BrightLoans is a personal loan app run by Vimanotech India Private Limited, and the money comes from Avinash Capital Markets Private Limited, an NBFC on the RBI's register. The one thing to know first: the Play listing promises 61 to 365 days at a fixed 35% a year, yet the lender's own interest rate policy describes single-repayment loans of 7 to 45 days at up to 487% a year. What borrowers describe in their reviews sounds far more like the second version. We read the BrightLoans website and Play listing, the lender's own policies and the RBI register, and went through hundreds of recent Play reviews. Below you'll find what it really charges, who can apply, how to complain and why we'd stay cautious, as of October 2026.

Our Ratings

Disbursal speed 2.0/5

The lender promises money within minutes, but many late-October reviewers say e-signed loans sat unpaid for a day or more.

Interest & cost 1.0/5

The lender's own policy allows up to 487% a year and the website shows a fee of up to 10%, far above the 35% the listing quotes.

App experience 2.0/5

Recent reviews mention the app not opening, applications that reset to the start and repayment screens showing someone else's details.

Customer support 1.5/5

Borrowers report unanswered calls and emails, and the company's own pages give several phone numbers and two different grievance officers.

Safety & transparency 1.5/5

The lenders are RBI-registered, but clashing terms, wide data sharing and a location clause that outlives the app are serious worries.

Loan Details & Charges

Loan Amount ₹5,000 to ₹1,20,000
Interest Rate 35% to 487% a year
Tenure 7 days to 12 months
Processing Fee Up to 10% + GST
Late Payment Not published by BrightLoans ('as specified by the respective lending partner'). The lender's interest rate policy allows penal interest per day of delay on the overdue instalment and says no grace period is allowed. Borrowers (30 Aug and 26 Oct 2026) report 2% penalty interest per day.
Foreclosure Nil per the Play listing and rate page. One reviewer (22 Jun 2026) says interest kept running on the original amount after a part payment.

Eligibility Criteria

Age 21-56 years
Employment Salaried and self-employed (website product page); the Feb and Apr 2026 Play listing said salaried employees only
Documents PAN, Aadhaar or Voter ID (KYC), last 2 months' salary slips and last 3 months' bank statements (website how-it-works page); identity and address proof and a passport-size photo (earlier Play listing); Account Aggregator bank-data consent where applicable (current Play listing)

What It Actually Costs

Loan amount ₹10,000
Tenure 1 month
Monthly EMI ₹14,058
Total interest ₹4,058
Processing fee ₹1,180 (10% + 18% GST)
Total repayment ₹14,058

Illustrative: ₹10,000 repaid in one go after a month at 487% a year, the ceiling in Avinash Capital's own interest rate policy, with the 10% fee the BrightLoans website shows, so only ₹8,820 reaches your account. The Play listing's own example is much milder (₹50,000 over 12 months at 35%, EMI ₹4,998), but borrowers describe one-month loans instead.

Try the Bright Loans EMI calculator

Pros

  • The lender, Avinash Capital Markets, is on the RBI's list of registered NBFCs
  • A partner page names the lender, the LSP and a grievance officer, as RBI rules require
  • No prepayment charge, according to both the Play listing and the rate page
  • Fully digital application with Account Aggregator bank checks and no branch visit
  • Some repeat borrowers say approval was easy and the money arrived quickly

Cons

  • The lender's policy allows up to 487% a year, far above the 35% the listing advertises
  • Borrowers describe one-month loans with a 10% fee and 1% interest a day
  • Reports of recovery calls before the due date and to relatives and references
  • Data safety lists SMS, installed apps, location and photos as shared with third parties
  • Several reviews say a loan showed as paid out but never reached the bank account

