3 Lakh Loan Without Documents, Salary Slips - Eligibility & How to Apply

At ₹3 lakh, "without documents" seldom describes an unsecured app loan; lenders at that size still look for income signals and a credit score. The paperless route that works is a loan against investments: you pledge mutual fund units or a fixed deposit online, the lender marks a lien, and the limit follows the asset more than your pay. PAN, KYC, your bank account and the holdings are still checked. On our table's terms, ₹2,94,690 reaches you.

What could ₹3 lakh pay for, and is pledging better than selling?

₹3 lakh is a one-off bill of real size: a first-year college admission with the hostel deposit, fitting out a small shop, or clearing a credit-card balance that keeps growing.

If funds or deposits could cover it, pledging lets you pay without cashing out, and pledged units stay invested, so any rise in their value during the loan is still yours. Selling is cleaner when the money was saved for this very cost, or when repaying would take years: a pledge you can't clear only delays the sale and adds interest.

How much does ₹3 lakh cost at 13% and at 22%?

The table takes a 1.5% processing fee (₹4,500) and ₹810 GST at disbursal, so ₹2,94,690 arrives while interest accrues on all ₹3 lakh. Its 13% rows sit inside the range Business Standard reported in May 2026 for loans against mutual funds, about 9–10% to beyond 15%; the 22% rows fall within the 16–30% Unity SFB quotes for personal loans.

That gap is the case for pledging. Over 24 months, 13% costs ₹47,611 in all and 22% costs ₹78,833. At 22% over 36 months you would repay ₹4,12,457, a total cost of ₹1,17,767.

₹3 lakh: ₹4,500 fee + ₹810 GST = ₹5,310 upfront, ₹2,94,690 received · weekly = EMI × 12 ÷ 52.

What are the EMIs over one, two and three years?

At 13% the EMI is ₹26,795 over 12 months, ₹14,263 over 24 and ₹10,108 over 36, roughly ₹6,184, ₹3,291 and ₹2,333 a week. At 22% the same plans need ₹28,078, ₹15,563 and ₹11,457.

Some secured borrowing comes as an overdraft limit instead, with interest only on what you draw; ask which you're offered. Either way, leave room for a margin call: if pledged units fall, you may have to pay part of the loan back early. Late EMIs bring the penal charges listed in your KFS.

What still gets verified when the security is digital?

Pledging replaces the payslip, not the scrutiny. The lender confirms your identity through PAN and Aadhaar-based KYC, that the folio or deposit is in your name, and that the receiving bank account is yours. One lender's loan-against-funds page lists PAN, Aadhaar or address proof, bank details and access to your fund folio, and only schemes on a lender's own list qualify. For FD loans, one bank says the amount doesn't hinge on your income.

Unsecured, ₹3 lakh is harder: MoneyView wants salary credited to your bank and a CIBIL score of 650, Stashfin 730 or more with exceptions, and Unity SFB six months of statements.

Can OLYV, MoneyView, Stashfin, CASHe or Unity SFB beat a pledge loan?

All five are unsecured lenders in our data, the benchmark a pledge loan should beat. Each reaches ₹3 lakh, though that is CASHe's ceiling, and Unity SFB starts at ₹1 lakh. Tenure decides which rows apply: CASHe's tenure ends at 18 months and OLYV's at 24, leaving MoneyView (up to 60), Stashfin (48) and Unity SFB (12–36) for the 36-month plans.

Fees: OLYV 2–15%, MoneyView from 2%, CASHe between 2.5% and 6% (its site gives both), Unity SFB up to 4% (its FAQ says 3% plus e-franking), while Stashfin levies two, 2.85% (platform) and 3% (transaction), with GST on each. Only Unity SFB's range dips below the table's 1.5%. Stated income floors run from ₹10,000 at Unity SFB, under even the smallest EMI here, to ₹30,000 at CASHe.

How do you pledge funds or a deposit online?

It takes minutes on screen, but every step is a check:

  1. 1

List your holdings and their current value; equity funds usually support a smaller loan per rupee than debt funds.

  2. 2

Make sure the PAN, mobile number and bank account on your folios or deposit match what you give the lender; a mismatch can stall the pledge.

  3. 3

Pick a regulated lender, find its app in RBI's directory of digital lending apps, and confirm your schemes are on its approved list.

  4. 4

Select the units or deposit and approve the lien, typically with an OTP sent to your registered mobile.

  5. 5

Read the KFS: APR, fees, your limit as a share of the holdings, how a shortfall is handled, and penal charges.

  6. 6

E-sign and check that the money, ₹2,94,690 on our table's terms, reaches your own account.

  7. 7

After the final repayment, confirm the lien has been lifted from your folio or deposit.

What can go wrong when you borrow against investments online?

Markets are the main risk. When pledged units fall, the lender can demand a part-payment or extra units, and Business Standard reports borrowers may get only seven days; if you can't, the terms may let it sell pledged units. Borrow well below your limit.

Frauds follow the money, from lookalike apps to callers promising ₹3 lakh against your funds. A genuine lender never needs your folio password or an OTP read out to it; report such contacts on RBI's Sachet portal.

The digital-lending protections still apply: a KFS written in a language you can read, all charges inside the APR, at least a day to back out penalty-free, and a named grievance officer.

₹3 lakh loan without documents: FAQs

Can I redeem or switch pledged units before the loan is repaid?
Not the pledged ones. They sit under a lien, and Business Standard notes they can't be sold until the loan is cleared. Units you didn't pledge stay free. Pledged units remain invested, so gains during the loan are still yours; so are falls, which is what sets off margin calls.
Would an overdraft against an FD beat breaking it for ₹3 lakh?
Often. One bank's guide says FD loans range from 75% to 90% of the deposit and usually cost about two percentage points above the deposit's rate, so ₹3 lakh needs roughly ₹3.33 lakh to ₹4 lakh in deposits. Breaking an FD early usually costs part of its interest, and the overdraft leaves it intact.
How much cushion should I leave when pledging funds for ₹3 lakh?
More than you think: your limit shrinks with the units' value, and you may be asked to pay down some of the loan or add units, sometimes within days. Small-cap, sectoral and thematic funds swing harder and get lower limits, so pledging steadier funds and borrowing well under your maximum leaves a buffer.
If my funds secure the loan, can a missed payment still hurt my credit score?
Yes. Security doesn't keep a loan off your record: RBI's rules require lending through a regulated lender's app, or its partner's, to be reported to credit bureaus whatever its nature or tenure. A margin call you can't meet, followed by missed payments, will show; repaying on schedule builds your history.
Will I need to visit a branch to pledge an FD?
Usually not, if your bank offers it in its app. One large public-sector bank's app gives an overdraft of up to 90% of the FD at 1% above the deposit rate, with no processing charge, and two big private banks advertise up to 90% instantly. Insurance policy loans may still need a branch.
Can Unity SFB, listed here, lend against my deposit instead?
If the deposit is with Unity SFB, yes: its site says you can take an overdraft against the FD without breaking it. Its personal loan is the unsecured alternative: from ₹1 lakh, priced at 16–30%, with pre-closure barred for six months and charged at 5% of the outstanding later.
