Jupiter is a money app run by Amica Financial Technologies, and it doesn't lend its own money. Its personal loans of up to ₹5 lakh come from Amica Finance Private Limited, Jupiter's in-house NBFC, or from Kisetsu Saison Finance (Credit Saison India), and both sit on RBI's NBFC list. The thing to know before you tap Apply: the Play listing puts interest at 15% to 30% a year and the APR at up to 65.91%, so your own Key Fact Statement matters far more than the headline. We read Jupiter's loan, fee and complaint pages, Amica Finance's own policies, Credit Saison's partner page, RBI's NBFC list and the newest Play reviews. Here's what checks out as of November 2026, and where Jupiter's pages contradict each other.

Our Ratings

Disbursal speed 3.5/5

Jupiter says approved money lands in your Jupiter account within 2 minutes, but some reviewers say the loan option won't even open.

Interest & cost 3.0/5

The Play example at 16% is fair, but the listed range runs to 30% interest and an APR of up to 65.91%.

App experience 2.5/5

The app rates 4.3, yet half of the newest 280 reviews give one star, citing login errors and frozen accounts.

Customer support 2.0/5

There's a phone line and in-app chat, but recent reviewers say calls go unanswered and emails get no reply.

Safety & transparency 3.5/5

Both lenders are RBI-registered and Credit Saison names Jupiter itself, but fee and foreclosure terms clash across pages.

Loan Details & Charges

Loan Amount Up to ₹5,00,000
Interest Rate 15% to 30% a year
Tenure 3 months to 36 months
Processing Fee Up to 4% + GST
Late Payment Per EMI: one-time Rs 500 (loan up to Rs 50,000), Rs 750 (Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,00,000), Rs 1,000 (Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 1,50,000), Rs 1,250 (Rs 1,50,000 to Rs 5,00,000), plus 36% a year on the overdue amount (Jupiter fees page). AFPL's rate policy lists the same flat fees, effective 1 December 2024. Missed payments are reported to credit bureaus.
Foreclosure Conflicting: the loan page says "zero foreclosure fees"; the fees page charges 50% of the processing fee (min Rs 50, max Rs 500) for closing within 3 days of disbursal and nothing after; AFPL's interest rate policy (last modified 28 Nov 2024) says 1.5% of principal outstanding + 18% GST or Rs 250, whichever is higher, from 1 Jan 2025, with lock-ins (3 months on 3 and 6 month loans up to 18 months on 24 month loans), and also promises a penalty-free exit in the first 3 days.

Eligibility Criteria

Age 23-60 years
Employment Indian nationals: salaried, business owners and self-employed professionals; eligibility also uses credit score and in-app account history; a Jupiter salary account or two consecutive salary credits into the Jupiter account can unlock loans.
Documents PAN or Aadhaar (identity and address); salary and income details typed into the app; one digital selfie. Money is paid into the Jupiter account.

What It Actually Costs

Loan amount ₹1,00,000
Tenure 12 months
Monthly EMI ₹9,073
Total interest ₹8,877
Processing fee ₹2,360 (2% plus 18% GST)
Total repayment ₹1,08,877

This is the worked example on Jupiter's Play listing, and the EMI checks out at 16% a year over 12 months. The fee is taken first, so ₹97,640 reaches your account; your own KFS will show your lender, rate, fee and APR.

Pros

  • Loans come from RBI-registered NBFCs: Amica Finance, Jupiter's own lender, and Kisetsu Saison
  • Credit Saison's own partner page names Jupiter Money as a digital lending app it works with
  • Play's worked example is clear: ₹1,00,000 at 16% for 12 months costs ₹8,877 in interest
  • Up to ₹5 lakh over 3 to 36 months, paid into your Jupiter account once approved
  • A published complaint ladder with named officers, plus verified 1600 numbers for service and collection calls

Cons

  • Play lists interest of 15% to 30% and an APR of up to 65.91%, so the headline rate is only a floor
  • Foreclosure terms clash: zero on the loan page, a 3-day charge on the fees page, 1.5% in the lender's policy
  • Mini Loans last up to 45 days, and the 0% interest claim comes with no published fee table
  • A late EMI costs a flat ₹500 to ₹1,250 plus 36% a year on the overdue amount
  • Recent reviews report frozen accounts, an app that won't open and support that doesn't reply

