucher at ₹5 lakh. There's also a 10% instant discount on BookMyShow, up to ₹300, once a month.
Three worked examples
Points are valued at RBL's stated maximum of ₹0.20. Cashback on the three brands counts as cash, and those brand spends are not given points as well, because RBL don't confirm that both apply.
Light: ₹6,000 a month
| Spend | Amount | Earns |
|---|---|---|
| Zomato | ₹1,500 | ₹150 cashback |
| Uber | ₹1,000 | ₹100 cashback |
| Other online | ₹1,500 | 75 points (₹15) |
| In-store | ₹2,000 | 20 points (₹4) |
| Total | ₹6,000 | ₹269 |
A year brings ₹3,228 (₹269 a month). Each month crosses ₹5,000, so only the first month's ₹118 fee is paid, and the ₹1,000 welcome voucher more than cover it.
Typical: ₹15,000 a month
| Spend | Amount | Earns |
|---|---|---|
| Zomato | ₹3,000 | ₹300 cashback (cap) |
| Myntra | ₹2,000 | ₹200 cashback |
| Uber | ₹1,500 | ₹150 cashback |
| Other online | ₹4,500 | 225 points (₹45) |
| In-store | ₹4,000 | 40 points (₹8) |
| Total | ₹15,000 | ₹703 |
That is ₹8,436 a year against one ₹118 fee. Yearly spend is ₹1,80,000, which is ₹20,000 short of the ₹2 lakh milestone, so one large purchase would add a ₹1,000 voucher.
Heavy: ₹45,000 a month
| Spend | Amount | Earns |
|---|---|---|
| Zomato | ₹5,000 | ₹300 cashback (cap) |
| Myntra | ₹4,000 | ₹300 cashback (cap) |
| Uber | ₹3,000 | ₹300 cashback (cap) |
| Other online | ₹20,000 | 1,000 points (₹200) |
| In-store | ₹13,000 | 130 points (₹26) |
| Total | ₹45,000 | ₹1,126 |
Cashback is maxed at ₹900, and ₹3,000 of the Zomato and Myntra spend earn nothing extra (₹2,000 plus ₹1,000 above the ₹3,000 per-brand mark). The year comes to ₹13,512, plus the ₹5,000 voucher because ₹5,40,000 crosses ₹5 lakh, so about ₹18,512 before one ₹116.82 redemption fee and the ₹118 first-month fee. RBL's terms list the ₹2 lakh and ₹5 lakh vouchers separately without saying both are paid, so only the ₹5,000 one is counted.

Applying for Cookies
RBL Bank publishes no age or income criteria for the Cookies card. The only age band RBL puts out is 21 to 70 for its IndianOil cards, which tells nothing about Cookies. So whether you qualify is decided entirely inside RBL's own assessment.
What you'll need
- PAN, a mandatory field on the application.
- Identity checks by any route RBL offers: Aadhaar e-KYC, a video call, biometrics, offline KYC, or your CKYC record if one exists.
- Your net monthly income, declared on the form.
How to apply
Apply online with the Apply Now link on RBL's Cookies page. RBL says processing take as long as 20 days after it has complete KYC and details from you. You can pick Mastercard or Visa, and an existing cardholder can ask for the other network by calling +91 22 6232 7777; the toll-free number in the MITC is 1800 102 6222.
What RBL looks at
The RBI's 2025 Directions for commercial banks require RBL to weigh your credit risk against your own financial means and to factor in the limits you have elsewhere, using your declaration or bureau data. They lay down no minimum age or income; that is left for the bank. Since RBL prices interest by bureau score, a score above 775 also bring the lowest rate of 3.35% a month.
A Key Fact Statement should come along with the application, and a rejection must carry specific reasons in writing. RBL alone decide whether to issue the card and how big the limit is. If the card isn't activated in 30 days, RBL has to ask for your OTP consent before keeping it open, and the account can't be reported to bureaus before activation.

Who Cookies works for
Cookies is made for a narrow but common habit: ordering on Zomato, shopping on Myntra and booking Uber rides. If you spend ₹3,000 a month on each, you collects the full ₹900, and the rest of your online spend earns 1% in points. With ₹5,000 a month on the card, the fee costs nothing after the first month.
It also suits a young professional who wants a cheap starter card with a voucher in hand, since the ₹1,000 welcome voucher is more than the ₹118 first-month fee.
Skip it if your spending are mostly in shops, where 0.2% is all you get, or if you have lean months below ₹5,000, because each of those cost ₹118 the following month. Fuel, utility and rail spends earn nothing, there's no lounge, and forex costs 3.5%.
The trade-off is attention for value. The 10% caps reset every calendar month and work per brand, so the card pays best for someone who spreads spending across all three apps and keeps an eye on the ₹5,000 mark. Compare it with our best credit cards for online shopping and the guide to shopping and co-brand cards, or browse the credit cards hub.

Cookies against other online shopping cards
The table on this tab compares the numbers. Here is where each of them win.
SBI SimplyCLICK
The SimplyCLICK SBI Card has a yearly ₹499 plus taxes fee, reversed on ₹1 lakh of spend. It gives 10 points per ₹100 with partners including Myntra, Swiggy and BookMyShow, which at 25 paise is ₹2.50 per ₹100, and 5 points elsewhere online up to 10,000 points a month. A ₹500 Amazon Pay gift card is coming after the fee gets paid, and ₹2,000 travel vouchers come at ₹1 lakh and ₹2 lakh of online spend.
Swiggy Ornge HDFC Bank
The Swiggy Ornge HDFC Bank card pays 5% on Swiggy and a long list of online merchants that includes Myntra and Uber, capped at ₹1,500 per billing cycle, and 1% elsewhere up to ₹1,000. The ₹500 fee is waived from the second year on ₹1.5 lakh of spend. Its 5% is half the 10% on Cookies, but the cap is far bigger.
Axis Bank MY Zone
The Axis MY Zone card lists ₹500 a year in its MITC and is offered lifetime free on Visa till 31 December 2026 as a limited-period offer. It earns 4 EDGE points per ₹200, about 0.4% at ₹0.20 a point, and gives 1 domestic lounge visit a quarter after ₹50,000 of spend in the previous 3 months, which Cookies does not.
Which to pick
Pick Cookies if Zomato, Myntra and Uber are your main apps and you spend near ₹3,000 a month on each. Pick SimplyCLICK for wider online partners, Swiggy Ornge if Swiggy is your food app and you put more than ₹30,000 a cycle on its merchants (₹1,500 at 5%), and MY Zone if you want a fee-free card with a lounge visit while the offer last. RBL's own Platinum Maxima Plus is the bank's everyday rewards alternative.
