Skip it if

IndusInd Bank as a card issuer
IndusInd is a mid-sized card bank with a long list of cards and fair number of them now retired. RBI's bank-wise statistics for September 2026, still provisional, put it at 29,74,248 credit cards outstanding. The September 2025 figure was 31,80,135, so the count have fallen by 2,05,887 cards (31,80,135 minus 29,74,248), a drop of about 6.5% (2,05,887 divided by 31,80,135). RBI's table gives the number only, not the reason behind it. Our review of the EazyDiner card is the first IndusInd card page we have published.
One rule shapes every IndusInd card: the MITC says the actual fee is conveyed to you at the time of application, and that welcome gifts are given only with select fee plans. So the fees on this page are the MITC figures, and the offer you get may be differ. Ask which plan you are on before you sign, especially on the premium cards.
The live range is very much wide. Tiger has no joining or annual fee. Jio-bp Mobility+ has a ₹499 joining fee that is levied only if you miss ₹10,000 of spend in the first 90 days. Platinum RuPay, Legend and Pinnacle follow a pay-once model, with a joining fee and no annual fee. EazyDiner (₹2,999 a year) and Avios Visa Infinite (₹10,000 to join, ₹5,000 a year) charge every year, and Pioneer Heritage asks a ₹1,00,000 joining fee and ₹25,000 a year, waived on ₹10 lakh of spend.
Discontinued and unreviewed cards
IndusInd's listing page marks these as discontinued: Poonawalla Fincorp eLITE RuPay, Club Vistara Explorer, Platinum Aura Edge for government employees, the four InterMiles cards (Odyssey and Voyage, each on Amex and Visa), Duo, Signature Visa, Platinum Select, Iconia on Amex and Visa, and Platinum Aura. That is 13 cards in all. The InterMiles tie-up itself has ended in August 2024, and for Club Vistara Explorer holders the MITC shows no joining or annual fee after 31 March 2025.
Still listed but not reviewed by us are Nexxt, Samman RuPay for government staff (1% cashback on retail spends up to ₹20,000 a cycle, ₹199 fee waived on ₹75,000), CRED IndusInd RuPay (₹499), the Platinum Visa and Master cards, Platinum Aura Edge, ePay Amex, Indulge, Crest, Celesta, Solitaire, Pioneer Private, Pioneer Legacy and a secured card against FD whose variant name the public pages does not give. One change touches all of them: air accident insurance on IndusInd credit cards stopped from 21 December 2025, even where an old page still mentions it. For how IndusInd compares with other banks, start at our credit cards hub.
Which IndusInd card for which need
IndusInd's cards don't line up neatly from cheap to costly, so it help to start from what you spend on. Point values differ by card and by redemption, which is why each note below converts points to rupees.
No fee at all: Tiger
Tiger, a co-brand with Tiger Fintech of the Bajaj Capital group, has nil joining and annual fees, and its points grows with your yearly spend. The first ₹1,00,000 in a card year earns 1 point per ₹100, the next slab to ₹2,50,000 earns 2, the slab to ₹5,00,000 earns 4 and anything above earns 6. At ₹0.40 a point that is 0.4%, 0.8%, 1.6% and 2.4%. IndusInd's own example: ₹6 lakh a year gives 20,000 points, which is ₹8,000 at ₹0.40 (20,000 times ₹0.40). Not bad at all for a card with zero fee, it has also 2 domestic lounge visits a quarter and a 1.5% forex mark-up. For more no-fee choices, see our IDFC FIRST Bank hub.
UPI: Platinum RuPay
Platinum RuPay works on UPI and gives 2 points per ₹100 on UPI and 1 point on other spends. At the cash credit value of ₹0.35 that is 0.7% on UPI, or 1.2% if you take non-cash redemptions at ₹0.60 (2 times ₹0.60). Careful with the fee: IndusInd is marketing it as lifetime free, but the MITC lists a ₹10,000 joining fee with no annual fee, and the card's FAQ also talks of a one-time joining fee. We are not putting it in any lifetime-free list until the bank clear this.
Fuel: Jio-bp Mobility+
This RuPay card, which also works on UPI, earns 12 Smiles per ₹100 at Jio-bp outlets, capped at 1,200 Smiles a statement cycle, so the cap comes at ₹10,000 of Jio-bp spend (1,200 divided by 12, times ₹100). Dining and grocery earn 5 Smiles. The value of a Smile is not published, so the listing's claim of up to 60 litres of free fuel a year cannot be check. The 1% surcharge waiver works only at Jio-bp pumps, and from 15 June 2026 a 1% fee applies once fuel spends cross ₹30,000 a cycle. Our SBI Card hub covers a fuel co-brand at BPCL for comparison.
Dining: EazyDiner
The EazyDiner Signature card costs ₹2,999 a year and all its value are in the dining discount. Paying through PayEazy on the EazyDiner app gives an extra 25% off up to ₹1,000 a transaction, with ₹2,000 a month available freely and ₹3,000 more if you spent ₹30,000 on non-dining in the previous month, so ₹5,000 a month at most. The 12-month EazyDiner Prime, 2,000 EazyPoints and ₹7,500 Postcard Hotel voucher come with the fee, though IndusInd ties welcome gifts to select fee plans. Read our EazyDiner IndusInd review for the full sum.
