What MY Zone Easy is and who it is for
MY Zone Easy is a Visa credit card that Axis Bank issue against a fixed deposit you open with it. The deposit is marked under lien and the bank's FD card page puts the limit at up to 80% to 90% of it, without printing the exact share for this card. A ₹15,000 FD, the smallest it takes, would so give a limit between ₹12,000 and ₹13,500 (80% and 90% of ₹15,000).
No salary slip or ITR is asked, it's built for people who has money in the bank but no credit record yet: a college student, a homemaker, someone just starting freelance work. Our guide to secured credit cards explains how deposit-backed cards work in general.
Three things matter before you book the FD. The fee is ₹500 to join and ₹500 every year plus GST, with no spend target that removes it. Rewards are thin: 4 EDGE REWARD points per ₹200, and Axis doesn't say what a point is worth here, so only the movie cashback can be counted in rupees. And the online FD route is closed to anyone who holds a credit card or has held one before.
Status and recent changes
- The card is open for new applications as of 5 November 2026.
- 20 December 2024: Axis raised its standard card interest to 3.75% a month from 3.6%, while the MITC lists FD-secured cards like this one at 3.4%. The same round bring a ₹175 fee for paying cash at a branch and 1% fees on third-party education payments and on large utility, wallet, fuel and gaming spends.
- 28 August 2026: the markup on rupee payments abroad went to 3.5% from 1.5%, a ₹1,300 late fee slab arrived for dues above ₹50,000, gift cards became a separate category and tolls stopped earning rewards.
The rest of the range is on our Axis Bank credit cards page.
What MY Zone Easy costs to hold and use
Axis's Key Fact Sheet and the card page put the joining fee at ₹500 and the annual fee at ₹500. The card listing and FD page tiles show both as nil, but the Key Fact Sheet is the bank's own schedule of charges, so we go by it; check your first statement. With 18% GST each fee is ₹590 (₹500 plus ₹90). Add-on cards is free.
No waiver: what it takes to earn the fee back
There's no spend-based waiver, so no monthly target makes the ₹590 go away. The nearest payback is the movie offer: at 25% you need ₹2,360 of tickets in a calendar year to get ₹590 back (₹590 divided by 25%), about ₹197 a month (₹2,360 divided by 12). Points can't be counted this way because there value isn't published.
Interest, late fee and cash
Interest is 3.4% a month, 49.36% a year, lower than the 3.75% on most Axis cards but still a costly price for borrowing against your own money. ₹10,000 unpaid for a month costs about ₹340 (3.4% of ₹10,000) plus ₹61.20 GST (18% of ₹340). The interest-free period of up to 50 days only works when the previous bill was paid in full.
Late fees go by the amount still due: nil up to ₹500, ₹500 for ₹501 to ₹5,000, ₹750 for ₹5,001 to ₹10,000, ₹1,200 for ₹10,001 to ₹50,000 and ₹1,300 above ₹50,000. Miss the minimum two cycles running and ₹100 more is added each cycle until it's cleared. The card page still shows ₹1,200 as the top slab, the MITC has the ₹1,300 one.
Cash can be drawn up to 100% of the limit from day one, but it charge 2.5% with a ₹500 minimum plus 3.4% a month interest from the day of withdrawal, so anything below ₹20,000 pays the full ₹500 (₹500 is 2.5% of ₹20,000). Going over the limit costs 2.5% of the excess, minimum ₹500.
Forex and category fees
- Foreign currency spends 3.5%, and the same 3.5% on rupee payments at overseas locations or to merchants registered abroad.
- Rent (MCC 6513) 1% of each payment plus GST. Education fees through third-party apps 1%; paying the school or college on it's own website or card machine is exempt.
- 1% once a statement cycle crosses ₹25,000 of utilities, ₹10,000 of wallet loads, ₹10,000 of online skill-based gaming or ₹50,000 of fuel.
