InstaPe App Reviews, Customer Care Number & Details

Employer-linked salary advances, lent by Suryoday Small Finance Bank and Mufin Green

This InstaPe app review covers interest rates, eligibility, charges, documents and real borrower feedback, along with the verified InstaPe customer care number and support email — plus the RBI grievance route if a complaint is not resolved in 30 days.

FINTECHRBI Regulated
Reviewed by BankCreds App Review Team· App Review Analysts Updated 4 November 2026

InstaPe is a salary advance and salary-linked loan app run by InstaPe Synergies, a Mumbai fintech, and it only works if your employer has signed up with it. The money comes from Suryoday Small Finance Bank or Mufin Green Finance, both regulated by RBI, and repayment is cut from your salary, so read the lender's loan papers before you accept anything. As of November 2026, InstaPe's Google Play listing quotes an APR of 8% to 30% and repayment over 3 to 24 months, while Suryoday's own page shows 18% a year. This review covers who lends, what InstaPe's sample loans really show, the complaints about foreclosure and app errors, customer care, and safer options if your employer isn't on the platform.

Our Ratings

Disbursal speed 3.0/5

InstaPe promises instant access and Suryoday says money arrives in seconds, but we couldn't test it and reviewers describe days of errors and maintenance screens.

Interest & cost 3.5/5

An APR range of 8% to 30% and Suryoday's 18% a year are modest for short credit, but fees differ across listings and the Play sample misstates the interest.

App experience 2.0/5

Reviewers report login errors, 'no employment data found', long maintenance spells and no in-app foreclosure option.

Customer support 2.0/5

A grievance officer is named with phone and email, but many reviewers say calls and emails go unanswered and InstaPe hasn't replied to any recent Play review.

Safety & transparency 3.5/5

Both current lenders are RBI-regulated and name InstaPe themselves, but stale lender lists and a contradictory Data safety form cost points.

Loan Details & Charges

Loan Amount Not published
Interest Rate Up to 30% a year
Tenure 3 months to 24 months
Processing Fee Not published as a percentage
Late Payment Not published by InstaPe or Suryoday. Mufin Green Finance's rate card: delayed instalment charge up to 36% a year over and above, plus GST, on the overdue amount. Normally recovered from salary, with e-NACH as backup.
Foreclosure Play sample: 'Foreclosure charge: NIL'. Mufin's rate card allows pre-payment charges up to 5% of principal outstanding. Several Play and App Store reviewers say the app has no foreclosure option and emails go unanswered.
Bounce Charges Not published by InstaPe. Mufin's rate card: ₹500 + GST per cheque or ACH bounce.

Eligibility Criteria

Age 21-57 years
Employment Salaried only: full-time employees of companies, PSUs or state government departments signed up with InstaPe
Documents Employer name and employee ID (employer supplies salary data), KYC the lender asks for including a live selfie with approximate location stamped, bank account and an e-NACH mandate as repayment backup.

What It Actually Costs

Loan amount ₹10,000
Tenure 12 months
Monthly EMI ₹907
Total interest ₹888
Processing fee ₹200 + 18% GST = ₹236, deducted upfront
Total repayment ₹10,888

Uses InstaPe's own App Store sample, so about ₹9,764 reaches your bank and the yearly cost works out near 20.6% once the fee and GST count. The Play sample shows no fee and wrongly lists the ₹907 EMI as total interest.

Try the InstaPe EMI calculator

Pros

  • Both lenders, Suryoday Small Finance Bank and Mufin Green Finance, name InstaPe on their own websites
  • Repayment is deducted from your salary through your employer, with an e-NACH mandate only as a backup
  • A published APR range of 8% to 30%, and Suryoday shows 18% a year for loans through InstaPe
  • Assam and Meghalaya picked InstaPe in 2026 to run salary advances for their state employees
  • A named grievance officer at InstaPe, plus a separate Suryoday officer for digital loan complaints

Cons

  • Only works if your employer has signed up, so most borrowers can't use it at all
  • The Play sample calls the ₹907 monthly EMI the total interest; at 16% the real figure is about ₹888
  • Fees differ by listing: none on Play, ₹200 plus GST on the App Store, an unstated daily charge online
  • Reviewers report no foreclosure option in the app and slow or no replies by phone and email
  • Frequent errors and maintenance screens, including on the Assam government's FinAssam route

