Fundo Baba, usually written Fundobaba, is a website that offers short-term loans to salaried people, and the lender is its brand owner, U.Y. Fincorp Limited, an RBI-registered NBFC. What you most need to know is the price: its home page lists tenures of 7 to 40 days with a 10% fee, and its own calculator puts a sample 30-day loan at an APR of 486.7%. U.Y. Fincorp is a listed NBFC from Kolkata. It runs Fundobaba in a joint venture with Fintech Cloud Private Limited, which manages the platform. There's no Play Store app, so you apply in a browser. Loans run from ₹5,000 to ₹1,00,000 if you earn at least ₹40,000 a month. Here's what the numbers mean for you, as of October 2026.

Our Ratings

Disbursal speed 2.5/5

Fundobaba promises money in 5 minutes, but with no Play reviews and no test loan we couldn't check that claim.

Interest & cost 1.0/5

Its own calculator shows an APR of 486.7% on a 30-day loan, and a 10% fee plus GST comes off before payout.

App experience 2.0/5

There's no app, and the website's pages disagree with each other on tenure, APR, top amount and age limit.

Customer support 2.0/5

A phone line, email, hours and a grievance officer are published, but two different officer names appear on its pages.

Safety & transparency 2.0/5

The NBFC lender is named and on record, but its DLA listing is unconfirmed and the terms allow tracking after you uninstall.

Loan Details & Charges

Loan Amount ₹5,000 to ₹1,00,000
Interest Rate 182.5% to 365% a year
Tenure 7 days to 1.3 months
Processing Fee 10% + GST
Late Payment Charged but not quantified: the application flow says 'Late payment charges will be applicable for delayed payments'. No amount, penal rate or bounce charge is published.
Foreclosure None: 'No Pre-closure Charges' and 'No Prepayment Charges' on the home and application pages.

Eligibility Criteria

Age 21-50 years
Min Income ₹40,000 per month
CIBIL Score Not required
Employment Salaried (salary by bank transfer, at least 3 months with current employer). A 'Business Loan' menu item exists but has no published terms.
Documents PAN, Aadhaar e-KYC, last 3 months' bank statement (upload or Account Aggregator), selfie, two references; terms also mention salary slips

What It Actually Costs

Loan amount ₹10,000
Tenure 30 days, one repayment
Monthly EMI Not applicable: one repayment on day 30
Total interest ₹3,000 at 1% a day
Processing fee ₹1,180 (₹1,000 fee plus ₹180 GST), deducted upfront
Total repayment ₹13,000 on day 30

Illustrative, using the inputs of Fundobaba's own calculator (₹10,000, 30 days, 1%, 10% fee), so you'd receive ₹8,820 and repay ₹13,000, which is ₹4,180 in charges for a month. The calculator itself shows ₹14,000 and an APR of 486.7% because it adds the fee to the repayment instead of deducting it.

Pros

  • The lender is named: U.Y. Fincorp, an RBI-registered NBFC listed on the stock exchanges
  • U.Y. Fincorp's own stock exchange filing and annual report confirm the Fundobaba brand
  • No prepayment or pre-closure charges are listed on its rates pages
  • Fully online in a browser, from application to e-signing the loan
  • Customer care number, grievance officer and support hours are on its own pages

Cons

  • Its own calculator shows an APR of 486.7% on a ₹10,000 loan for 30 days
  • The home page lists tenures of just 7 to 40 days, repaid in one go
  • A 10% fee plus 18% GST is taken out before the money reaches you
  • Pages disagree on tenure, APR, top amount, age limit and the grievance officer
  • No Play Store app, so there's no Data safety page or public review history to check

Our Verdict

Fundobaba isn't a faceless lender. U.Y. Fincorp is in RBI's NBFC register, and it told the stock exchanges in April 2025 that Fundobaba lends under its own NBFC licence. Plenty of loan apps never say who lends, so this matters. The trouble is the cost, and how it's shown. The home page offers 7 to 40 day loans, and its calculator asks for ₹14,000 back on ₹10,000 after 30 days, an APR of 486.7%. The application page says something else: 61 to 365 days at an APR of 15% to 35%. Both can't be right. A 10% fee on a 61-day loan already costs more than a 35% APR allows. Even its worked example slips, showing ₹8,900 reaching you when ₹10,000 minus ₹1,180 is ₹8,820. Treat Fundobaba as a last resort for a one-off gap you can clear on your next salary day. Before you e-sign, read the Key Fact Statement and note the exact rupee amount you'll repay and the date. If you need longer or want monthly EMIs, a mainstream lender will almost always cost less. We also couldn't confirm Fundobaba in RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory.

Who Fundo Baba suits

Salaried people earning ₹40,000 a month or more who need a small sum for a few weeks
Borrowers who can repay the whole amount, with interest, on their next salary day
People who'd rather borrow from a named, RBI-registered NBFC than an unknown app

Look elsewhere if

You want monthly EMIs or more than 40 days to repay
You're comparing on cost: a bank or a large NBFC will usually be far cheaper
You're already using one short loan to pay off another

Not sure the app is genuine? Is Fundo Baba real or fake? How to check it yourself

Things to Watch

  • Two price claims that can't both be true: 7 to 40 days on the home page, but 61 to 365 days at 15% to 35% APR on the application page
  • Its worked example says ₹8,900 reaches you, but ₹10,000 minus ₹1,180 is ₹8,820
  • Its 7 to 40 day loans are shorter than Google Play allows, which bars loans repaid in full in 60 days or less, and there's no Play app
  • The terms allow location tracking even after you uninstall, and the sign-up consent overrides your Do Not Call (NDNC) registration
  • We couldn't confirm Fundobaba in RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory

What Real Users Say

No Play Store rating exists. The top score on Fundobaba's home page belongs to testimonials it chose, and we didn't treat its claimed Google ratings as a source.