Weekend and online spends: Legend and Pinnacle
Legend earns 1 point per ₹100 on weekdays and 2 on weekends, worth ₹0.50 each as cash credit or ₹0.75 on other redemptions, so weekend spend returns 1% to 1.5% and points don't expire while the card is open. Pinnacle earns 2.5 points per ₹100 online at ₹0.75 a point, or 1.875%, but ask for income of ₹10 lakh a year if salaried and ₹12 lakh if self-employed. Lounge access on Legend ended on 7 March 2025.
Travel and premium: Avios Visa Infinite and Pioneer Heritage
Avios Visa Infinite pays 3 Avios per ₹200 normally and 6 per ₹200 at shops in the international destination you choose, where its forex mark-up is 1.5% instead of 3.5%. The welcome bonus is 20,000 Avios after the joining fee, plus 18,000 Avios at each of two ₹8,00,000 spend marks a year. Avios have no published rupee value. Pioneer Heritage is the top card: 0% forex, cash credit at ₹1 a point, 2.5 points per ₹100 abroad, and unlimited lounges on the current variant, but the card page has no Apply Now link and no eligibility neither.
Charges across IndusInd cards
IndusInd uses one MITC for its premium and regular cards, but interest, fuel thresholds and the DCC fee changes card to card. GST at the current rate is added on fees and charges. The tables below are taken from that MITC, read on 5 November 2026.
| Card | Interest a month | Interest a year |
|---|---|---|
| Legend, Platinum RuPay, Jio-bp Mobility+ | 3.95% | 47.40% |
| EazyDiner, Pinnacle | 3.83% | 46% |
| Tiger | 3.50% | 42% |
| Avios Visa Infinite | 3.00% | 36% |
| Pioneer Heritage | 2.99% | 36% |
Interest is calculate daily. Carry ₹30,000 for a month on Legend and you pay about ₹1,185 (3.95% of ₹30,000), that is big money for one month only. On Tiger the same balance costs about ₹1,050 (3.50% of ₹30,000).
Late fee slabs from 15 June 2026
| Late fee | Outstanding amount on the due date |
|---|---|
| No fee | ₹100 or less |
| ₹100 | between ₹101 and ₹500 |
| ₹500 | between ₹501 and ₹1,000 |
| ₹600 | between ₹1,001 and ₹5,000 |
| ₹750 | between ₹5,001 and ₹10,000 |
| ₹900 | between ₹10,001 and ₹25,000 |
| ₹1,100 | between ₹25,001 and ₹50,000 |
| ₹1,300 | over ₹50,000 |
The late fee is waived on Pioneer Heritage, Pioneer Private and Solitaire. IndusInd allows 3 days of grace past the due date before a late fee or a past-due report, that is matching what the RBI rules say.
Spend-based fees
- Rent through third-party apps: 1% plus GST on every payment, but not on Platinum RuPay, Avios, the Pioneer cards and a few others.
- Utilities: 1% plus GST on cumulative spends above ₹25,000 a statement cycle.
- Wallet loads: 1% plus GST above ₹20,000 a cycle, and for education through third-party apps the 1% start above ₹45,000.
- Fuel, from 15 June 2026: 1% plus GST above ₹30,000 a cycle on Legend, Platinum RuPay and Jio-bp Mobility+, and above ₹50,000 on Pinnacle, EazyDiner, Tiger and Avios.
- Transport other than air (MCC 4111, 4112, 4784, 4131), from 15 June 2026: 1% plus GST above ₹40,000 a cycle.
- Dynamic currency conversion, from 15 June 2026: 1% plus GST on Pinnacle, EazyDiner and Avios, 2% on Legend, Platinum RuPay, Jio-bp Mobility+ and Tiger, when you pay in rupees abroad or at a merchant registered overseas.
Cash, forex and redemption
Cash advances cost 2.5% with a ₹300 minimum, waived on Avios and Pioneer Heritage among others, and interest starts the same day. A ₹10,000 withdrawal on Legend costs ₹300, since 2.5% is ₹250 and the ₹300 minimum applies. The default forex mark-up is 3.5%; Legend charges 1.8%, Tiger 1.5% and Pioneer Heritage 0%. Redeeming points as cash credit costs ₹149 from 1 April 2025 and other redemptions ₹100, and cash redemption is capped at 50% of your balance with monthly limits of 2,500 points on Platinum RuPay, 5,000 on Legend and Tiger, and 7,500 on Pinnacle. Redeem small, pay fee every time, so better to collect and redeem in one go. A returned payment costs ₹250, and paying cash at a branch costs ₹100.
IndusInd card changes, 2024 to 2026
IndusInd has changed its cards often, and mostly in one direction: less free extras. Here are the dated changes from IndusInd's update notices and card pages, grouping by year.
2024
- 1 March: Legend points were revalued to ₹0.50 for cash credit and ₹0.75 for other redemptions.