- Cash payment at a branch ₹175; a bounced cheque or failed auto-debit 2%, minimum ₹500; ₹99 per points redemption and ₹199 per transfer to a partner loyalty programme.

Points, the movie offer and what they are worth
Every ₹200 of domestic spending earns 4 EDGE REWARD points. Fuel earns none, movie tickets get cashback instead of points, and since 28 August 2026 tolls earn nothing. Axis doesn't publish a point value for MY Zone Easy, so we count your points but can't honestly turn them into rupees; check the EDGE REWARDS catalogue before planning around them.
Points expire three years after they are given, or sooner if the account sit unused for 365 days. Each redemption costs ₹99, or ₹116.82 with 18% GST (₹99 plus ₹17.82), so cashing small balances often is waste of money. There are no welcome points and no milestones.
The movie cashback is 25% on tickets bought online or at the box office from merchants coded MCC 7832 or 7922, up to ₹1,000 a calendar year. You hit the cap at ₹4,000 of tickets (₹1,000 divided by 25%), and after that movies earn nothing for rest of the year. Fuel fills of ₹400 to ₹4,000 get the 1% surcharge waived, up to ₹400 a statement cycle.
Three spenders, worked out
Student, ₹15,000 FD (limit about ₹12,000, 80% of ₹15,000), ₹5,000 a month: ₹4,400 on food, recharges and online shopping, ₹300 on movies, ₹300 on petrol. That's 22 lots of ₹200, so 88 points a month (22 times 4) and 1,056 a year (88 times 12). Movies return ₹75 a month (25% of ₹300), ₹900 a year (₹75 times 12). The ₹300 top-up is below ₹400, so it get no waiver. Result: ₹900 against the ₹590 fee, ₹310 ahead (₹900 minus ₹590), plus 1,056 points.
Salaried first-timer, ₹50,000 FD (limit ₹40,000 to ₹45,000, 80% to 90% of ₹50,000), ₹20,000 a month: ₹15,200 on groceries, dining, bills and shopping, ₹800 on movies, ₹4,000 on fuel. The ₹15,200 is 76 lots of ₹200 and gives 304 points a month, 3,648 a year (304 times 12). Movies at ₹200 a month use up the ₹1,000 cap by the fifth month (₹200 times 5). Fuel saves ₹40 a month (1% of ₹4,000), ₹480 a year (₹40 times 12). Rupee total ₹1,480 (₹1,000 plus ₹480) against ₹590.
Heavy user, ₹2,00,000 FD (limit ₹1,60,000, 80% of ₹2,00,000), ₹50,000 a month: ₹40,400 on shopping, travel, dining and bills, ₹1,600 on movies, ₹8,000 on fuel in two ₹4,000 fills. That's 202 lots of ₹200 (₹40,400 divided by 200), 808 points a month (202 times 4) and 9,696 a year (808 times 12). Movies at ₹400 a month (25% of ₹1,600) hit the cap in the third month. Fuel saves ₹80 a month (1% of two ₹4,000 fills), ₹960 a year (₹80 times 12). Rupee total ₹1,960 (₹1,000 plus ₹960) against ₹590. Very much spending is there but the cash part stays stuck at the movie cap.

Who can apply and how the FD works
Axis asks for an Indian applicant aged 18 or more with a valid PAN. Minors can't apply, and there is no income rule because the deposit does the job income proof would do, for salaried and self-employed people alike.
FD rules
- A deposit of ₹15,000 to ₹25 lakh with Axis Bank, marked under lien; the limit is up to 80% to 90% of it. Axis don't give the exact share card by card, so ask before you size the deposit.
- Tax-saver FDs, flexi (auto-sweep) deposits and FDs of an HUF, society, trust or company is not accepted.
- The FD can't be closed while the card is active, so only put in money you won't need while you hold the card.
- In the online FD journey, anyone who holds a credit card now, or has held one before, is not eligible.