Fundobaba has no Google Play listing, so as of October 2026 there are no dated public reviews or star ratings for us to read.

What users love

The only praise we found sits on Fundobaba's own website: a carousel of named testimonials about quick payouts and helpful support staff. We can't verify them, and a company picks what it shows on its own page.

Common complaints

With no Play reviews, we had no dated complaints to read. The site itself warns borrowers not to pay through fake UPI or payment links, so repay only through its own repayment link and keep proof of every payment.

How Fundo Baba Compares

vs Moneyview — Lends to salaried borrowers through regulated partners on monthly EMIs, so you aren't squeezed into a single repayment within weeks.

vs KreditBee — Covers similar small amounts through its own NBFC and named partners with longer tenures, so get a quote before you take a weeks-long Fundobaba loan.

vs Fibe — Built for salaried borrowers like Fundobaba, but repaid in monthly EMIs through RBI-registered lenders, which makes it a fair cost check.

How we tested

On 30 October 2026 we read Fundobaba's home, how-it-works, about, support, terms and privacy pages, its application start page and the code behind its calculator. We read U.Y. Fincorp's own website, its April 2025 stock exchange filing and its 2025-26 annual report, and found it in RBI's NBFC register as on September 30, 2026. We didn't take a loan. RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory wouldn't load, and with no Play listing there were no dated user reviews to read.

Repay only through the Fundo Baba website, never a UPI link.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Fundo Baba safe and RBI registered?
Fundobaba is a brand of U.Y. Fincorp Limited, a non-deposit-taking NBFC in RBI's register, Registration No. B-05.01596. U.Y. Fincorp told the stock exchanges in April 2025 that Fundobaba lends under its own NBFC licence and is managed by Fintech Cloud Private Limited. So the lender is real. We couldn't confirm Fundobaba in RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory, though, and its pricing pages contradict each other.
What does a Fundobaba loan really cost?
Fundobaba's home page lists 7 to 40 day loans with a 10% fee, and its calculator shows ₹14,000 due on ₹10,000 after 30 days, an APR of 486.7%. Its worked example takes the 10% fee plus 18% GST, ₹1,180 on ₹10,000, before paying out. Another page quotes an APR of 15% to 35%, which those fees can't fit. Go by the rupee figures in your Key Fact Statement.
How much can I borrow from Fundobaba and for how long?
Most Fundobaba pages say ₹5,000 to ₹1,00,000, though the home page's rates box goes up to ₹1,25,000. Tenure is the bigger question. The home page says 7 to 40 days and its calculator only allows that range, while the application page says 61 to 365 days. Expect to repay in one go within weeks unless your sanction letter says otherwise.
Who can get a Fundobaba loan and what documents are needed?
You must be salaried, earn at least ₹40,000 a month by bank transfer and have worked 3 months or more with your current employer. The application page sets the age limit at 21 to 50, but another page says 21 to 58. You'll need PAN, Aadhaar KYC, your last 3 months' bank statement, a selfie and two references. Fundobaba says it doesn't rely on CIBIL scores.
What is the Fundobaba customer care number and how do I complain?
Fundobaba's support line is +91 8882400700, open 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM, Monday to Saturday. For complaints, its grievance officer is on +91-8655367146; the terms page names Karan Kotak, though the sign-up pop-up names Swati Aggarwal. U.Y. Fincorp's Fair Practices Code lets you appeal to RBI's regional office if a complaint isn't fixed within one month, and you can also go to the RBI Ombudsman.
Is there a Fundobaba app on the Play Store?
No. As of October 2026 we found no Fundobaba app on Google Play or Apple's App Store, and the site's own FAQ says the whole process runs in a browser with no download. Apply only on Fundobaba's own website and repay only through its repayment link, since the site itself warns about fake UPI and payment links. Don't install a Fundobaba APK someone sends you.
How do I file a complaint against Fundo Baba?
Work the escalation ladder in order. First, raise the complaint with Fundo Baba support (support@fundobaba.com) and insist on a written complaint reference number — a call with no reference number effectively did not happen. If it is unresolved, escalate to the grievance redressal officer at grievance@fundobaba.com. The regulated entity has 30 days to resolve it. After that, you can complain free of cost to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in — no lawyer is needed, and the decision is binding on the lender.
How do I stop harassment calls from Fundo Baba recovery agents?
RBI's rules on recovery conduct are specific: agents may not call before 8 a.m. or after 7 p.m., may not use threats, abuse or intimidation, and may not contact people from your phonebook to shame you. Blanket access to your contacts and photos is prohibited for digital lenders. If this is happening, save the evidence — call logs, screenshots, recordings — and complain to the lender's grievance officer (grievance@fundobaba.com), then to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in if it continues. If the app is not a regulated entity at all, report it on the RBI Sachet portal (sachet.rbi.org.in) and to the cyber-crime helpline 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in. Harassment, morphed images and contact-list shaming are criminal offences regardless of whether you owe money.