Our Verdict

Jupiter is a real, regulated way to borrow. The app company doesn't lend. Amica Finance, its own NBFC, does, and so does Kisetsu Saison, which names Jupiter Money as a digital lending app on its own website. Both lenders are on RBI's NBFC list as on 30 September 2026. If you're salaried and already bank through Jupiter, a loan here can be quick and fairly priced at the low end. The catch is that the terms don't agree. Interest is 15% to 30% on Play, up to 28% on the fees page and 10% to 30% in Amica Finance's own policy. The loan page promises zero foreclosure fees, yet the fees page charges for closing within 3 days, and the lender's policy lists 1.5% plus GST. Mini Loans run for up to 45 days, shorter than the 60 days Google Play allows for personal loans, and we found no fee table for them. Recent reviews are rough as well: frozen accounts, an app that won't open and support that doesn't reply. Borrow only after you read the KFS, note which lender it names and check the APR line.

Who Jupiter suits

Salaried Jupiter users aged 23 to 60 whose salary already comes into the app
Borrowers with a good credit score who can qualify near the 16% end of the range
People who want a fully digital loan of up to ₹5 lakh paid into an account they already use

Look elsewhere if

You want a lender that picks up the phone quickly when something goes wrong
You're offered a Mini Loan due in 45 days and can't see its fee in writing
Your offer's APR sits near the top of the range; get KFS quotes from other regulated lenders first

Not sure the app is genuine? Is Jupiter real or fake? How to check it yourself

Things to Watch

  • Mini Loans are repaid within 45 days, shorter than the 60 days Google Play sets for personal loans, and their fees aren't published
  • Amica Finance's own list of lending service providers, dated November 2026, doesn't name Jupiter or Amica Financial Technologies
  • The Play Data safety section says the app may share personal info, including race, ethnicity and sexual orientation, with third parties
  • Prices differ by page: interest up to 28% on the fees page and 30% on Play; APR 18% to 46% on an ad page but up to 65.91% on Play
  • Jupiter's grievance page still lists older partners, NDX P2P and Trillionloans, so check which lender your KFS actually names

How to Apply for Jupiter

  1. 1

    Install the real app

Get 'Jupiter: Cards, UPI, Banking' from Google Play. The developer should read Amica Financial Technologies Private Limited.

  2. 2

    Finish KYC

Sign up with your mobile number, then verify with PAN or Aadhaar and a quick selfie.

  3. 3

    Check eligibility

Open Loans, tap Apply Now, enter your income details and press Check Eligibility. A Jupiter salary account, or two salary credits in a row, can help.

  4. 4

    Read the KFS

Before you accept, check the lender's name, the interest rate, the processing fee, the APR and the foreclosure terms.

  5. 5

    Accept and set up EMIs

Accept the offer, set up autopay for your EMIs, and save the loan agreement and KFS.

Documents Required

PAN card or Aadhaar card for identity and address
Salary or income details, typed into the app
A live selfie for verification
A Jupiter account to receive the money (a salary account improves your chances)

What Real Users Say

Read the stars with care. Of the newest 280 reviews, 97 are two words or fewer, most of them five-star, with 'good' alone 24 times, and some five-star reviews are complaints or off-topic text. The developer replied to 19 of the 280.

On 4 November 2026 the app had 4.3 stars from about 6.15 lakh reviews and 1 crore+ downloads. The newest 280 reviews, from 1 October to 3 November 2026, split sharply: 140 give one star and 104 give five. Most are about the account, UPI and cards rather than loans.

What users love

Short five-star notes call it an easy UPI and savings app with no service charge, and one four-star reviewer says the support team was helpful. Many of these are a single word.

Common complaints

Support that doesn't answer calls or emails, accounts frozen without a clear reason, login and 'version not supported' errors, failed UPI payments, rejected credit card applications and cuts to rewards. Loan reviews mention the loan option not opening despite eligibility messages, and EMIs falling due while an account was frozen.

