GROx is the new name of MyShubhLife, a business loan app run by GROx Technologies (formerly Datasigns Technologies) that arranges unsecured loans for small merchants but doesn't lend itself. The main lender is UGRO Capital, an RBI-registered NBFC that now owns the company, and the thing to know is that GROx lends only to businesses: you need a registered MSME with Udyam proof, so a salaried person looking for an old MyShubhLife personal loan won't qualify. We read GROx's new and old websites, its Google Play listing and Data safety page, UGRO Capital's partner page and charges list, UGRO's stock exchange filings and RBI's NBFC list. Here's what that shows as of November 2026.

Our Ratings

Disbursal speed 3.5/5

GROx says money is paid within 24 hours of verified documents and offers are often pre-approved inside partner apps, but we couldn't test it.

Interest & cost 2.5/5

Published rates run from 18.5% to 42% with an APR cap of 48%, and the figures differ between GROx's own pages.

App experience 3.0/5

An October 2026 update added PAN and mobile login, yet several recent reviewers say they can't sign in at all.

Customer support 2.5/5

There's a phone line with set hours and a named nodal officer, but GROx's pages, Play listing and replies give several different numbers.

Safety & transparency 3.5/5

UGRO Capital is RBI-registered and names GRO X on its own site, though stale lender lists and old terms on the MyShubhLife site muddy the picture.

Loan Details & Charges

Loan Amount ₹5,000 to ₹50,00,000
Interest Rate 18.5% to 42% a year
Tenure 1 month to 36 months
Processing Fee 0% to 8% + GST
Late Payment UGRO's GRO X schedule of charges: default interest 36% per annum on the delayed amount, by number of days; 8% additional EMI interest if all dues are converted into an EMI term loan. GROx's FAQ only says interest on outstanding dues and penal charges as per loan terms.
Foreclosure GROx FAQ: prepayment without penalty after half the loan tenure is completed; may differ by loan type and tenure. No foreclosure fee is listed in UGRO's GRO X charges.
Bounce Charges ₹1,250 plus applicable taxes per bounce (UGRO schedule of charges, GRO X)

Eligibility Criteria

Age 21-60 years
Employment Self-employed owners of registered MSMEs (retailers, merchants, distributors) on GROx's partner platforms; not salaried individuals
Documents PAN, Aadhaar, latest 6 months' bank statements, Udyam Registration Certificate; GST details if applicable (UGRO)

What It Actually Costs

Loan amount ₹1,00,000
Tenure 12 months
Monthly EMI ₹9,553
Total interest ₹14,636
Processing fee ₹2,000 + 18% GST = ₹2,360, deducted upfront
Total repayment ₹1,14,636

This is GROx's own Play example at 26% a year and a 2% fee, so about ₹97,640 reaches you and the APR works out near 30.7%. GROx adds the fee to show ₹1,16,996 in all, but UGRO's charges list shows no processing fee for GRO X, so your KFS may differ.

Pros

  • Main lender UGRO Capital is an RBI-registered NBFC that names GRO X on its own partner page
  • Owned outright by UGRO Capital since March 2026, as UGRO's own stock exchange filing confirms
  • Unsecured business loans from ₹5,000 to ₹50,00,000, with no collateral asked
  • Daily, weekly or monthly repayment to match how a shop actually earns
  • A written complaint ladder with a named nodal officer and a 7 working day reply target

Cons

  • Rates differ across GROx's pages: 18.5% to 36% in one place, 24% to 42% in another
  • The Play listing allows an APR of up to 48%, and fees can run from 0% to 8%
  • Not for salaried borrowers: you need a registered business with Udyam proof
  • Late payment is costly: 36% a year default interest and a ₹1,250 bounce charge
  • Different phone and WhatsApp numbers appear across GROx's sites, Play listing and replies

Our Verdict

GROx is a real, regulated lending channel. UGRO Capital, an NBFC on RBI's register, names GRO X among its digital lending apps on its own website, and its stock exchange filing says it finished buying Datasigns Technologies, the company behind MyShubhLife, on 18 March 2026. Loans come as credit lines, daily or weekly instalment loans and term loans, mostly offered inside merchant apps such as PhonePe, BharatPe and Paytm. Pricing is the weak spot. GROx's own pages quote 18.5% to 36% in one place and 24% to 42% in another, the Play listing allows an APR of up to 48%, and fees run from 0% to 8%, while UGRO's charges list says there's no processing fee for GRO X. Missed payments hurt: UGRO lists default interest of 36% a year and a ₹1,250 bounce charge. The paperwork hasn't caught up with the rebrand either. The old MyShubhLife site still lists Ekagrata Finance as a lender, though Ekagrata says it's no longer operational, and its older terms claim a right to reach your phone contacts, which the April 2026 terms rule out. GROx can work for a registered small business, but treat the Key Fact Statement as the final word on cost.