Our Verdict

BrightLoans isn't an unregulated app. Avinash Capital Markets is a registered NBFC, and Unifinz Capital India, the second lender the website names, is on the RBI's list too. That's where the comfort ends. The Play listing, the website and the lender's own policy describe three different products, from a fixed 35% EMI loan to a 7 to 45 day payday loan at up to 487% a year. When the paperwork can't agree on the price, you won't know yours until the sanction letter arrives. The reviews fill in the rest. Borrowers describe one-month loans, a 10% fee, interest of 1% a day and penalties on top, plus calls before the due date and calls to relatives and references. Others say a loan showed as paid out but never reached their bank. The newest reviews are padded with short, generic five-star posts, so the 4.3 average tells you little. The terms even let the company keep tracking your location after you uninstall the app. Our advice: treat BrightLoans as a last resort, if at all. If you do apply, read the key fact statement line by line, check the due date and total repayment, and walk away if either differs from what the listing promised. A regulated lender with clear EMI terms will almost always cost you less.

Who Bright Loans suits

Borrowers who've been turned down by cheaper regulated lenders and need a small sum fast
People who can repay the whole amount within a month without strain
Anyone willing to read the key fact statement carefully before they e-sign

Look elsewhere if

You want a real EMI loan spread over several months at a predictable rate
You'd rather not have your SMS data, installed apps and location shared with third parties
You can't risk recovery calls reaching your family or references if a payment slips

Not sure the app is genuine? Is Bright Loans real or fake? How to check it yourself

Things to Watch

  • Tenure clash: the app says 61 to 365 days, but the lender's own policy says 7 to 45 days in one repayment
  • The terms let the company keep tracking your location after you uninstall the app, until your dues are cleared
  • Repeated reports of harassment, including calls to references after a loan was fully repaid
  • Bursts of generic five-star reviews, plus copied posts praising flat hunting and rent agreements in a loan app
  • Operator, Play developer and lender all changed in 2026, and the site footer still credits a third NBFC

How to Apply for Bright Loans

  1. 1

    Install and register

Download BrightLoans from Google Play and sign up with your mobile number and OTP.

  2. 2

    Complete KYC

Add your PAN and Aadhaar details plus the basic personal and job information the app asks for.

  3. 3

    Share bank data

Give Account Aggregator consent or upload recent bank statements so the lender can check your income.

  4. 4

    Speak to the credit manager

Reviewers say a credit manager calls or messages on WhatsApp to confirm details before the loan is sanctioned.

  5. 5

Read the sanction letter, then e-sign

Check the due date, interest, fee and total repayment in the key fact statement. Stop if it says weeks rather than months.

  6. 6

    Receive the money

The approved amount, minus the processing fee and GST, is sent to your bank account.

Documents Required

PAN card
Aadhaar, Voter ID or another identity and address proof
Last 3 months' bank statements
Last 2 months' salary slips if you're salaried
A selfie or passport-size photograph

What Real Users Say

In the last week of October 2026 the newest reviews were dominated by short, generic five-star posts, many cut off mid-sentence, next to a steady run of one-star complaints. Earlier in 2026 the same off-topic five-star text about flat hunting and rent agreements appeared several times. Treat the average with caution.

BrightLoans shows 4.3 from 11.8K reviews on Google Play, but the reviews other users marked most helpful are almost all one-star complaints about cost, short loans and recovery calls.

What users love

Happy reviewers mention a simple app and easy approval, and a few repeat borrowers say the money landed within minutes.

Common complaints

One-month loans with a 10% fee and 1% daily interest, repeated calls before the due date, calls to relatives and references, loans marked as paid out but never credited, an app that won't open, and emails nobody answers.

How Bright Loans Compares

vs Moneyview — A regulated lender that covers BrightLoans' loan sizes with EMI tenures counted in months, so get its quote before you accept a payday-style offer.

vs KreditBee — Lends small and mid-sized sums through regulated lenders, and its key fact statement is worth laying beside any BrightLoans sanction letter.

vs Nira — Built for salaried borrowers who need a similar amount, which makes it an obvious second quote before you borrow from BrightLoans.

How we tested

On 30 October 2026 we read the BrightLoans website, its terms, privacy and rate pages, the Google Play listing and its Data safety section, and the lender's own site, interest rate policy and digital lending policy. We checked the RBI's list of registered NBFCs as on 30 September 2026 and read several hundred recent Play reviews. We couldn't open the RBI's directory of digital lending apps, its cancelled-registration list or company records, and we didn't take a loan.