Documents and the application
You verify Aadhaar and PAN online, book the FD and, if you're new to Axis, finish a short Video KYC call with a bank agent. The RBI treats video KYC on par with a face-to-face check, and a revolving card needs full KYC since an Aadhaar OTP e-KYC alone only support term loans of up to ₹60,000 a year.
An FD doesn't take the decision out of the bank's hands. RBI rules makes every issuer assess applicants independently, looking at their own financial means, and a rejected applicant must get the specific reasons in writing. For application or statement questions, see our Axis Bank customer care page.

| Card customer care | 1800 4030 / 1800 8911 (toll free; Retail Phone Banking) |
These are the bank's published conditions. Meeting them does not guarantee a card: approval and the credit limit are the bank's decision.
Is MY Zone Easy worth it for you?
It fits a narrow group well: you have savings to park, you've never had a credit card, and you see a film or two every month. For that person the movie cashback alone can cover the yearly fee while the card builds a repayment history. Axis customers who wants everything with one bank will like that the FD and card sit together.
Skip it if you already have a card, since the online route is shut for you. Skip it if you travel abroad, because a ₹30,000 trip costs ₹1,239 extra (3.5% of ₹30,000 is ₹1,050, plus ₹189 GST at 18%). And if you only want a credit history cheaply, a lifetime-free FD card does same job without ₹590 a year.
The trade-offs in short
You pay a fixed ₹590 a year for lower interest than most Axis cards (3.4% against 3.75% a month), a wide FD range up to ₹25 lakh and cash access up to the whole limit. In return the reward side is mostly guesswork, the movie cap comes quickly for regulars and the limit never passes 90% of your own money. Once salary slips are coming, an unsecured card make more sense and your deposit is free again.
Pros
- Takes an FD as small as ₹15,000 and as large as ₹25 lakh, with no income proof
- 25% cashback on movie tickets, up to ₹1,000 a calendar year
- Interest of 3.4% a month, below the 3.75% on most Axis cards
- Cash withdrawal up to 100% of the limit from day one
- Free add-on cards and a fuel surcharge waiver of up to ₹400 a cycle
Cons
- ₹500 joining and ₹500 annual fee plus GST, with no spend waiver
- Axis does not publish what an EDGE REWARD point is worth on this card
- ₹99 plus GST per redemption eats into small point balances
- 3.5% forex markup and 3.5% on rupee payments made abroad
- Online route closed to anyone who holds or has held a credit card
Other FD-backed cards to weigh against MY Zone Easy
Two of these ask for a deposit instead of income proof, the third is the natural next step. The table under this section lines up their numbers.
MY Zone Easy or Kotak Dream Different
Kotak's Dream Different starts from a ₹10,000 FD with a limit of 80% of it, charge a ₹424 joining fee and no annual fee, and pays 2% cashback in any cycle with ₹15,000 or more of eligible spends, capped at ₹500 a cycle. Its forex markup is 2% against 3.5% here. If you reach ₹15,000 a month, Kotak gives clear rupee value; if your spends are small and mostly movies, MY Zone Easy's cashback is easier to collect.
MY Zone Easy or ICICI Instant Platinum
The ICICI Bank Instant Platinum has no joining or annual fee and a limit of 90% of the FD, but its minimum deposit are ₹50,000 and the FD must run at least 180 days. It earns 2 points per ₹100, and ICICI too keeps the point value unpublished. Choose it if you can lock up ₹50,000 and want no yearly fee.
MY Zone Easy or Axis MY Zone
Once you have income to show, the unsecured Axis MY Zone is the natural move: the same ₹500 joining and ₹500 annual fee on paper, a lifetime-free offer on the Visa variant till 31 December 2026, a domestic lounge visit a quarter after ₹50,000 of spends in the previous three months, and Axis's general minimum income of ₹15,000 a month. Its interest is more higher, 3.75% a month. More options are on our credit cards hub.