How Jupiter Compares

vs Money View — Another app-based personal loan from regulated lenders for salaried and self-employed borrowers; compare the APR on its KFS with Jupiter's.

vs KreditBee — A large regulated loan app with bigger limits, so get a KFS for the same amount and compare the rupee totals.

vs Navi — Another all-in-one money app that also offers personal loans; a fair side-by-side check on rate and fees.

How we tested

On 4 November 2026 we read Jupiter's loan, fees, terms, grievance and contact pages, its Play listing and Data safety page, and the newest 280 Play reviews, dated 1 October to 3 November 2026. We checked both lenders in RBI's NBFC list as on 30 September 2026, and read Amica Finance's rate, grievance, partner and privacy documents and Credit Saison's partner page. RBI's Digital Lending Apps directory didn't load, so that check is open. We didn't take a loan. Checked in November 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Jupiter loan app safe and RBI registered?
Jupiter isn't a lender itself; Amica Financial Technologies runs the app as a lending service provider. The loans come from Amica Finance Private Limited, entry 397 in RBI's NBFC list as on 30 September 2026, or from Kisetsu Saison Finance, entry 3773. Credit Saison names Jupiter Money on its own partner page. RBI's app directory didn't load for us, so check it yourself.
What does a Jupiter personal loan really cost?
Jupiter's Play listing gives interest of 15% to 30% a year and an APR of up to 65.91%. The processing fee is up to 4%, plus 18% GST. In Jupiter's own example, ₹1,00,000 for 12 months at 16% means an EMI of ₹9,073, and you repay ₹1,08,877 after receiving ₹97,640. Your KFS shows the APR you'd actually pay.
How much can I borrow from Jupiter, and for how long?
Personal loans go up to ₹5 lakh. Play gives repayment of 3 to 36 months, while the website mentions 1 to 36 months and the salary account page 3 to 12 EMIs. Mini Loans run for up to 45 days; the website says up to ₹1,00,000 and the Play listing up to ₹50,000. Jupiter publishes no minimum loan amount.
Who is eligible, and what documents does Jupiter ask for?
You must be an Indian national aged 23 to 60, and salaried, a business owner or a self-employed professional. Jupiter asks for PAN or Aadhaar, your income details and a selfie. It also weighs your credit score and account history in the app, and two salary credits in a row into Jupiter can make you eligible. No minimum income or score is published.
What is the Jupiter customer care number for loans?
Jupiter's helpline is +91 86550 55086, open 9 am to 7 pm on weekdays and 10 am to 7 pm at weekends, and in-app chat is listed as the fastest route. For a loan complaint, write to grievance officer Vikash Kumar at grievance@jupiter.credit, then nodal officer Sumit Kumar at compliance@jupiter.credit. After one month, you can go to RBI.
Is the Jupiter Mini Loan really 0% interest?
Jupiter and Amica Finance both describe the Mini Loan as 0% interest, repaid within 45 days. What we couldn't find is a separate fee table for it, so look for any processing fee on the KFS before you accept. The 45-day term is also shorter than the 60 days Google Play sets for personal loans, so note the due date.
How do I file a complaint against Jupiter?
Work the escalation ladder in order. First, raise the complaint with Jupiter support (support@jupiter.money) and insist on a written complaint reference number — a call with no reference number effectively did not happen. If it is unresolved, escalate to the grievance redressal officer at grievance@jupiter.credit. The regulated entity has 30 days to resolve it. After that, you can complain free of cost to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in — no lawyer is needed, and the decision is binding on the lender.
How do I stop harassment calls from Jupiter recovery agents?
RBI's rules on recovery conduct are specific: agents may not call before 8 a.m. or after 7 p.m., may not use threats, abuse or intimidation, and may not contact people from your phonebook to shame you. Blanket access to your contacts and photos is prohibited for digital lenders. If this is happening, save the evidence — call logs, screenshots, recordings — and complain to the lender's grievance officer (grievance@jupiter.credit), then to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in if it continues. If the app is not a regulated entity at all, report it on the RBI Sachet portal (sachet.rbi.org.in) and to the cyber-crime helpline 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in. Harassment, morphed images and contact-list shaming are criminal offences regardless of whether you owe money.