- 5 May: fuel surcharge waivers were reset by card, for example ₹500 to ₹3,000 fills with a ₹100 cap on Legend, ₹500 to ₹4,000 with a ₹500 cap on Pinnacle, and no cap on Tiger, Avios and Pioneer Heritage.
- August: the InterMiles co-brand ended, and the Odyssey and Voyage cards was marked discontinued.
- 1 September: monthly caps on cash redemption of points began, at 2,500 points for Platinum RuPay up to 7,500 for Pinnacle.
- 5 October: Pioneer Heritage's forex mark-up went from 1.8% to 0%. On ₹2,00,000 of spending abroad that saves ₹3,600 (1.8% of ₹2,00,000).
- 15 November: the airport lounge list changed for Legend and Pinnacle.
- 15 December: Platinum RuPay's non-cash point value was cut from ₹0.85 to ₹0.60, and low-category spends stopped counting for Legend's 3,000-point milestone.
2025
- 7 March: Legend lost its lounge access, though its own page value table still count a Priority Pass membership.
- 13 March: Pinnacle's international lounge visits became one per quarter through Priority Pass outside India, and golf became 1 game and 1 lesson a month.
- 1 April: cash-credit redemption started costing ₹149, and Legend and Pinnacle stopped giving points on the part of a spend above each ₹100 multiple.
- 15 September and 5 October: the complimentary ITC Culinaire membership on the Pioneer Heritage Mastercard ended for new and then existing holders.
- 21 December: air accident insurance was discontinued on all IndusInd credit cards.
2026
- 10 March: Pioneer Heritage golf rose to 4 games and 4 lessons a month, a rare upgrade, one of the few one.
- 1 April: spend tracking began for spend-based domestic lounge access from the July 2026 quarter on Pinnacle, Indulge, Solitaire, Crest, Legacy and Celesta. Pinnacle needs ₹1,50,000 in the previous quarter, which is ₹50,000 a month (₹1,50,000 divided by 3).
- 15 June: new late fee slabs, the 1% fuel fee above ₹30,000 or ₹50,000 a cycle, the 1% transport fee above ₹40,000 and the 1% or 2% DCC fee all began.
For a Legend holder, the 2024 and 2025 changes together means no lounge, lower milestone value and a fee on cash redemption, so it is now mainly a weekend points card.
Eligibility and applying for an IndusInd card
Most IndusInd cards are applied for through Indus Easy Credit, the bank's online journey. You enter basic details, pick a card offer, sign digitally and finish Video KYC with your Aadhaar number and PAN. No physical documents are needed for this route, though you add a proof of residence if your current address differ from the Aadhaar one. On approval a virtual card can be generated at once and the plastic follows in about 5 days.
The general criteria on IndusInd's listing page are an age between 18 and 70, at least ₹20,000 a month in net income from a job or a business, and a good CIBIL score. Most card pages publishes nothing more specific. Pinnacle is the exception: it asks for ₹10 lakh a year if salaried and ₹12 lakh if self-employed, and wants PAN, Aadhaar, a photo, three months of salary slips and bank statements (or another bank's card details), or the latest ITR for self-employed people. Pioneer Heritage shows no eligibility and no Apply Now link, so it look like a relationship-led card.
Because the actual fee is conveyed at application, read the offer screen closely: the joining fee, whether a welcome gift is included and the fee plan name should all be there before you signs. The card finder on our compare page can help you shortlist before you apply anywhere.
Your rights as an applicant
The decision on approval rests with IndusInd alone, but the RBI's 2025 Directions set the ground rules for how it treats you.
- A Key Fact Statement comes with the application, and if you are rejected the bank has to give the specific reasons in writing.
- Your consent must be explicit; IndusInd cannot send a card, upgrade it or raise its limit on its own, and a limit cut need to be told to you.
- Nothing about the account goes to the credit bureaus until the card is activated.
- You may change your billing cycle at least once by picking a new start or close date.
- Closure must happen within seven working days of a request once dues are paid, or the bank owes you ₹500 a calendar day.
IndusInd also gives 7 days' notice before reporting a default to the credit bureaus.
IndusInd credit card customer care
IndusInd's 24-hour phone banking number is 1860 267 7777, and the bank also takes queries by email. For a lost or stolen card, call this number straight away: under RBI rules it has to be stopped at once, and you get a confirmation. Our IndusInd Bank customer care page lists the other numbers and routes in one place.
To close a card, IndusInd takes requests by email at its closure address as well as by phone. The bank has seven working days to close it after you clear your dues, and the MITC sets a payment of ₹500 for each day of delay when nothing is outstanding. Redeem your points before you close, since cash credit is capped at 50% of the balance and a monthly limit apply on most cards, so a large balance can take a few months to use.
For disputes, write in with the transaction details, keep the complaint number, IndusInd gets 30 days to give you an explanation, and no charge can be put on a transaction you flagged as fraud until the case closes. If you get no reply in 30 days, or the answer doesn't satisfy you, the next step is go to the RBI Ombudsman, which is free for cardholders.