Bright Loans Customer Support Details

Bright Loans is run by Vimanotech India. The loans come from Avinash Capital Markets or Unifinz Capital India, both RBI-registered NBFCs. No support hours are published. To escalate, write to grievance officer Rajat Sharma (+91-9911784545), whom Avinash Capital's grievance page names. Bright Loans' own partner page names Jitender Yadav instead (+91-9811041592, jitender@avinashcapital.com), so write to both. The lender's care desk is care@avinashcapital.com. The site shows two different WhatsApp numbers, so stick to phone and email.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is BrightLoans safe and RBI registered?
BrightLoans itself isn't a lender. Loans come from Avinash Capital Markets Private Limited, which is on the RBI's list of registered NBFCs as on 30 September 2026, and the website also names Unifinz Capital India. So the lender is regulated, but the app's terms contradict the lender's own policy and many reviews describe harassment. Read the key fact statement before you sign anything.
What is the real interest rate on a BrightLoans loan?
It depends on which page you read. The Play listing says APR up to 35% a year with a fee of up to 2% plus GST. The website calculator shows APR up to 486.67% and a fee of up to 10%, and the lender's policy allows rates up to 487% a year. Borrowers report 1% interest a day. Only your sanction letter tells you the real figure.
How much can I borrow from BrightLoans, and for how long?
The Play listing offers ₹5,000 to ₹1,50,000 over 61 to 365 days, while the website's rate page caps loans at ₹1,20,000. The lender's own policy says ₹5,000 to ₹1,20,000, repaid in one go within 7 to 45 days, and reviewers describe loans of about a month, one of them for 23 days. Check the due date on your offer before you accept.
Who can apply, and what documents does BrightLoans need?
The website targets salaried and self-employed borrowers, with salaried applicants aged 21 to 56. It doesn't publish a minimum income or credit score. Expect to share your PAN, Aadhaar or another ID and address proof, your last 3 months' bank statements and 2 months' salary slips, often through Account Aggregator consent. The app also reads financial SMS and your list of installed apps.
What is the BrightLoans customer care number, and how do I complain?
BrightLoans lists +91-8800041445 and care@brightloans.in. If that fails, the lender's grievance page names Rajat Sharma as grievance officer at rajat.sharma@brightloans.in, though BrightLoans' own partner page names Jitender Yadav instead. Keep your loan ID and screenshots. If nothing is resolved within 30 days, file a complaint on the RBI's CMS portal against Avinash Capital Markets.
What can I do if BrightLoans agents call my family or references?
RBI rules bar lenders and their agents from threats, abuse and calls at odd hours, and an agent shouldn't shame you in front of your contacts. Write to the grievance officer with dates, caller numbers and recordings, naming Avinash Capital Markets as the lender. If the calls continue, complain on the RBI's CMS portal and report threats to the police. Keep paying what you genuinely owe.
How do I file a complaint against Bright Loans?
Work the escalation ladder in order. First, raise the complaint with Bright Loans support (care@brightloans.in) and insist on a written complaint reference number — a call with no reference number effectively did not happen. If it is unresolved, escalate to the grievance redressal officer at rajat.sharma@brightloans.in. The regulated entity has 30 days to resolve it. After that, you can complain free of cost to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in — no lawyer is needed, and the decision is binding on the lender.
How do I stop harassment calls from Bright Loans recovery agents?
RBI's rules on recovery conduct are specific: agents may not call before 8 a.m. or after 7 p.m., may not use threats, abuse or intimidation, and may not contact people from your phonebook to shame you. Blanket access to your contacts and photos is prohibited for digital lenders. If this is happening, save the evidence — call logs, screenshots, recordings — and complain to the lender's grievance officer (rajat.sharma@brightloans.in), then to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in if it continues. If the app is not a regulated entity at all, report it on the RBI Sachet portal (sachet.rbi.org.in) and to the cyber-crime helpline 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in. Harassment, morphed images and contact-list shaming are criminal offences regardless of whether you owe money.