Our Verdict

InstaPe is a genuine, employer-linked lending platform, not an open-to-all instant loan app. Both lenders it names confirm the tie-up on their own websites: Suryoday Small Finance Bank lists InstaPe among its lending service providers, and Mufin Green Finance lists it as a digital lending partner. Assam and Meghalaya have also picked it to run salary advances for their state employees. That's a better paper trail than most apps in this space can show. The weak spot is how InstaPe explains its price. Its Play sample calls the ₹907 monthly EMI the total interest, the App Store sample adds a ₹200 fee the Play version leaves out, and the website calculator uses a daily charge per ₹1,000 without saying what it is. Reviewers say they can't foreclose in the app, that emails go unanswered and that maintenance screens last for days. Play's Data safety form also says no data is collected, which the privacy policy contradicts. If your employer offers InstaPe, it can work out cheaper than a typical instant loan app, because repayment comes straight from payroll. Read the lender's Key Fact Statement, check the APR and the amount you'll actually receive, and ask HR how deductions and early closure work before you borrow.

Who InstaPe suits

Employees whose company, PSU or state department already offers InstaPe
Salaried borrowers who want repayment taken straight from payroll
People who'll read the lender's KFS and confirm the fee before accepting

Look elsewhere if

Anyone whose employer isn't signed up, since InstaPe can't serve you
Borrowers who may want to close early, given repeated foreclosure complaints
People who want a clear, published fee before sharing salary and KYC data

Things to Watch

  • InstaPe's Play sample says a ₹10,000 loan over 12 months at 16% costs ₹907 in interest, but ₹907 is the monthly EMI; the interest is about ₹888.
  • A reviewer on 28 August 2026 says the app showed a 3% rate but deducted 6%, and InstaPe publishes no per-withdrawal charge you could check it against.
  • The Play listing says foreclosure costs nothing, yet reviewers from March to June 2026 say there's no way to foreclose in the app and emails get no answer.
  • Play's Data safety form says the app collects no data and offers no deletion, while the privacy policy lists employer ID, salary and selfie data and allows deletion requests.
  • Lender lists don't match: the App Store still names Hindon Mercantile, the website and Play name Mufin Green Finance, and a landing page claims 3 financial partners.

How to Apply for InstaPe

  1. 1

Check your employer is signed up

Ask HR whether your company or department has an InstaPe tie-up. Without your employer's salary data the app can't offer you anything.

  2. 2

    Install the right app

Get InstaPe from Google Play or the App Store and check the developer is INSTAPE SYNERGIES PRIVATE LIMITED. Instape Partner is a separate app for referral agents.

  3. 3

    Complete the lender's KYC

Register with your mobile number and employee details, then take the live selfie. The app uses your approximate location only to stamp the KYC photo.

  4. 4

    Read the offer and KFS

Note whether Suryoday or Mufin is lending, then check the interest, any fee, the APR, the amount you'll receive and the foreclosure terms.

  5. 5

    Accept and set up repayment

Agree to salary deduction and the e-NACH backup mandate, then save the loan agreement and repayment schedule.

Documents Required

Employer name and employee ID
KYC documents the lender asks for
A live selfie for the lender's KYC
Salary details, where the lender needs them
Bank account with an e-NACH mandate as backup

What Real Users Say

Of the 71 newest reviews, 33 are five-star and 32 one-star; many five-star posts are one or two words and one thanks a named sales agent. InstaPe hasn't replied to any. The App Store shows 3.0 from 8 ratings.

InstaPe has 3.6 stars from 140 reviews and 10K+ downloads on Google Play as of November 2026, and its newest reviews split almost evenly between five stars and one.

What users love

Happy reviewers, several saying they're Rajasthan government employees, call it easy, safe and quick; a few ask for 36 or 48 month tenures and top-up loans.

Common complaints

Complaints cover login errors and 'under maintenance' screens (including the FinAssam route in October 2026), 'no employment data found', no foreclosure option, unanswered calls and emails, and a deduction bigger than the rate shown.