Who GROx (formerly MyShubhLife) suits

Shop owners, retailers and distributors with Udyam registration who already sell through apps like PhonePe or Paytm
Businesses with daily or weekly takings that prefer small, frequent repayments
Owners who want unsecured working capital without pledging property or gold

Look elsewhere if

Salaried people after a personal loan, since GROx now lends only to businesses
Anyone who can't carry a rate near the top of the published 42% range or the 48% APR cap
Borrowers who may miss payments, given the 36% a year default interest and ₹1,250 bounce charge

Not sure the app is genuine? Is GROx (formerly MyShubhLife) real or fake? How to check it yourself

Things to Watch

  • The old MyShubhLife site still lists Ekagrata Finance as a lender, but Ekagrata says it's no longer operational and it isn't on RBI's NBFC list as on 30 September 2026
  • Older terms on the MyShubhLife site claim a right to access and contact your phone contacts; the April 2026 terms on GROx's new site say it doesn't use your contact list
  • UGRO's charges list prices late payment as 36% a year default interest, while RBI says penalties should be penal charges, not penal interest added to the rate
  • The website mentions one-month bullet loans, while the Play listing says the shortest repayment period is 3 months, so check the tenure in your KFS
  • Old press headlines on the MyShubhLife site have been rewritten with the GROx name, even for stories from years before the rebrand

What Real Users Say

Ratings read on Google Play on 4 November 2026. Many recent posts are just good or nice, and the developer's replies still thanked users for choosing MyShubhLife until August 2026, so we give the average little weight.

GROx shows 4.4 stars from 73.1K reviews and 50L+ downloads, but new reviews trickle in slowly and most recent ones are only a word or two long.

What users love

Happy users call it a good app for business loans, mention quick approval and helpful staff who fixed their problem, and one January 2026 reviewer says repaying a small loan has gone smoothly.

Common complaints

Recent complaints are about login failures, applications rejected without a clear reason and a few one-line posts calling it a scam because no loan came through. The older reviews Play shows first, from 2019 and 2020, describe slow foreclosure help and a helpline nobody answered.

How GROx (formerly MyShubhLife) Compares

vs FlexiLoans — FlexiLoans also gives unsecured working capital to small businesses, so put its offer next to GROx's KFS and compare the APR.

vs Lendingkart — Lendingkart serves a similar MSME borrower using bank statement and GST checks, which makes it a useful price check.

vs Indifi — Indifi is another lender focused on small business loans, so get its quote too before you sign anything.

How we tested

Checked in November 2026. On 4 November 2026 we read GROx's new and old websites, including terms, privacy, grievance, FAQ and DLG pages, the Google Play listing, its Data safety page and the newest reviews. We checked UGRO Capital's partner page and schedule of charges, MAS Financial's disclosure, UGRO's stock exchange filings and RBI's NBFC list as on 30 September 2026. RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory wouldn't load, and we didn't read MCA records on the name change. We didn't take a loan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is GROx (formerly MyShubhLife) safe and RBI registered?
GROx itself isn't a lender. GROx Technologies, formerly Datasigns Technologies, runs the app as a lending service provider, and loans come mainly from UGRO Capital, an NBFC on RBI's register as on 30 September 2026. UGRO lists GRO X among its digital lending apps and bought the company outright in March 2026. Check the lender named in your Key Fact Statement before you accept.
What does a GROx loan really cost?
GROx quotes interest of 18.5% to 36% on one page and 24% to 42% on another, with a processing fee of 0% to 8%. The Play listing caps the APR at 48%. Its own example of ₹1,00,000 over 12 months at 26% gives an EMI of ₹9,553 and ₹14,636 in interest, plus a ₹2,360 fee. Your Key Fact Statement is the figure that binds.
How much can I borrow from GROx, and for how long?
GROx advertises loans from ₹5,000 to ₹50,00,000. The website says tenure runs up to 24 months, while the Play listing says 3 to 36 months. Products include credit lines with daily auto-debit, 90-day loans repaid in daily or weekly instalments, and term loans of 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. Your offer sets the exact amount and term.
Who can get a GROx loan and what documents are needed?
GROx lends to businesses, not salaried individuals. You need a registered MSME with an Udyam Registration Certificate, PAN, Aadhaar and your latest 6 months' bank statements, and you must be 21 to 60 years old. A low credit score may hurt your chances, though GROx says it also looks at business health. If you're rejected, you can reapply after 6 months.
How do I contact GROx customer care or complain?
Call +91 9019900199 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays or 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, or email support@groxmoney.com. If there's no reply within 7 working days, write to nodal officer Karthik Thampi at grievance@myshubhlife.com. You can also complain to UGRO Capital, the lender, and then to RBI's Integrated Ombudsman if it's still unresolved.
Is GROx the same company as MyShubhLife?
Yes. GROx is the new brand of the MyShubhLife app. Google Play lists it as GROx, formerly MyShubhLife, from Datasigns Technologies, at the same Bengaluru address. UGRO Capital completed its purchase of the company on 18 March 2026. If you have an older MyShubhLife loan, check the lender named in your loan agreement and pay only through that lender's official links.
How do I file a complaint against GROx (formerly MyShubhLife)?
Work the escalation ladder in order. First, raise the complaint with GROx (formerly MyShubhLife) support (support@groxmoney.com) and insist on a written complaint reference number — a call with no reference number effectively did not happen. If it is unresolved, escalate to the grievance redressal officer at grievance@myshubhlife.com. The regulated entity has 30 days to resolve it. After that, you can complain free of cost to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in — no lawyer is needed, and the decision is binding on the lender.
How do I stop harassment calls from GROx (formerly MyShubhLife) recovery agents?
RBI's rules on recovery conduct are specific: agents may not call before 8 a.m. or after 7 p.m., may not use threats, abuse or intimidation, and may not contact people from your phonebook to shame you. Blanket access to your contacts and photos is prohibited for digital lenders. If this is happening, save the evidence — call logs, screenshots, recordings — and complain to the lender's grievance officer (grievance@myshubhlife.com), then to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in if it continues. If the app is not a regulated entity at all, report it on the RBI Sachet portal (sachet.rbi.org.in) and to the cyber-crime helpline 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in. Harassment, morphed images and contact-list shaming are criminal offences regardless of whether you owe money.