How InstaPe Compares

vs Fibe — A regulated short-term loan app for salaried people that doesn't depend on your employer signing up, so compare its KFS APR with InstaPe's offer.

vs CASHe — Lends to salaried borrowers directly through its own NBFC, a fallback if your company isn't on InstaPe.

vs FlexSalary — A salary-linked credit line from a regulated lender, worth checking if you want to draw small amounts without HR involvement.

How we tested

Checked in November 2026. We read InstaPe's website pages (lending partners, grievance, DLG disclosure, terms, privacy policy, calculator), its Google Play and App Store listings, Play's Data safety form and the 71 newest Play reviews. We checked Suryoday Small Finance Bank's partner and LSP pages, Mufin Green Finance's partner list and rate card, RBI's NBFC register as on September 30, 2026, and news reports. RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory wouldn't load, and we didn't take an advance, so payout speed and final pricing are unverified.

InstaPe handles support by email at support@instape.com, and its Google Play contact lists +91 86554 08340. Frequently Asked Questions

Is InstaPe safe and RBI registered?
InstaPe isn't a lender, so it has no RBI licence of its own. Its loans come from Suryoday Small Finance Bank, which holds an RBI small finance bank licence, and Mufin Green Finance, an RBI-registered NBFC. Both name InstaPe as a partner on their own websites. Check which of the two appears on your loan agreement and Key Fact Statement before you accept.
What does an InstaPe salary advance really cost?
As of November 2026, InstaPe's Play listing gives an APR of 8% to 30%, and Suryoday shows 18% a year for InstaPe loans. The App Store sample adds a ₹200 processing fee plus GST on ₹10,000, while the website calculator uses a daily charge per ₹1,000 it doesn't publish. Your offer screen and KFS show the real price.
How much can I borrow through InstaPe and for how long?
InstaPe doesn't publish a fixed amount. Your employer sets the limit, and the website calculator ties it to the salary you've already earned this month. The Play listing says repayment runs 3 to 24 months, though the App Store listing still says up to 12. Interest and tenure vary with the employer programme and the lender.
Who can use InstaPe and what do I need?
Only full-time employees of companies or government departments that have signed up with InstaPe can use it. You must be an Indian resident aged 21 or above; Suryoday's page sets an upper age of 57. You'll need your employer details and employee ID, the lender's KYC with a live selfie, and a bank account for the backup e-NACH mandate.
How do I contact InstaPe customer care or complain?
Email support@instape.com, or call the number in InstaPe's Play listing, +91 86554 08340. If that fails, write to grievance officer Durairaj Ponnusamy at nodalofficer@instape.com or call +91 86554 08338. Suryoday's digital lending grievance officer is on 022-40941556. If nobody resolves it within 30 days, complain to the RBI Ombudsman.
Can I close an InstaPe loan early?
InstaPe's Play sample says the foreclosure charge is nil, but several reviewers say the app has no foreclosure option and emails go unanswered. Mufin Green Finance's rate card allows a prepayment charge of up to 5%. Ask the lender in writing for a foreclosure statement, keep the reply, and check the foreclosure line in your KFS before you sign.
How do I file a complaint against InstaPe?
Work the escalation ladder in order. First, raise the complaint with InstaPe support (support@instape.com) and insist on a written complaint reference number — a call with no reference number effectively did not happen. If it is unresolved, escalate to the grievance redressal officer at nodalofficer@instape.com. The regulated entity has 30 days to resolve it. After that, you can complain free of cost to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in — no lawyer is needed, and the decision is binding on the lender.
How do I stop harassment calls from InstaPe recovery agents?
RBI's rules on recovery conduct are specific: agents may not call before 8 a.m. or after 7 p.m., may not use threats, abuse or intimidation, and may not contact people from your phonebook to shame you. Blanket access to your contacts and photos is prohibited for digital lenders. If this is happening, save the evidence — call logs, screenshots, recordings — and complain to the lender's grievance officer (nodalofficer@instape.com), then to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in if it continues. If the app is not a regulated entity at all, report it on the RBI Sachet portal (sachet.rbi.org.in) and to the cyber-crime helpline 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in. Harassment, morphed images and contact-list shaming are criminal offences regardless of whether you owe money.
